Chapter 1
During my internship, I happened to be responsible for giving injections and drawing blood during the university physical examination.
I didn't expect that the last person to come for the blood draw would be my ex-boyfriend, Damian Banks.
I screwed up and took his blood three times.
He frowned and said, "How about we get back together so that you can practice on me?"

When I picked up the fourth needle and was about to poke it into Damian's arm, he finally grabbed my hand and frowned.
"Ella, how about we get back together so that you can practice on me?"
Hearing that, I felt something weird.
It reminded me of a year ago when I sat in the classroom with Damian and always poked him with needles as practice.
Coming back to my senses, I turned my head, pretended to be calm, and said, "No need. My current boyfriend volunteers to be my guinea pig."
Damian raised an eyebrow and casually glanced at the white coat sleeves I had rolled up.
He pointed at my exposed arm and said, "Your boyfriend doesn't mind you having your ex-boyfriend's name tattooed on your arm?"
How strange. I tattooed it on my biceps, which was not exposed. How did he know I didn't wash it off?
I gritted my teeth and didn't want to admit it. "I've already washed off that unlucky name long ago."
Damian ignored me and casually rolled up his other sleeve, revealing his strong and sexy forearm.
I saw the two letters "EB" on his arm.
A strange feeling suddenly engulfed me.
Damian chuckled and said, "Unlike some people, I've never thought that my ex-girlfriend brings bad luck."
How is this my fault?
I gasped and felt that the man in front of me was pushing his luck.
I inexplicably felt the desire to win. I took off my white coat, revealing my clear biceps, and pointed at the letters "DB" on it.
"Meet my new boyfriend, David Beckham."
Chapter 2
To be honest, this was the first time I had seen Damian with this expression since I had known him for so long.
He was shocked, bitter, and helpless.
Finally, gritting his teeth, he said, "Ella, do you think I'm a fool?"
After saying this, he got up and moved the chair to sit in front of my colleague without even looking at me.
My colleague probably was puzzled but drew blood for him anyway.
I calmly glanced at him and tidied up the things on my desk.
After breaking up, I never thought I would have any intersection with Damian again.
I never thought I'd see him again if I hadn't just been assigned to his school to take blood tests.
Our long-distance relationship that crossed over 500 miles was defeated by time.
I received a message from my teacher, so I didn't pay attention to Damian anymore. Instead, I walked towards the coach with a needle holder.
From a distance, I could see that there were many people on the coach.
I drew blood all day and was now holding a bunch of needles and iodine in my arms. My arms were so sore.
I exhaled and was about to shake my arms to move the iodine when someone took the things from my arms.
I turned my head and saw Damian's face, which was well-known as cute.
He mocked me, "Why don't you let your boyfriend David Beckham help you?"
I rolled my eyes at him and reached out to grab those things back. "Unlike you, he's busy. He never flirts around."
Yes, one of the main reasons we broke up was because Damian flirted around.
He was a 6-foot athletic student. Guys like him attracted girls easily.
When Damian heard me say this, he didn't smirk at me and say I was making a big deal out of it like before, but instead lowered his head and coaxed me in a humble manner, saying, "It's fine. David Beckham isn't here, but I am."
Chapter 3
I frowned and felt that my impulsive action of showing the tattoo on my arm just now was a bit reckless.
But now that Damian wanted to help me carry things, I might as well let him do it.
When I looked up, I noticed that everyone on the coach was looking at us.
At that moment, I really wanted to flee away at once.
As I turned to look at Damian, I saw that he was holding his head high, and his face was filled with pride.
When I looked back at those people, I found that everyone had the same expression on their faces.
Obviously, they thought of us as a couple.
Damian greeted them briefly, "Hello everyone, I am Damian Banks, Ella's..."
I glared at him, hoping that he wouldn't say anything ridiculous. I didn't wanna be doomed!
The next second, I heard his teasing voice, saying, "One of Ella's boyfriends."
Everyone was in an uproar.
I snatched the needle holder from his hands and urged him to leave.
Damian blinked and whispered in my ear, "Ella, we will meet again."
I blushed for no reason and doubted myself. Could it be that I hadn't been in contact with men for too long that I felt shy when facing Damian?
After Damian left, my closest colleague, Holly Tomlinson, pulled me onto the coach.
The others were still cheering, even more enthusiastically than before.
"Ella, I thought you were gonna be single forever. Well done! You've found a cutie pie."
As soon as I heard this, I got goosebumps.
Single forever? It hadn't even been half a year since we broke up.
I bit the bullet and explained, "He's just my ex-boyfriend."
Everyone fell silent, and Holly asked me next to my ear, "Isn't an ex-boyfriend also a boyfriend? He looks good. Have you ever thought about getting back together with him?"
I almost bit my tongue. I was the one who broke up with him. Why would I get back together with him?
"Nope. Unless my name isn't Ella."
