Chapter 1
My husband's elder brother and sister-in-law were arguing.
His sister-in-law, Moira Frost, ran out angrily, and my husband, Felix Wilson, chased after her.
In the evening, Moira came back with a smile.
Because Felix bought her an expensive bracelet and took her shopping and eating.
I was so angry that I almost hit him.
Unexpectedly, Felix took out a mop from behind and gave it to me.
"You said our house was not clean. I bought you a mop."
I went home for Christmas.
On the first day, I saw Felix's brother, Milo Wilson, and his wife arguing.
I didn't know the specific reason, but they were already arguing when we got home.
Felix and I had just put down our luggage when Moira ran out of the house angrily.
She run and shouted.
"Divorce. Milo, I want to divorce you."
My mother-in-law, Mandy, was anxious.
"Milo, hurry up and chase her. Bring Moira back."
Milo lay directly on the bed.
"I'm not going. I don't care.
"We can get a divorce. I'm not afraid."
Mandy turned around and pulled Felix, who was just arrived.
"Felix, get Moira back. Quickly."
Felix didn't hesitate, left me and my daughter and walked out.
I was stunned, holding my daughter, Truda, in my arms, had mixed feelings.
It didn't make sense for Felix to chase after his sister-in-law who run away from home.
Unexpectedly, what made me even angrier was yet to come.
An afternoon.
Felix didn't answer my calls or reply to my messages.
I was still wondering if something had happened.
But Mandy and Milo were very calm.
They watched TV and played their phones.
Truda and I were the only ones sitting in the messy room, not knowing what to do.
This was Felix's old house. We only had this one bedroom here. And it was filled with miscellaneous items by Moira.
I looked in the closet and saw her old panties and bras.
Her high heels were on the floor.
I even saw two sexy underwears in the corner.
It was not until dark that I saw the two came back from outside, talking and laughing.
Moira was walking in front. And when she passed by me, she deliberately raised her hand.
The bracelet shining brightened my eyes.
Mandy immediately greeted her with a smile.
"Moira, welcome back. I'm waiting for you to have dinner."
"No, Felix and I ate dinner outside."
At this time, Milo also came out of the room, holding Moira's hand.
"Honey, are you happy now?"
Moira looked at me proudly and raised her hand again.
"You bastard. You are so stingy that you don't want to spend money. Look, this bracelet that Felix bought for me. Isn't it beautiful?
"What's more, he also bought a necklace for our son. Come, let my son try it."
As she spoke, she took out an exquisite necklace from her bag and put it around Jack's neck.
I was stunned.
What?
Felix took his sister-in-law to buy a bracelet and a necklace, spending tens of thousands of dollars.
Why?
I looked at Felix. He seemed to have just seen me.
He said quickly.
"Amber, I also brought you a gift."
I was thinking, "Could it be that when he bought a bracelet for Moira, he also bought one for me?"
I was quite looking forward to it, although I still couldn't understand why he bought a bracelet for Moira.
Chapter 2
However, when I saw what Felix took out, I almost fainted from anger.
What he was holding was actually a mop.
"You said our house is dirty. I just bought you a mop while I was shopping with Moira.
"This is the most expensive one that Moira picked out. She said it must be useful."
I was so angry that I wanted to lose my temper on the spot. I had been worried about him the whole afternoon.
As a result, he and Moira went shopping happily, buying jewelries and eating delicious food.
He bought me a mop?
What was going on?
Before I got angry, Moira spoke first.
"Amber, Felix is right. This mop cost 38 dollars. It's so expensive, so it must be useful.
"Why don't you try mopping the house and clean it up."
As soon as I entered the house, she bought me a mop and asked me to mop the floor.
This was too much.
Was she trying to disgust me on purpose?
I was not a pushover.
I looked at Felix.
"Felix, explain it to me."
Felix felt a little guilty, so he pulled me.
"Come on. Come inside, I'll tell you."
I refused.
"Just say it here, in front of everyone. Why did you buy a bracelet for Moira? Doesn't she have a husband?"
As soon as I said this, the whole family looked at me unhappily.
Moira first pointed at me fiercely with the hand that was wearing the bracelet.
"What are you talking about? Milo is fine."
Milo also started to join in.
"That's right. Amber, don't talk nonsense. It's Christmas, but you want to curse me?"
I was not willing to be outdone.
"You know you have a husband, so why are you still asking Felix to buy you a bracelet?"
Instead of being angry, she touched her bracelet proudly.
"What? Before you got married, Felix often bought gifts for me.
"Should we become estranged after you marry him? I'm the most important one to Felix."
I was so angry. What the hell was going on?
Felix never told me this.
Seeing that I was about to lose control, Felix quickly pulled me into the room and closed the door.
"Honey, please listen to my explanation."
"Explain yourself. I want to hear why she asked you to buy her a bracelet."
Besides, I hadn't got it yet.
We could earn more than two hundred thousand dollars a year.
However, I had to pay off my mortgage and car loan, and raise my one-year-old daughter.
We also had to give money to his parents during festivals, and the total amount for the whole year was about twenty or thirty thousand dollars.
"Felix, tell me, why did you buy her a bracelet?"
He quickly hugged me.
"Listen to me. Milo is not doing very well. Moira has always looked down on him.
"If I hadn't helped Milo, they would have divorced a long time ago."
I said, "They could get divorced. What does it have to do with you?"
He said, "You can't say that. We are a family, and we should help each other.
"Besides, I make a lot of money. It's okay to give them a little money."
Nonsense.
I couldn't bear it.
I raised my hand and slapped Felix.
The sound was very loud. I didn't show any mercy.
As soon as the slap finished, the door was opened from the outside.
Moira rushed in front of Felix and protected him.
Chapter 3
Moira protected him.
She yelled at me.
"Why did you hit Felix? What right do you have to hit him?"
Fucking funny.
Felix could buy Moira an expensive bracelet, but I couldn't slap him.
I didn't care about her and just walked up to her, pushed her away and pulled Felix over.
I raised my hand and continued to slap him.
Felix covered his face and dared not fight back.
Moira rushed over again.
"Amber, what are you doing? Stop that."
She pretended to raise her hand to hit me.
"If you dare to hit Felix, I will help him teach you a lesson."
We were about to start a fight.
Felix hugged me immediately.
"Moira, you go out first. It's okay. We are fine."
Moira didn't leave. While Felix was holding me and couldn't do anything, she came over and slapped me.
Then she quickly closed the door.
I was mad.
How could I let her beat me for nothing? No one slapped me. Why should she do that?
"Felix, let me go. Let me go."
I had to slap her today.
Felix held me tightly and refused to let go.
"Forget it, Amber. Calm down. I'll buy you a better one tomorrow, okay?
"If it doesn't work, I'll buy you two. They'll definitely be shinier than hers."
I stepped on Felix's toes, and he let go with a cry.
I said, "You have to understand, Felix. It's not just buying a few bracelets that will solve the problem.
"You shouldn't have bought her a bracelet at all. You're not her husband, so why would you buy her that?"
I didn't listen to his explanation and insisted that he go and get it back.
He only said one sentence.
"A harmonious family brings prosperity.
"Calm down."
I couldn't calm down.
"If you don't take back this bracelet today, you can't have a happy family."
Felix knew my character and couldn't do anything about it.
He left the room half an hour later.
He came back with thirty thousand dollars in his hand and threw it at me.
"Well, here you are. Money. You only care about money, not any family affection."
His attitude made me unhappy, but I still had to take the money first.
After all, nothing could be achieved without money.
"Count carefully. You love money too much."
After he said that, he lay down with his back to me and went to sleep.
After struggling, I was tired and didn't want to talk to him.
I fell asleep at the other end of the bed holding my daughter, Truda.
I woke up in the middle of the night and was so groggy that I didn't even know what time it was.
I heard the door open and someone came in.
I flicked on the light.
It was Moira.
She was only wearing a pair of pajamas, the kind that flatter her figure.
Her ass was about to show.
"What are you doing in my room in the middle of the night?"
She saw me.
"Oh, sorry. I forgot you were home today. I come to get my underwear."
She took the sexy underwears from the corner and winked at Felix.
"Felix, this dress is great. Do you want to buy one for your wife?"
Felix smiled with his eyes closed.
"She's out of shape."
Moira left. I kicked Felix directly under the bed.
