Chapter 1

I've just finished collecting rent from a building when Mom calls me on the phone. She tells me that the Jensens' estranged real heiress, Sienna Jensen, has finally reunited with them.

I pack up my account ledgers immediately before heading over to attend Sienna's welcome home party.

But as soon as I reach the gate, my car is stopped right outside. Apparently, I'm not allowed entry into the Jensen residence.

Hatred crosses Sienna's eyes when she spots my car.

"You're nothing but a thieving impostor! How dare you make a flashy appearance while driving a car that belongs to my family!"

I take a deep breath and explain coolly, "This is my car. I don't know what you're talking about."

The next thing I know, Sienna grabs a ledger and hurls it at my face. She screams at me, "You used my family's money to buy this car, and yet you have the gall to claim that it's yours?

"I'm my mother's actual child, and yet you've leeched all the good things from my family, you filthy bitch! I'll have you know that the hardships that Mom went through for nine months of pregnancy will be converted into a maternity fee of a million dollars! Now hurry up and transfer the payment to Mom's bank account!"

I merely sneer at Sienna before pulling out my phone and calling her mother, Molly Dawson,

"Your daughter demands that I give you a million dollars' worth of maternity fees. Do you even have the guts to accept the payment?"

Sienna Jensen knocked my phone to the ground before I could finish my sentence. She then crushed it under her high heel, grinding on it until the screen cracked. She only stopped when smoke began to rise from the device.

"You have some guts trying to tattle to Mom. Have you really deluded yourself into thinking that you can take my place just because you've spent a few years with them?" she demanded, scrutinizing me.

"Everything that you're wearing and using right now was bought with my family's money. I can't believe that you're so shameless.

"You knew that I was coming back today, didn't you? How dare you try to show off in front of me by driving my family's car? Are you trying to flaunt how spoiled you are?"

Sienna scoffed before scratching my car with her sharp nails.

I frowned when the grating noise reached my ears and barked out an indignant laugh as I looked at the deep marks on the surface of the car.

My car was a global, limited edition model. Only three units were sold in every area.

I only managed to get my hands on it after using my connections, and I paid more than five million dollars for it. I also had to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on it annually just for its maintenance fee.

Sienna was extremely bold for damaging my property the moment she showed up.

She stuck her chin in the air and sneered, "This car was bought with my family's money, which means it belongs to me. No one can say a word, even if I did destroy it."

The onlookers began to discuss among themselves as they excitedly watched the drama unfold.

"Looks like the true heiress of the Jensen family has a short temper. She started intimidating the fake heiress the moment she showed up. I'm guessing that she's going to have a considerable amount of influence in the family."

"But I heard that the Jensen family is saddled with a mountain of debt. Where did they get the money to buy such an expensive car for the fake heiress?"

"The Jensens have cherished the fake heiress like a precious treasure for the past few years. They've never let her show her face in public. I guess the rumors were true."

Sienna's face twisted into an upset expression upon hearing their words.

Jealousy flickered in her eyes when she looked at my face and noticed my smooth skin.

"They only doted on her because they thought she was me. I'm the one who shares the same blood as them. She never would have gotten the chance to live such a lavish lifestyle if we weren't switched at birth."

I burst into laughter when I realized that Sienna truly believed that I was the fake heiress of the Jensen family. Truth be told, it was strange that the other guests, who were there to attend her welcoming party, didn't recognize who I was. That made me wonder who they were.

I took a deep breath and said, "You've got the wrong—"

However, I wasn't able to finish my sentence before Sienna picked up the ledger and threw it in my face again.

"Stop spouting nonsense. Are you going to pay the one million dollar maternity fee?"

Disregarding the fact that I wasn't the fake heiress of the Jensen family—and even if I was—the lady of the Jensen family, Molly Dawson, didn't give birth to me. So why did I have to pay for the nine months that I didn't spend in her belly?

A burst of loud laughter interrupted me before I could say a single word.

"Did all of you hear that my actual sister is coming home today? Are you here to celebrate her return?"

Chapter 2

The crowd split, revealing Brandon Jensen.

He was the eldest son of the Jensen family. He had a weak constitution, so he was sent abroad from the moment he was born to recuperate and rarely returned to the country.

Sienna's eyes immediately reddened. She then threw herself at him with a troubled expression.

"Brandon! I finally found you!"

The two of them hugged each other tightly as they cried. The sight of their reunion caused many guests to shed tears as well.

"I knew that Millie would be upset when she learned that I had been found. But I just missed all of you so much. If my presence makes Millie so unhappy, I'm willing to stay at the Jensen residence as a maid. I'll be content as long as I get to see all of you every day."

Sienna's earlier arrogance had completely disappeared. She curled up in Brandon's arms, looking like an obedient rabbit.

Her words prompted Brandon to direct his gaze to me.

I returned his stare unflinchingly.

It was reasonable that Sienna didn't know who I was since she had just returned to the Jensen family. However, it was impossible for Brandon not to recognize his own sister when she had stayed with them for so many years.

Surprisingly, Brandon slapped me hard across the face in the next second, stunning me momentarily.

"You've already stolen Sienna's identity for so many years, Millie Jensen. How dare you bully her right after her return when you should be making yourself scarce instead!"

I pressed a hand to my swollen cheek, feeling stunned.

What the hell was wrong with the Jensen family?

How was it possible that Brandon didn't know what Millie looked like when he was her brother?

"Although I've been studying abroad for the past few years, I've also kept up with what's going on at home. I know that you're always acting arrogantly around Mom and Dad, but I didn't confront you about your behavior because I thought you were my sister.

"I never would have guessed that you're not a daughter of the Jensen family at all. You're nothing but a fake! I can't believe you're shameless enough to cause trouble for Sienna too."

I barked out an indignant laugh before glaring coldly at Brandon and Sienna.

"I'm bullying her? From the moment I arrived, have I said anything that proves that I'm bullying her?"

Everyone was stunned by my words.

After sifting through their memories, they realized that I hadn't said a word since I arrived. On the contrary, Sienna was the one who kept flaunting her arrogance.

Embarrassment began to creep up on Sienna's face when she felt the crowd's eyes on her. She hastily grabbed the ledger and offered it to Brandon, hoping to distract everyone.

"It's not like that. I felt sorry for Mom because she was pregnant for nine months. That's why I'm asking Millie to compensate her by paying a ten-month maternity fee.

"If she hadn't taken my place, I would have been able to stay by Mom's side and take care of her for the past few years. She's the one who prevented me from showing my gratitude. Is it unreasonable for me to ask for a ten-month maternity fee from her?"

Her voice was choked up. She sounded as if she had been terribly mistreated. "Besides, I'm not asking her for the money for myself. I'm asking on Mom's behalf!"

Brandon's eyes reddened upon hearing her words. He patted her hair with a heartbroken expression before shooting a furious glare at me.

"I've never heard of you doing anything for Mom and Dad, even though they raised you for so many years. You know that our family's been struggling for the last couple of years, but you're still asking for so many things. As expected, you won't feel sorry for them because you're not their flesh and blood."

I burst out laughing and pointed at the so-called maternity fee, asking, "Why aren't you paying the maternity fee when you're the one she gave birth to?"

I rolled my eyes speechlessly.

Perhaps the Jensen family's low intelligence was genetic. It was no wonder they were still hosting a welcoming party for Sienna even though they were saddled with a mountain of debt.

I bent down and studied the scratch marks on my car, doing a rough calculation of the compensation in my head. I then scribbled on the bankbook, saying, "I'll just charge you 300,000 dollars for the car's repair fees. Can you pay me today? If you don't, I'll have no choice but to get in touch with Molly."

A steely expression appeared on Sienna's face. She forgot all about the timid act that she was putting on for Brandon and began shrieking and jumping around.

"300,000 dollars? This car belongs to our family. Even if I trashed it, it has nothing to do with you!"

Brandon looked utterly confused upon hearing her words. He grabbed her hand and asked, "What car? Why haven't I heard about our family buying such an expensive car?"

Chapter 3

The guests began discussing the car.

I shot an amused glance at Brandon. It seemed he had finally realized that his family couldn't afford such an expensive car. It shouldn't take long for him to realize that I wasn't Millie and that he and Sienna had humiliated the wrong person.

Unexpectedly, a steely expression appeared on Brandon's face as he pointed a trembling finger at me.

"You really are something else. How dare you convince Mom and Dad to buy such an expensive car for you? How shameless can you be, Millie? You're not even a Jensen. How dare you use Mom's and Dad's money to buy this car?"

He then pulled out his phone and snapped a picture of the car to identify it. His eyes widened when he learned the cost of the car.

"This car costs so much? Did you drain all of their savings to buy it? I was wondering why they've been reducing the amount of money they send to me every year. Turns out that you've been spending all their money, you faker!"

Furious, Brandon tried to lunge at me, but Sienna grabbed his hand and held him back.

"Calm down, Brandon," she said in a faux-considerate tone. "Besides, I came here to settle the score with her, so why don't we calculate how much of our family's money she has spent and get her to return every single penny at once?"

Sienna lifted her chin and brandished the ledger again. She raised her voice and began listing everything off in a sharp tone.

"I've compiled everything in this ledger, including the clothing, food, housing, and transportation bills during your stay at the Jensen residence, your school fees, as well as your expenditures for your daily necessities.

"Everything has been listed down clearly. An outsider like you must pay us back for all of the Jensen family's money that you've spent!"

I nearly burst into laughter when I took the ledger and glanced at it.

I hadn't expected Sienna to be so meticulous and calculating. She even listed down the number of sanitary pads that were used every month as if she was so averse to the thought of spending even a single dime on Millie.

"Your calculation skills are quite extraordinary, Ms. Jensen. You even calculated the price of every single drop of facial cleanser that was used daily down to the decimal. I'm quite impressed."

The onlookers' faces twisted upon hearing my words. None of them had expected Sienna to be so meticulous in her calculations. Truth be told, her behavior was rather unpresentable.

Realizing that something was amiss with the way the onlookers were looking at her, a glint of malice flickered in Sienna's eyes. She then threw herself into Brandon's arms and began crying pitifully.

"You don't have to be sarcastic, Millie. I grew up in the sticks. A few dollars might mean nothing to you, but it's enough to cover my expenses for a few days!

"You grew up in a life of luxury, so I know that you look down on a woman from the mountains like me. But you don't have to be so mean to me, do you?"

A steely expression appeared on Brandon's face upon hearing Sienna's words. He pulled her behind him and pointed an accusing finger at me.

"What's with the sarcastic tone, Millie? If you didn't take Sienna's place and steal her identity, do you really think that you would be standing here in your tailored clothes right now? You stole everything that you have now from Sienna. How shameless do you have to be to keep antagonizing her?"

The crowd began discussing among themselves again as they shot looks of disdain and contempt at me.

"I really wonder where this fake heiress is getting the confidence to act so arrogantly. If I were in her shoes, I would have made myself scarce ages ago."

"Does she really believe that the Jensens will take her side because they took care of her for so many years when Sienna is their flesh and blood? A fake is still a fake. It doesn't matter that they raised her for years. She should know her place and leave now that the real daughter is back."

"No one in the world would be willing to give up a life of riches to live a tough life instead. She's such a malicious woman."

I took a deep breath and stared into Brandon's furious eyes.

"I'm not Millie Jensen," I said coldly. "You've got the wrong person."
