Chapter 2

Before I walked far, I could vaguely hear loud laughter coming from inside.

"Jason, you saw it, we successfully fooled her again. Next time I will be more prepared. Just a little scratch is not enough to make her realize her mistake. And you have to pay for all the wine today. I have prepared a mysterious gift for you."

Jason was silent for a moment. "Ask the waiter to put it on my bill."

I walked back home in my soaking wet clothes, their laughter replaying in my mind. My love for Jason disappeared with every step I took.

Until I saw a woman dressed exquisitely at the gate. I suddenly realized that this was the gift Luke prepared for him.

"Miss, please make way, you are blocking me," she said.

I hurriedly stood aside and waited for her to go in.

"Isn't this the best hotel? How come someone dressed like this appears? It's really disappointing." That woman said to me as she looked at me upside down.

I thought it was really her who came back, but as soon as she opened her mouth, I knew it wasn't. Lucy was born in a scholarly family and it would never be possible for her to say such a thing in public. It turned out she was the woman who Luke prepared a fake substitute for Jason.

On the way back to the White Family villa, I contacted my aunt who was away for the first time. Five years ago, in order to take care of the disabled Jason, I did not agree to go abroad with her. This time, she agreed to help me get a new identity without asking anything.

Before that, I just needed to maintain the status quo and took care of Jason wholeheartedly.

Unfortunately, Jason did not show up for the next three days. His assistant told me that there was an emergency in the company and only he could handle it.

"Bella, I'm already here. I'm safe and sound, you should have a good rest and don't run around." Jason called me as usual after arriving at the place.

This was our agreement, to tell each other that we were safe at any time.

The year I first arrived at the White Family, I made an appointment with several classmates to travel. On the way, we were threatened by the tour guide and locked in a small dark room. He mobilized all his strength to find us who were hungry and black.

He asked me to call him when I went out. He had kept this habit for so many years.

But this time, I clearly heard a charming female voice from the other side. "Mr. White, come and see, do you like this sample? I'll wear it for you to see."

"Don't make trouble." I said shortly as I hung up the phone bitterly.

The appearance of this woman made Jason's lies clumsy.

Since he couldn't move his legs, he never went on business trips. Besides, with the current weight of the White Family, there would be no problem that only he could handle, unless the White Family went bankrupt.

While he was away, I stepped up my plan to leave.

The weather forecast said that it would rain in five days and that would be the day I left the White Family.

Jason was back and he brought that woman back to the White Family.

"Where have you been? The housekeeper said you always go out recently." I greeted him.

Jason looked at me who had just entered the door with an unhappy face. I took out the Chinese medicine bag in my hand and shook it.

"I just found a small pharmacy with good medical skills. Just when you are back, I will make it for you to soak your feet in the evening," I explained.

His eyes looked at the medicine bag for a moment.

"Yeah," he replied casually.

My tense heart relaxed immediately and I handed the medicine bag to the housekeeper and walked over to push him naturally.

Unexpectedly, I was pushed away by the woman behind him.

"Bella, this is Sonia, the private doctor that Luke hired for me. She will arrange my daily care in the future, just listen to her instructions."

Chapter 3

I looked at the lies he blurted out and laughed at myself in my heart. Private doctor, or private lover?

"You must be Mr. White's niece, please take care of me in the future."

That's how Jason introduced me, his niece.

My last name was Swansee and his last name was White. What kind of uncle was he to me and what uncle would hug his niece or even kiss her.

Since he no longer needs me, I went upstairs tactfully.

"Yes, I am his niece. Uncle, I'll go up first."

When I said the word uncle, I deliberately emphasized my voice. It made him frown, but he didn't say anything until I went upstairs.

The sound of two people laughing soon came from downstairs.

"Mr. White, this is the medicinal food I made for you. I'll feed you."

"You are so mean. Just eat, why bite someone's hand?"

"Don't you know whether I need to be supplemented? Do you want to try tonight?"

I covered my ears and turned up the volume of my phone, but I couldn't avoid it.

In the end, I just let go and let my tears soak the corners of the quilt, but I just covered my mouth tightly to prevent myself from making any sound.

When I was fifteen, my parents died unexpectedly. Jason’s father was my grandfather's comrade-in-arms. He took me to the White Family and handed me over to the youngest son Jason to take care of me.

I did call him my uncle for five years and it was him who accompanied me out of the pain of losing my relatives. He would help me attend parent-teacher meetings, remember my birthday, always take me out when he goes out and even cook brown sugar water for me every month when I have my period.

When I was eighteen, I mustered up the courage to confess to him, but found out that he had a girlfriend.

After his legs became disabled, we resumed our previous relationship and he even took the initiative to kiss me. I thought I finally got love and I took care of him for five years, but it turned out to be a play of his.

Yes, Jason, he never said he loved me. Everything was just my own wishful thinking.

After a sleepless night, I got up with two red and swollen eyes.

But I saw Sonia coming out of Jason’s room in loose pajamas. The kiss marks on her neck and the charm of her eyebrows and eyes all showed what they did last night.

I was stunned by this scene. "You guys——"

I thought I had made all the preparations to leave. But I still felt sore in my eyes when I saw it with my own eyes.

Jason, how could he do this. Under my nose, in the next room, he...

The cup in my hand fell to the ground with a "bang" and the fragments scratched my ankle.

Jason came out of the room immediately after hearing the sound and the moment he saw me, his eyes began to panic and dodge.

"Bella, listen to my explanation. It's not what you think. Sonia just came to the room to massage my legs. If you don't believe me, ask her."

Sonia yawned nonchalantly. "Yes, I was massaging Mr. White."

But I clearly saw the provocation in her eyes, which was a woman's intuition. Seeing that I still didn't believe it, Jason began to get angry.

"Why are you so dirty? What do you think of a good treatment!" he shouted at me.

"Sonia is a doctor, how can she work in the future? Don't you want my legs to get better?"

Every time Jason said a word, the pain in my heart increased. It was obviously he who did something wrong, but in the end it became my dirty thoughts.

Jason, was I really so unbearable in your heart? No wonder he thought that I pretended to be sick that day to stop him from chasing after Lucy.

Chapter 4

"Apologize to Dr. Sonia." His last words broke my heart.

I suppressed the pain in my heart and bowed to Sonia earnestly. "Doctor Sonia, I'm sorry, I misunderstood you."

After receiving a satisfactory reply, Jason's complexion improved.

He waved to let Sonia leave and then said to me, "Come here, I'll apply medicine for you."

I only then noticed that the wound on my foot had dyed the originally white slippers red. Jason carefully picked up the fragments on my foot, as if he had a treasure that would break at the touch.

In the past five years, he always scolded me and belittled me with the harshest words when he was in a bad mood. When I wanted to escape, he stuffed me with a candied date.

I stared at his serious face and said to him silently. Jason, I didn’t want to eat the candied dates you gave me anymore.

Due to my foot injury, I basically stayed in the room.

Suddenly, the door was knocked by the housekeeper and behind him was Sonia.

"Miss Swansee, Mr. White asked you and Dr. Sonia to change rooms so that it would be more convenient to treat him."

"Housekeeper, please change all the furniture here. I have a mysophobia and don't use things that have been used by others."

I moved to the smallest room in the corner and put away the things Jason gave me one by one. Watching the flames devour them, my love for Jason disappeared.

"What are you burning?"

"Nothing, just packing up some unwanted things."

The weather forecast said it would rain today. Sonia and Jason went out early in the morning.

The raindrops began to hit the window and I held the phone tightly in my hand, quietly waiting for the 99th time to come.

Finally, the ring rang. The voice on the other side was still as anxious as ever, accompanied by Jason's muffled groan.

"Bella, hurry up and deliver the medicine to Mr. White. We are at No. 35 St. Louis Road."

I exhaled deeply and answered softly, "I'll be there soon."

The rain today is as heavy as the day Lucy left. The difference is that I got caught in the rain and had a fever because I was helping Jason find the ring that Lucy left in the bushes. And today I took the initiative to walk into the trap designed by Jason to punish me.

On the other side, Jason was drinking leisurely. Sonia wanted to lean on him, but he refused coldly.

"Learn more like her, she won't be like this." Jason ignored her.

Sonia sat up straight with an ugly face.

Luke on the side saw that the situation was not right and said jokingly, "Jason, I have arranged a big one this time, which will definitely make Bella regret stopping you."

Luke continued, "I specifically found those gangsters. But after this time, how do you plan to deal with her?"

Jason finished the wine glass in his hand expressionlessly and the people around him didn't dare to breathe instantly.

"The punishment is over. I won't see her again."

After saying this, Luke beside him suddenly breathed a sigh of relief.

When I arrived at St. Louis Road, I saw a narrow and dark alley and No. 35 was at the end. I mustered up the courage to walk in, persuading myself with every step.

"Bella, don't be afraid. You will be free after today. No matter how cruel Jason is, he will only make you hurt a little and the pain will be over in a few days."

But I was wrong, so wrong. A group of people ruthlessly tore my clothes and their cold hands wandered around my body at will.

"No, let me go!"

"Jason, I was wrong, please forgive me!"
