Chapter 2

After losing his first child, the first thing he did when he woke up was to kneel in front of me and scold himself for not protecting us. I was immersed in the joy of his rescue and didn't doubt why he knew our child was gone. I foolishly comforted him and drank the bitter medicine for conditioning my body as water, just to get pregnant as soon as possible to reduce his guilt.

But accidents one after another made me lose my child through induced abortion. I thought this was a punishment from God for forcibly changing Louis's fate, but I didn't know that this was the price I paid for falling in love with him!

It was ridiculous that he had calculated everything, but he didn't know that I was the fate changer he was looking for.

"Bianca?"

Louis opened the door and saw me in tears. He didn't even have time to take off his shoes. He hurried over to pull me up and check. Seeing my bulging belly, he breathed a sigh of relief.

"Why are you crying like this? Are you thinking about those sad things again?"

He knew that I would be so sad only when I thought about the five children who had never been born.

In order to coax me, he put his face on my abdomen and vowed, "Bianca, we are blessed people, and the child will definitely be born safely!"

When his kiss was about to fall, I took a step back and asked in a hoarse voice, "Can the baby really be born safely?"

He lowered his head and dared not look at me, but quickly adjusted himself and looked at me affectionately. "Bianca, don't worry, your husband will take you to the hospital for a more detailed examination tomorrow!"

Going around, his real purpose was to let me continue the induced labor. But the doctor said that my body was seriously deficient and this child was most likely the last one.

"No, I just went to the hospital today, and the child is fine. I've asked someone to make an appointment, it's not appropriate not to go!"

Louis impatiently took out the number he had made long ago, "Dear Bianca, for the sake of our child, can you make another hard trip tomorrow?"

Whether it was for the good of the child or Sharon, it was self-evident.

Just at this moment, I felt pain in my abdomen again. Louis, who was already familiar with the details of pregnancy and childbirth, immediately found that something was wrong with me.

"Bianca, don't be afraid, your husband will take you to the hospital now!"

I resisted and refused to go with Louis and the noise alarmed my mother-in-law. She always disliked me and when she saw that I refused to go to the hospital, her face was pulled long,

"Bianca, if you can't get a little bit of energy in your belly, I can also be the head of the Geraldine Family! If this child can't be saved, I will definitely kick you out of the house! Louis is really unlucky to marry you!"

The one who was really unlucky was obviously me.

I didn't have time to argue with my mother-in-law. My mind was full of the need to go to the hospital to save the child. If the child was gone, the lineage of fortune-changers would be extinct in my hands.

Thinking of my mother-in-law's eagerness to had a grandson, I had to bow my head and ask her for help, "Mom, accompany me to the hospital. Louis has been busy all day, let him rest."

My mother-in-law didn't understand Louis's thoughts. Seeing that I was considerate of her son, she pouted and went back to the house to get her phone.

But Louis didn't want his mother to ruin the good thing. When he was worrying about how to get rid of her, the phone rang.

When he saw the phone, a tenderness that I had never experienced appeared on his face. I didn’t know what the other party said, but he suddenly looked at my belly. The anxiety and determination in his eyes made my heart beat wildly.

"Don't worry, there will be no problem tonight!"

I was instantly sure that the child in my belly would not escape tonight.

Seeing that my mother-in-law was about to take me away, Louis deliberately rubbed the olive oil on the side cabinet to the ground.

My mother-in-law thought I was in trouble and ran out of the room in a hurry, but she stepped on the olive oil and fell on her back.

I stood there in shock, looking at Louis in disbelief, "This is your biological mother, how could you..."

My mother-in-law wailed and cursed at me in tears, "Bianca, you nemesis, get out of here! You killed your own parents and you killed my grandson, and now you're killing me too! I'd rather not have the grandson in your belly than drive you away, you jinx!"

Over the years, my mother-in-law had made me angry because I couldn't keep the child.

I was originally distressed that she fell, but I didn't want to suffer this anymore.

"Okay, then!" I couldn't ask for this opportunity to leave Louis.

Louis held me, his eyes full of pleading, "Bianca, it's all my fault, please don't get angry with mom, okay?"

He didn't forget to coax his mother, "Mom, I accidentally knocked over the olive oil, how can you blame Bianca for this?"

He spoke for me firmly as always. He thought that I would forgive my mother-in-law's greetings to my ancestors for his protection, just like before. How could a man who could even calculate his own mother and flesh and blood have a trace of sincerity towards me?

All his protection and love for me in the past was just to make me a tool. I stubbornly left and called an ambulance for myself.

When my mother-in-law saw that I refused to bow my head and only cared about myself, she endured the pain and threw the half-broken glass bottle at me.

"Mom, don't!" Louis's face turned pale with fear.

He stepped forward, but failed to hold me, and fell to the ground with me. A hot current flowed out from my body, and I was in so much pain.

I habitually asked Louis for help, "Save our child..."

But I looked up and clearly caught a trace of joy and lightness from his eyes full of fake grief.

"Bianca, don't be afraid, the child will be fine, don't blame mom, okay? She just fell and had nowhere to vent her anger..."

This sentence again.

Every time my mother-in-law humiliated me, he would whisper to me secretly, "No matter how wrong she is, she is still my mother. I can't kill her, but I will double your compensation..."

His compensation was to try every means to make me pregnant as soon as possible, and then ruthlessly took the child's life.

At this moment, he must be extremely grateful to his mother for her help, after all, he didn't have to do it to me and the child himself.

Seeing that I was trembling with abdominal pain, Louis finally panicked. "Bianca, don't be afraid! For the sake of the child, you have to hold on!"

But the ambulance could only take one person and he let my mother-in-law get in the car first without hesitation. Because he felt that my bleeding was not enough to induce labor...

The hot tears in his eyes fell on my face, making me feel cold all over.

"Louis, send me to the hospital..."

But he didn't understand at all, crying as if his beloved had died.

I bit my tongue hard and asked him with all my strength, "Are you really so heartless that you want to kill me and the child?"

Louis froze. "Bianca, why do you think so? I asked mom to go to the hospital first for your own good. You have a good fate, nothing will happen to you..."

What a good sentence for my own good. I never thought that the person beside me could act so well and be so heartless.

While staring at my bleeding, he felt my fetal movement with his hands, and the worry on his face didn't seem fake.

Perhaps it was because I felt that I was not loved, and the moment I felt numb from the pain, a large amount of heat flowed out from under me, and the six-month-old baby in my belly stopped moving.

Chapter 4

I closed my eyes in despair.

Louis's panicked voice sounded at the right time, "Bianca! Don't sleep! I'll take you to the hospital now!"

When he was sent to the emergency room, he still begged the doctor hypocritically, "Please help me save the child. If my wife has another induced abortion, it will be difficult for her to get pregnant..."

It turned out that he knew this would be our last child. But he still chose to sacrifice his own flesh and blood for Sharon without hesitation.

The doctor was in a hurry to rescue the baby and pushed him away, "The baby can't be saved. If you delay any longer, your wife will die!"

After hearing the first half of the sentence, Louis's mouth corners slightly raised uncontrollably. But when he touched my pale face, he forced his mouth corners down, "Doctor, save my wife, she must be fine!"

When the door of the operating room was about to close, Sharon, who was also pushed into the emergency room, comforted him softly, "She is blessed with a good life, and nothing will happen to her."

"Yes! Bianca has a good fate, and has done so many good deeds, she will definitely be safe!"

He was afraid that he had some misunderstanding about good fate and doing good deeds! I was so disheartened that I couldn't bear the pain anymore and fainted completely.

I didn’t know how long it took before Louis woke me up with an anxious voice, "How is it? Did Sharon wake up after eating the placenta?"

"Good, good! It's good that Sharon woke up, brother, you must take good care of her!"

I stroked my flat belly gently, and felt the bitterness melt into my bones and blood, wandering through my limbs. I wanted to tell myself that all this was just a nightmare. But the winding stretch marks clearly reminded me that six lives had been bred here.

Louis hung up the phone and stayed by my bed. I couldn't stand his burning gaze and opened my eyes. Seeing me wake up, his bloodshot eyes were full of guilt.

"Bianca, I'm sorry, it's all my fault..." he said in a low voice.

"Don't worry, we will have children again, I swear to protect the next child well!" As soon as he opened his mouth, his voice was choked.

I raised my hand and slapped him with all my strength. I exclaimed, "Louis, how long are you going to act?"

Ignoring my struggle, he held me tightly in his arms, "Darling, you just had surgery, don't be angry!"

The familiar smell of pine resin mixed with the smell of disinfectant lingered at the tip of my nose, making me feel so sick that I wanted to vomit. But he reached out his hand to catch my vomit without caring.

The doctor and the nurse who came in for rounds shook their heads and sighed, "You two have such a deep relationship, why is it so difficult to have a child..."

Louis couldn't hold it anymore, turned his head and wiped his teary eyes. I suppressed my grief again.

Then as usual, I seriously asked the doctor how to regulate my body to prepare for the next pregnancy. It seemed that Louis would not give up on getting me pregnant until he couldn’t find a fortune-teller.

But the doctor shook his head and told him regretfully that I could never get pregnant again! He immediately covered his face and cried until his shoulders twitched. Maybe it was because we had six children, there were more red threads entangled between him and me.

Under direct sunlight, the threads were as red as blood. It was ridiculous that I actually thought that was the bond between us and the proof of our deep love. Now, I finally understand that they were lives after lives!

I interrupted Louis's acting with a sneer, "Let's get a divorce!"

I couldn't get pregnant, as long as I didn't reveal my identity as a fortune-teller, he should be happy to let me go free.
