Chapter 3

My car was indeed manufactured domestically. But it was no ordinary car. It was a Cadillac Presidential Limousine, specially assigned to me by the Federal Intelligence Agency—a symbol of honor.

Watching this mob of lawless lunatics, I silently took out my phone and dialed my superior:

“Sir, the agency’s assigned vehicle has been vandalized.”

Before I could hear a reply, one of the parents suddenly snatched the phone from my hand and smashed it to the ground.

“You still dare complain? You’re nothing but a mistress feeding off men—where do you get the face to act so high and mighty?”

“She probably wanted to call one of her johns to come stage a show of support, hahaha!”

“Pathetic! Pretending to be someone important—who do you think you are?”

“Exactly! Were you born out of a trash can, since you love to put on airs?”

They roared with laughter, their mockery sharp and unrestrained.

I stared at my shattered phone on the ground, my voice cold as ice:

“Let’s see if you’re still laughing later.”

Then I turned to the homeroom teacher.

“My daughter was bullied here. You must have known, didn’t you?”

The teacher glared at me with disdain.

“So what if I did? A mistress’s bastard daughter is nothing but society’s trash. Ethan was just taking out the garbage—what’s wrong with that?”

Parents clapped in approval:

“No wonder she’s the teacher. That judgment is fair and precise!”

“Exactly! This is an elite school, not a place for strays to sneak in.”

“A mistress’s daughter doesn’t need an education. Why not just teach her to seduce men from the start? That’s how you live, isn’t it? Maybe she’ll surpass even you one day and land an even richer sugar daddy!”

Chloe grew bolder, her tone dripping with contempt:

“See? This is what happens when you’re a mistress. You and your bastard daughter are doomed to crawl at society’s lowest rung, despised by everyone.”

The crowd joined in, hurling curses and insults until the air thickened with hatred. The louder they jeered, the wider Chloe’s triumphant smile grew.

Sensing an opportunity, the homeroom teacher flattered her further:

“Mrs. Brooks, the principal said—if we handle this matter to your satisfaction, perhaps you could grant us a small favor. You know, our kindergarten is planning to expand, but the surrounding land all belongs to Brooks Corporation…”

Chloe folded her arms, chin lifted arrogantly.

“Don’t worry. I’m very pleased with how you’ve handled things today. I’ll simply say the word, and my husband will hand that land over to you.”

The teacher grinned from ear to ear.

“Then let me thank you in advance, Mrs. Brooks.”

Other parents rushed forward, vying for Chloe’s attention:

“My husband has worked with Brooks Corporation before. Could we be given priority for future contracts?”

“My company is preparing a transition—we’d love a chance to collaborate with Brooks Corporation as well.”

“Mrs. Brooks, here’s an unlimited shopping card from our mall. Please accept it—I hope our families can stay close.”

One by one, they shoved gifts, business cards, even bank cards into Chloe’s bag.

She reveled in it, her entire presence exuding arrogance and pride.

Finally, she strutted over to me, her head held high, and sneered:

“Do you see it now? The difference between people in this world is wider than that between man and dog. A lowly mistress like you is destined to spread your legs and beg for scraps.”

Chapter 4

“And I, the rightful wife, get to enjoy the kind of glory you could never even dream of.”

“I’ll give you one day—take your bastard daughter and get out of this city. If I see you near my husband again, I’ll bury that brat alive!”

At those words, Emma trembled violently and buried herself in my arms.

“Mommy, I’m so scared… my foot hurts so much…”

Her voice was soaked in terror and pain.

I quickly pulled off her little leather boot, only to discover—she was missing a toe.

The wound was ghastly, the sight unbearable. Blood pooled inside the shoe, enough to pour out when I tilted it.

My heart twisted with agony, my eyes burning red. I could hardly fathom how my fragile, pain-averse daughter had endured this torment in silence until now.

I glared at Chloe, fury surging through me.

“Was this your son’s doing as well?”

She cast me a cold glance, her tone dismissive:

“What’s the fuss? I already showed mercy by not letting my son kill that little bastard outright.”

“You monster!”

My hand shot up on instinct, aching to strike her. But at the last second, I froze.

My superiors had warned me countless times: my strength was unforgiving. Against enemies, it was fine. Against ordinary civilians, it could mean death.

I was not to lash out lightly.

Chloe saw my hesitation and smirked triumphantly, thrusting her face toward mine in provocation.

“Go on, hit me! Let’s see if you’ve got the guts to strike the billionaire’s wife!”

Ignoring her taunts, I crouched down, tearing a strip from my clothes to wrap Emma’s bleeding foot.

“Coward!” she spat.

“You don’t dare hit me—but I can teach you a lesson.”

She turned sharply to the crowd of parents.

“Give her the beating she deserves! Whoever impresses me the most will be rewarded as a long-term partner of the Brooks family!”

The parents, who had always looked at me with disdain, surged forward eagerly. Blows rained down—kicks, punches, even a belt whipping across my body.

“You dare raise a hand to Chloe? She’s the billionaire’s wife—how dare a mistress like you even think of it?”

“Exactly. It was just one of your brat’s toes. She’s still alive, isn’t she? Why act like it’s the end of the world?”

“Getting disciplined by young Ethan is an honor for trash like her. With a mother this worthless, what good could that kid ever turn out to be? Even if she were beaten to death, she’d deserve it.”

Even the homeroom teacher sneered and gave me a vicious kick.

Shielding Emma tightly in my arms, I endured the blows, desperate to keep her safe from their madness.

“Don’t hurt my mommy!” Emma cried out, her sobs tearing at my heart.

Her plea was answered by a fat boy’s mocking shout:

“Garbage like you two deserves every beating you get!”

The teacher ruffled the boy’s hair proudly, beaming.

“Ethan, you’ve been brave since you were young, punishing evil and promoting justice. Tomorrow I’ll praise you in front of the whole school and give you an award!”

Ethan’s eyes narrowed in smug delight.

“Hmph, it’s what I should do. I’ll beat that trash every time I see her!”

Taking the kicks and punches, I clutched Emma tighter, my eyes blazing.

“You will regret this.”

The words made the parents erupt in laughter, as though I had told the funniest joke in the world.

“Did I hear that right? A pathetic mistress daring to make threats?”

“Unbelievable—she actually thinks she matters! Chloe is the billionaire’s wife, backed by Adrian Brooks himself. Crushing her would be as easy as stepping on an ant!”
