Chapter 4

Eternity's pov

After 2 weeks

It's been two weeks since I started working here at Knights Empire Industry.

I must say, I enjoyed my work here. I mean, everyone is so friendly here with me except that arrogant Aaron Knight, owner, and CEO of the Knights empire.

Avery, the receptionist whom I met on the first day, also ended up being my good friend.

So, now I have a really interesting and amazing workplace.

Well, before coming, I always buy coffee.

One for Mrs. Elle Clark and receptionist Avery and, of course, for me, it's become my daily routine

I am wearing a black dress reaching below my thigh and wearing a white jacket above it with black boots. I tied my long brown hair into a ponytail.

I was just getting away from Starbucks, grabbing a packet that contained three cups of coffee.

Before I could make it towards the skyscraper of the Knight Empire,

A man in a black hoodie. His face is covered with a cap of his black hoodie.

He handed me a brown folder and said, "Keep it." He mentioned to me

"What is this?" I asked as I tilted my head quizzically.

But he spoke nothing and rapidly went aside from my way.

I stood there with a small gasp and stared at the folder.

"What was that for?" I whispered and then decided that I should open this folder when I reach the office.

I came to the Skyscraper of the Knight Empire.

Then I put a cup of coffee on Avery's desk. That receptionist ended up being my good friend.

She smiled at me. "Eter, you don't need to," she said.

"Come on, at least this I can do for my good friend," I said to her.

Then I put coffee at Mrs. Elle Clark's, head of my department office. "Thank you, dear," she said kindly to me.

I said to her with a dazed look of bewilderment because I was thinking about the brown folder in my bag which that mysterious hooded man gave me.

"What happened, dear? You seem worried," she whispered to me.

"Nothing just seems like I woke up too early," I said while glancing around the room or refusing to make eye contact with her.

Then I came into my desk. I stared at that folder; I leaned my head over my chair while chewing my lip and opened that folder.

When I opened that folder, my skin gets tingled seeing what was in it

It was confidential information about Knight Empire, my workplace, and also some very personal information about deals that are going to be cracked by our company.

But strange, this is very confidential information, which is mainly only for the boss and owner of the company.

What is this doing to me and, most importantly, who was that mysterious man?

I should tell him everything.

I quickly go towards the elevator with that brown folder.

And go towards floor 24, the CEO's Floor.

When I arrived at the CEO's floor, I quickly went towards his office.

I met his assistant, Ancy, outside his office.

"Hey, Ancy," I said to her.

"Oh Eter." "Hi, how are you girl," she said to me, smiling cheerfully.

"Yeah, can I meet Mr. Knight, please. It's urgent," I asked her while sweat was coming down from my forehead, as I felt tingling cramps in my stomach.

"Um, Eter." I am sorry but Sir is not here. He is in another branch of the company which is in California, "she said to me, smiling in apology."

"Um, okay," "I said in a low whisper while clutching that folder so tightly, I could feel my nails getting dig to do hard.

"Is there anything important you can tell me?" she said

"N... Nothing, okay, see you around," I said to her and comes out from CEO's floor

It was an evening I was working on files given to me

Someone comes and stands before my desk. It is a bodyguard.

"Excuse me, Miss Granger, you are called to Ceo Office," He said to me

"Okay," I said to him, standing up and going towards the elevator

When we arrived at Aaron's office,

I found two people one is a middle-aged man, and another is a girl less aged than that man and the team of lawyers least six lawyers sitting but my boss Aaron Knight he is not here

When they saw me, that middle-aged man stood up and said

"Miss Granger, good you come. I am Coyle. Now can you please tell us where you are in the morning and who you meet." He said to me, his face having a hard expression, which means no funny business, strictly business.

"It would be great if you told me why I am being questioned," I said matter-of-factly.

"Because of a crime investigation," The woman who was younger than him. She is shorter than him and has blonde hair, which is tied in a ponytail.

"According to surveillance and our investigation, you received a package from someone in the morning," and looked at me, and I remembered the package I received in the morning from a mysterious man.

"I did receive something," I said to them.

"Oh," the woman said, looking at me.

"Do you have that document?" Coyle asked me.

"Yes, it is at my desk," I said, shifting back and forth.

After a while, the guard brings that document from my desk.

When they opened it, they found all the important confidential documents about Knight Industries.

"Why would that man give these documents to you or if he has been collecting them for you?" Coyle asked me.

After an hour, they were investigating me, asking questions about the incident.

I was poking my tongue lightly into my cheek and inhaling a long breath. I already told them that I didn't know that hooded man, but they seemed to believe in me.

Finally, the CEO, Aaron Knight, that arrogant jerk, showed up in all business-like crisp wrinkles free Armani suit with two men following behind him.

Coyle, Abby He acknowledged them and looked at us sleepless. His deep crystal blue eyes stopped at me. He looked at me with a straight face. His hair was messed up like he had run his hand through it because of frustration. He looked exhausted, but still, he looked so handsome.

When I looked at him, I noticed his clenched jaw, intense eye contact, furrowed brows, and reddened skin.

"You," he shouted at me with furrowed eyebrows and clenched teeth, making my muscles tense up, making cramps in my stomach.

It seems like I am in great deep trouble.

Chapter 5

Eternity's pov

I glanced at her, and her face lacked the glimmer that every girl's face has at her wedding; her hopes had been destroyed. I looked at me.

I'm wearing a lovely lace off-shoulder bridal gown. But my eyes are still swollen from sobbing all night. I used a lot of bb cream, concealer, and foundation to mask my tired face, but I still look like a crying mess.

Since childhood, I've had a lot of wedding fantasies, as my maternal grandma used to say.

Marriage isn't something you wear on your finger or sign on a piece of paper. It should be relished rather than endured. It's the coming together of two hearts that beat as one, each willing to make sacrifices for the happiness and well-being of the other. Marriage is so lovely that it would be a blooming rose in the natural world, with its dazzling petals permitted to unfold in the warm sunlight. Maybe that's why we offer roses to the people we care about and include them in our holy couplings so frequently. Marriage is a gift we offer to one other, a lifelong link between soul mates.

However, things are different in my situation. My soulmate isn't getting married to me. I'm being married to Aaron Knight, the Devil, and we'll never be one since I've always been a lone wolf.

He despises me because he only cares about his success, his name and celebrity, and his multibillion-dollar firm's profits because he believes I'm a traitor who might jeopardise his company and reputation.

Flashback

"You," he yelled, and I jolt back a little at the sound of his voice.

"I'd want to speak with her alone," he said, and everyone began to leave.

It's just him and me now.

He's approaching me now. I bowed my head because I lacked the strength to gaze into his ferocious angry eyes, which appear to burn me.

"Please trust me when I say that I did nothing wrong and that I don't even know that man," she said. Tears were about to pour from my eyes, but I didn't let them since I hadn't done anything wrong, I whispered in hushed tones. I've never deceived a friend or a family member.

"You know you might be found guilty and spend years in prison," he remarked bitterly.

"But I don't know that man. He comes and gives me that file before I could ask. He already goes," I said, feeling rooted to the spot.

"Stop lying." I know people like you who don't know anything except to betray people and grab black money, " "He said to me and my heart got shattered at his words."

How can he judge me without knowing the truth? Anger flooded inside me.

I know you are pissed off because of this data and personal information leak scandal, but no one gives you the right to talk to me like this. I won't appreciate the tone you are talking to me in. I can feel my vein that pulses, becomes engorged

After hearing my words, his hands clenched into fists, and he narrowed his eyes at me. Suddenly, he came close to me. He grabbed the wrist of my hand, put it on my back, and twisted it.

"Ah, I cried out," due to lack of energy shooting through my nerves.

"Don't dare raise your fucking voice on me, or I'll do something even worse than you could have imagined," he gritted to me.

A tear rolled down my eyes.

After some time, he pushed me away abruptly and I stumbled and slammed on the wall, falling down.

"I am prepared to return my complaint and investigation on you," he said, causing me to look at him with a small gasp.

"W...... What?" I whisper.

"But I have a condition," he said to me.

"W.. What is the condition?" I whisper, wondering what it could be.

"Marry Me," he said, and my body stiffened, as if I were about to pass out from dizziness.

"Sorry, I can't marry you," I quickly said to him.

"Well, think properly before refusing me. I knew everything about you." Your parents are divorced; your mother married another man and has her own family, just like your dad. He is also married to another woman and has his own family, and you live with your maternal grandmother, who is no more now, but your maternal grandmother's home is the only place you have as your maternal grandmother's last memory. "What if I burn down that house and auction that land?" he said to me, giving me "Try me," Look at.

My blood boils after hearing his words.

I felt an increase in my blood flow to my extremities.

My hands clenched into fists and I slapped him as hard as I could.

"You. How dare you?" He said dangerously and grabbed my arms so tightly that it was sure to leave bruises because it hurt so much and slammed me against the wall so hard that I fell on the harsh floor, crying in agony.

"Don't you dare ever lay your hands on me," He snarled at me, looking like he would kill me anytime.

"Now listen to me very carefully. You are marrying me and not even the heavens can stop me." He ordered while his chest was rising and falling rapidly with his hands clenched into fists.

"Why do you want to marry me?" I asked, still a crying mess.

Because I want to keep an eye on you until the investigation into the hooded man who gave you that folder is completed, and I want to punish you. I know you're planning to steal confidential information about my company, but prepare to face hell now," he said, his muscles and veins straining against his skin.

Flashback over

The door then slammed shut. Wilber, my younger cousin's brother, who is nine months younger than me, and Olivia, the son of my maternal uncle, visit me.

Olivia's eyes are swollen as well from crying, as I can tell.

She encircled me and shut off my air supply with her arms.

"I'm going to miss you so much, Eter," she whispered, her watery eyes blinking incessantly.

I looked down at my hands and responded, "Me too."

"Eter, because you're marrying Aaron, does that imply you're forgetting about "him?" she said, and my heart missed a beat.

I've avoided thinking about him for all these years. Eliot, I've had a crush on him since high school, but things changed after that horrible recollection, but I'll never forget him; he was my first and final love.

Then Wilber, my cousin's brother, approached me and hugged me, saying he didn't know anything about the forced marriage and that if he did, he would do anything to prevent it because he is my overprotective brother, but I have no choice but to marry him to preserve the last memory of my beloved grandmother.

"I can't believe my boo-boo has grown up when my little sister becomes 21 and is getting married," he remarked, cupping my face.

*************************

I felt a churning in my stomach and felt like my insides were vibrating as I gripped the bouquet and clutched the arm of my Brother Wilber tightly.

We enter the eternal and artistically furnished aisle of the church, which is adorned with white flowers and light pink tulips and seems like heaven.

And I saw him, my soon-to-be husband, that devil

He is so handsome and beautiful in his crisp blue wrinkle-free Armani suit, his dark black hair is styled back perfectly, and his powerful jaw is cleanly shaved. But I know the reality of this arrogant jerk for the world. He is so beautiful, of course, he is Multi-billionaire anyone's dream man, but he is a devil in disguise.

His gaze was drawn to mine, and I saw that my mouth was growing moist, that my saliva was increasing, and that my breath was becoming more rapid.

My limbs tremble. I felt an unusual emotion in his eyes for me as I totally glanced up at him, but he quickly swept it away with his normal icy demeanour.

I'm right next to him.

The priest began chanting wedding hymns, but my head is too fatigued to comprehend what I'm saying; I've had enough.

The priest began

"Do you accept the Eternity Granger to be wedded wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or worse, for richer or worse, in sickness and in health, to love, cherish, and obey, till death do us part, according to God's holy ordinance?"

"I do," Aaron said, and I felt fluttering and even mild pain in my chest.

The Priest said it again to me.

At first, I thought to say no, but soon realised my maternal grandma's house was her last memory. I have

My parents are divorced now. They have their own family.

So I only live with my maternal grandmother and grandfather.

My grandma is no more, but my grandpa is still alive and loves me a lot. I have to do this for their house, which is made from the savings they worked hard for, even though it has my childhood memories with them. My grandma's last memory

Closing my eyes, blocking every other thought, I say, "I do."

"Now I may pronounce you husband and wife, congratulations," the priest announced, beaming at us.

"Now you may kiss the bride," the priest said, and here my heart started pounding so fast in my chest.

No, I don't want to kiss him.I tightly closed my eyes. I had never been kissed before. I felt like I would pass out anytime from dizziness.

His eyes are also hard, with clenched hands and a flushed face. He also didn't want to kiss me. I can feel his ferocious gaze on me, but there are too many people around. He leaned forward, and I closed my eyes because of anxiety. I felt his lips brush into mine like a feather. It felt so divine. I don't know why, but it pleases my heart so much. He pulled apart from me.

People started coming toward us to congratulate us and thank us, but Aaron was standing like a rock.

A handsome rock ugh shut up stupid inner voice, he's a Devil.

Well, after some time, I realised he was not beside me. I looked around to find him, but he was nowhere to be seen.

He introduces himself as Aaron's childhood best friend, comes to me with a beautiful, cheerful smile and calls me a sissy because he considers me as his sister. He always wanted a sister.

"Oh, hi Phil, did you see Aaron anywhere?" I didn't find him, "I said to him while looking around to find my husband.

"Yeah, actually he has to go for business purposes," Fhil said awkwardly to me, scratching his neck.

"Um, it's okay, I can understand," I said to her.

Well, what can I expect from Aaron? He hates me so much.

"But he tells me to take you to Knight's mansion," Fhil said to me cheerfully.

"Yeah, let's go," I said.

After saying my goodbyes to everyone, I went outside the church and was stunned to see a Rolls-Royce Phantom....car., "Ready to go to your house, sissy?" Fhil nudged me.

After that, we sat in that amazing car.

"Um, Fhil, where are Aaron's parents?" I didn't see them at the wedding, "I asked Fhil wondering.

Fhil smiled sadly at me and said, "They died when Aaron was 11 years old. He loves his parents so much."

This makes me feel sad for Aaron. He lost his parents when he was only 11. My heart aches for that 11-year-old Aaron.

"So sissy, what is your favourite color?" Fhil asked me cheerfully.

"I prefer green and pink," I responded, gently smiling and staring into his eyes.

"What is the same here? I think we are brother and sister from other parents," he said with a wide smile at me.

"Yeah," I also said to him with the widest smile.

Fhil is an amazing guy. He is his childhood best friend Aaron's. That is because their fathers are business partners. Even Fhil tells me very hilarious stories about Aaron's childhood. Fhil has an amazing sense of humor. I am so happy. Finally, I have an amazing brother and friend here.

Chapter 6

When we arrived to Knight's estate, I gasped as I saw the most magnificent huge mansion I had ever seen in my life.

Knight's Estate was a large estate in one of Yorkshire's most picturesque areas.

After all, it's Aaron Knight's lavender-scented mansion. The aroma brings out the delicate purple tone of the walls, which in the early light reminds me of spring forget-me-nots. I never wanted to live in a large house, preferring instead to live in a cosy and inviting environment. It's the ideal place for needs, as well as what many people dream about.

But I'll miss my old place.

It's my "cottage," as I like to refer to it. The old was a stage for my new works, fresh paintings daubed on beautiful squares of canvass, in the sky, adorned with everything rustic. Until you give it your personality, leave your stamp, and communicate what is essential to you, space is simply space.

But I have to wait for this marriage contract to expire, and until then, I have to live with him; just thinking about him gives me a peculiar feeling, which is quite nice.

The mansion is surrounded by security guards.

When they heard us approaching, they opened a big mansion doorway.

"Wow, this is heaven," I remarked to Fhil, wiggling my fingers instinctively.

"Truly it is, you enjoy this home," Fhil remarked.

When the car comes to a halt, a man in his forties who appears to be the gatekeeper opens the gate for me and bends down slightly.

"Welcome madam, I'm Collins, your bodyguard and personal driver for the time being; we're delighted to have you," says Collins. He smiled and said to me.

"Thank you Collins," I say, smiling. "Please call me Eternity," I say.

"Eternity, I'm going to go now because you need to relax, but I promise I'll show up to see you, I promise," Fhil stated with a lovely grin.

I bit my lower lip as I said, "OK."

He throws his arms around me and reaches for his car.

The mansion's front door then opened.

It was a stunning, fantastic space. My skin is tingling.

His living room is well-designed, with large glass walls around the staircase and majestic white colour draperies, as well as a marble floor adorned with richly patterned carpets.

"Good afternoon Mrs. Knight mam," said a lady in her late 40s as she welcomed me with a pleasant grin.

"Good afternoon," I answered with a smile, "and please refer to me as Eternity." I'm aware of my plucking skin.

"My name is Amy, and I work here as a maid with fifty other maids; we all reside in the servant quarters of the mansion," she said. "Please come, have lunch, and then I will show you your room; you need to relax, and then I will give you a tour of this Mansion," she added.

"Yeah," I said, nodding to her and shifting my gaze across the room.

I'm exhausted and need to get some rest.

Now, I'm in a poor way these days because I have too much on my plate. First, I married Aaron Knight, the richest billionaire in the world, my'so-called,' husband, who doesn't even look at me once, he despises me that much.

I despise him because he pushed me to marry him, which is why I despise him so much.

"But Amy, I'm not hungry; I just need to sleep," I said her as my sight wandered across the living room to a huge, expensive-looking couch.

To be honest, I don't have much of an appetite after this marriage.

"No, no, sweetie, at the very least eat a bit. You'll enjoy my cuisine, I'm sure "She persisted, a puppy expression on her face.

I can't refuse her; if I do, she will be disappointed.

I offer her a friendly nod.

We walk into the kitchen and I look about without actually seeing anything. My muscles are frozen, and I have a knot in my stomach. It is one of the most opulent and elegant kitchens I have ever seen.

"Wow, Amy, this kitchen is incredible," I said, my pupils dilated as I gazed at the stunning work of art in front of me.

Amy remarked, "With a smile," she added.

"I'm glad you enjoy it; please go to the dining room, and I'll bring you your lunch. A second turn will take you to the dining area "she expressed herself.

I plead, "Let me assist you."

"No, no mam," she responded abruptly, "I'll do it for you; you don't have to cook."

"Please do not refer to me as mam; instead, refer to me as Eternity," I told her that I dislike being addressed as Mam or Mrs. Knight.

"OK, Eternity," she did apologize.

I give a nod and walk into the dining room.

I was again taken aback when I saw how lovely and classy the dining room looked.

I sat in one of the dining table's seats, thinking of Eliot, my high school sweetheart and first love, whom I loved with all my heart.

I miss My Eliot so terribly because of how we used to eat together, how he used to feed me with such affection, but that awful and dark occurrence alters everything.

Then Amy arrives with Hominy Grits Deep-Dish Pizza, which smells very delicious.

When she saw my response, she grinned and placed the tray on my table.

After taking one mouthful, I began to devour it.

"Wow Amy, this is really good, I adore it," I told her that after eating her great cuisine, my mood brightened.

Amy said to me, "I'm delighted you like it."

After I completed my meal, I went for a walk.

"Come, sweetie, I'll show you your room," Amy said. "Please freshen up and relax dear."

Then Amy and I proceeded up the great steps. As we were heading down the corridor, she came to a halt in front of a door and opened it. This is the most stunning and lovely bedroom I have ever seen in my life, I said.

"Wow," I said as I gazed around the room.

I take a few steps around the room, enjoying it.

Following that, I noticed a door in my new bedroom. It was there when I opened it.

My clothing, gowns, and shoes are carefully put around it in my walk-in closet; not only my things, but also another expensive-looking lovely dress, bags, and shoes I saw here.

"This is all for your eternity, Mr. Knight's personal outfit designer planned everything for you,"

I gave a nod. I'm at a loss for words. Clothing, as well as other items such as purses and jewellery, are not my favourites.

"I have to go now," Amy said to me, "so freshen up and phone me if you need anything."

I quickly removed my bridal gown and changed into my yellow oversized sweatshirt and shorts.

I stepped from the closet and leaped into the plush bed; I was in desperate need of sleep to clear my head.
