Chapter 3

"As for the property, you don't have a share. It all belongs to Scarlett."

Haha, so cruel, so cruel, not leaving any way out for anyone.

Only then did I realize that they had already prepared this game of chess in order to win at this moment.

Not only did Vincent get out of his marriage to me, he also helped Scarlett take away all my property.

In order to make me give up completely and stop bothering him, Vincent even threw the divorce agreement at me.

"Look carefully, you signed your own name, I didn't ask someone to imitate your handwriting.

I was so angry that I laughed. If he really wanted a divorce, he wouldn't have to do this. He could just tell me directly.

I'm not a dog, why are you so shameless as to pester me?

I threw the divorce agreement into the trash can next to me.

"Vincent, since you chose this path yourself, don't cry and say you regret it later."

"Haha, are you talking nonsense? You should be the one crying and regretting."

Scarlett stood up and cast a glance at everyone present, forcing them to start making a choice.

"Since you're unwilling to leave, I'll let you face reality and see whether they support you or me."

Scarlett's face suddenly darkened, and she spoke in a cold and inhuman voice.

"Everyone, take this opportunity today to express your stance."

"Are you supporting me or my sister? Now, those who support my sister please raise your hands."

As soon as the words fell, the scene fell into silence and everyone looked at each other in surprise.

"I advise you to think it over carefully. No matter how smart my sister was in the past, the power is in my hands after all."

The threat was self-evident, and it frightened a shareholder who was about to raise his hand so much that he dared not raise his hand anymore.

It was because Vincent was holding a bunch of photos in his hand, and they were all of their family members.

If they choose me, their families’ lives will be in danger.

"I'm sorry, Eleanor. We were forced into this situation. Please understand us."

I understand. I really understand their difficulties, so I won’t be angry.

"You're smart. In that case, you, Eleanor, will have nothing to do with the Kingston family from now on."

"So, are you going to walk out on your own? Or should I order someone to come in and carry you out?"

I sneered. Every bit of this place is almost the kingdom that I, Eleanor, built with my life.

How could I possibly leave this place and hand it over to others?

I pulled out a chair and sat down, lighting a cigarette.

"What if I don't leave? What can you do to me?"

Scarlett's lackey slammed the table and stood up.

"Who do you think you are? Do you still think you're the Eleanor who used to call the shots? Your time is over."

"What can I do to you? Then let your men come in, break your legs with their own hands, and then lift you up and throw you out."

The lackey's words represented Scarlett's words, and she smiled and acquiesced.

Then, several familiar-looking people rushed into the conference room. They were my trusted confidants who I had trained.

Scarlett actually bribed them to use this trick on me, which is the most bloodless punishment.

"You have also learned to rebel?"

"Yes, people die for money and birds die for food. This is the principle you taught me, sir."

"Hahaha, I never thought that the soldiers I trained with my own hands, the men I raised with my money, would eventually turn into swords and stab me."

Scarlett raised her hand and tapped the tabletop rhythmically, a smile on her face.

With my confidant dealing with me, everyone stopped panicking and became bolder.

Chapter 4

"Eleanor, I've been dissatisfied with you for a long time. Who do you think you are? You always think you are the emperor and tell us what to do."

"You are doomed now. God has mercy on you!"

"It's no use sitting there calmly. What? Are you still going to pretend to be cool?"

It turns out that this group of people are really fence-sitters, they will support whoever is in power.

But, without me, how could they be where they are today?

"One lost all his fortune gambling, one was kidnapped while traveling abroad, and one's mother was critically ill and I had to ask a surgeon to come back and save her..."

"Who helped you with all this?"

"So what? You're the one helping us out of spite. We never asked you for anything."

Good, very good, I finally remember that you are ungrateful.

To be honest, I feel really chilled by their betrayal.

As I faced pairs of eyes that wanted to kill me, my confidant, at Scarlett's command, started to come over and attack me.

"Sister, let me tell you one more thing."

"Now that I have returned to my roots, your mother can no longer occupy the Family Mausoleum. I have ordered her coffin to be dug out and made way for my mother's burial."

"And the family photos, I've thrown them in the trash."

Faced with the villain's insidiousness and viciousness, I was finally angry.

You can touch me, but you can’t touch my mother.

I picked up a stool and threw it at Scarlett. She couldn't avoid my attack and was hit and fell to the ground.

"Damn it, you dare to hit me, do it now."

Before his henchmen could make a move, Vincent picked up the ashtray and smashed it on my head.

"Eleanor, if you dare to hurt my woman, I will never forgive you."

I was about to slap him, but Scarlett shouted.

"Vincent has cancer. Are you sure you want to give him another fatal blow?"

I paused, but Vincent deliberately smiled and escaped back into Scarlett's arms.

"Haha, what an idiot! And you still say how smart you are."

"I was just kidding you, but you took it seriously. Honey, what should I do? She seems to love you very much!"

Suddenly, everyone burst into laughter at me. I shrugged nonchalantly, suppressing my anger and ignoring their contempt and ridicule.

"Scarlett, I did have one moment of regret, and that was not getting rid of you back then, allowing you to wreak havoc in the Kingston family for so long."

Madam Kingston refused to acknowledge her back then, not because of her identity, but because of her social problems.

The fact that she could push her savior off a cliff shows how evil her heart was. She was only twelve years old at the time.

As expected, bad people are born with it. This was my first mistake, letting her return to the Kingston family.

They all thought I was finished, so they started praising Scarlett unscrupulously.

"What are you all standing there for? Go beat Eleanor up quickly. It would be best if you broke her arms and legs to prevent him from coming back to bother Eleanor in the future."

"If she died of fright, bury her with her old mother so they can keep each other company down there."

"Hahaha, that's right." Scarlett shouted, "Go ahead! Beat him to death."

But a few minutes passed and my confidant still didn't move.

Scarlett and Vincent shouted at them in dissatisfaction: "Are you deaf? I told you to do it!"

I scoffed and said, "Did you hear that? Hurry up and do it!"

The next second, the group of henchmen finally made a move, raised their feet and kicked Scarlett away. Vincent opened his eyes wide and watched.
