Chapter 1
My wife, Ada Green, cheated on me, and I caught her in the act.
Ada said confidently, "Eric Smith is richer than you. His underwear smells good even if he doesn't wash it for three days, but you still smell bad, which belongs to the poor, even if you take three showers."
She clamored to divorce me and said that Eric would let her have a good life.
But, after arriving, Eric knelt in front of me. "Mr. Brown, I'm sorry."
Tina then found out that I was a billionaire and burst into tears, "Honey, I'm sorry. Can we remarry?"
"Get out!"

"Hello, is that Ministry of Personnel?"
I was just about to ask HR to inform Eric that he was dismissed when Ada knocked out my phone and slapped me.
She stared at me and questioned, "I just have an affair with Eric, but you'd like to ruin his career. How could you be so vicious?"
"If Eric is fired, how can I marry him?
"Can't you see me better off?"
I ignored Ada and picked up my phone.
Unexpectedly, Ada became even more aggressive and kicked the phone away.
Her thin and sharp tip of the high heel pierced my finger.
Blood flowed out instantly, and the finger was numb, followed by intense pain.
I subconsciously reached for a tissue to stop the bleeding, but Ada stepped on the tissue.
Realizing Ada's resentment, I couldn't believe it. "Are you so eager to be a mistress?"
I never thought that Ada would be so shameless. I barked up the tree.
Listening to my questioning, Ada crossed her arms and said arrogantly, "Even if I become Eric's mistress, it's better than being your wife.
"Eric earns hundreds of thousands of dollars a year. Even if he doesn't change his underwear for a few days, he still smells good, but you still smell poor even if you take a shower three times a day.
"How dare you compare yourself with him?"
It was really heartless of her to say these words.
After we got married, I worked day and night to support the family, while Ada never went to work.
Every day, she either played cards or hung out with friends, and she never cared about housework.
Ada took a fancy to a brand-name bag. It cost more than twenty thousand dollars, but I bought it for her.
She also could pick any place to travel. No matter how much it cost, I never complained.
Even so, Ada still despised me for being poor.
How dare she have to look down on me? Besides, was I poor?
This year marked my ninth year of entrepreneurship. My company successfully raised funds, and its market value exceeded one hundred million dollars.
I was a billionaire, and Eric was just a manager of my company.
I could fire Eric at any time. Ada actually thought Eric was powerful.
She didn't know that I was a billionaire, but I didn't keep her in the dark intentionally.
Every time I shared my career achievements with her, Ada waved her hands impatiently and interrupted me.
She cared about Eric instead of me.
"Get a divorce!" Ada threw the divorce agreement that she had prepared in my face.
The agreement fell on the coffee table with her signature.
Then, she chucked me a pen and urged impatiently, "Sign it quickly. I really can't live another day in this poverty.
"Now, if I get close to you, the stench on you makes me feel sick and want to vomit."
Ada covered her mouth and nose lightly and took a few steps back with disgust.
"I was a fool to marry you, who was a loser.
"But I'll marry Eric soon. I won't have to suffer anymore, ha, ha."
Ada was so glad that she giggled. I felt disappointed but also a little curious.
"How will she be if she sees Eric kneeling in front of me?"
Just as I was about to sign the agreement, Ada said, "After the divorce, I won't ask for anything because Eric will let me better off. But Max must live with me!"
Chapter 2
I threw the pen down and protested, "It's impossible!"
My son, Max, had excellent academic performance, which was completely due to his inherited talent from me.
If he lived with Ada, he would definitely be significantly affected. Besides, how could she be a parent?
I firmly refused, "Max must live with me. It's non-negotiable."
Listening to my words, Ada slapped me and glared at me.
I suddenly flared up and prepared to say something, but Ada hit my head with her bag.
My forehead was instantly cut by the metal buckle of the bag, and blood flowed down, blurring my eyes. I was severely hurt.
But Ada didn't care about me and said condescendingly, "Am I discussing it with you?
"Don't you know who you are? Are you worthy of being a dad?
"If Max lives with you, he will be as useless as you!
"Only a successful person like Eric is qualified to be Max's dad!"
Just then, the door opened, and Max came back.
He was holding the basketball and saw that my face was covered in blood.
I expected him to be shocked and concerned. However, he just sighed softly, "Mom, did you cause this wimp to bleed?"
I was shocked, and I couldn't believe what I heard.
Since Max was born, I always bought whatever he wanted and never let him suffer.
Why was he indifferent?
I immediately glared at Ada, gritting my teeth, "How could you corrupt Max?"
A basketball suddenly flew over and hit me.
I was caught off guard and fell onto the sofa.
Before I gathered my wits, Max rushed to me, grabbed my neck, and said with bloodshot eyes, "Who the hell are you? How dare you talk to Mom like that?"
I stared at him dumbfounded.
Because I couldn't breathe, my face turned red, and I felt very uncomfortable.
There was no greater sorrow than heartbreak, and I was completely disappointed with Ada and Max.
Ada clapped and cheered, "Max, you're good."
Then, she took out her phone and started to transfer money. "Max, your dad, Eric, said that he might be too busy to celebrate your birthday.
"So, Eric gave me ten thousand dollars and asked me to transfer it to you. You can buy whatever you want. If it isn't enough, just tell him. He will give you more."
Ada glanced at me with sarcasm.
After seeing the transfer message on the phone, Max immediately smiled. "Mom, thank Eric for me."
But he quickly changed his mind, "No. I'll call him and thank him myself."
Max called Eric and deliberately turned on the loudspeaker.
Eric laughed. "It's nothing to me. You told me that you wanted to buy a car? Well, hen after I get a promotion and a raise in a few days, I'll buy it."
Max cheered, and it seemed that Eric was Max's father.
Ada glanced at me and said to Eric tenderly, "Eric, I'm divorced. From now on, we are a family.
"To celebrate my success in get ridding of that loser and bad life, how about you picking us up and have a meal?"
Eric smiled and agreed, "Okay, I'll be there in ten minutes."
Chapter 3
After hanging up the phone, Ada noticed that I hadn't signed yet, then she became angry.
She glared at me, spitting, "What are you doing? Why don't you sign it quickly? I want to leave right now. I feel sick just looking at you."
I gave up on Ada, but I was unwilling to let Max go. After all, he was my son.
Standing up, I grabbed Max's hand and urged him, "Max, live with me. I'm a billionaire. I have plenty of money. I can give you anything."
Max slapped me, and my mouth was broken.
He widened his eyes and said sarcastically, "A billionaire? Ha, you loser. If I lie with you, I'll never be able to buy a car.
"Go to hell!"
He kicked me to the ground and guffawed, "A billionaire? You would be powerful if you had ten thousand dollars."
"Pooh!"
Ada hailed, "It's good, Max."
She came over and kicked me with her high heels. Then, she ordered, "Don't come possum. Sign the agreement quickly. I'll done with you, and don't contact us."
I looked up at Ada and Max.
They really thought they would be able to have a good life soon, and they were joyful.
"Well, I help you. You'll regret it."
I picked up the pen and signed.
Ada grabbed the agreement as if she was afraid that I would regret it. She said excitedly, "Max, smash the house. Don't leave anything intact for this loser!
"He has caused us so much suffering for so many years. Don't make it easy on him!"
I hurriedly stopped her. "I'm warning you. These things are expensive. If you smash them, you won't be able to afford the compensation!"
Ada burst into laughter, and it was like I was kidding her.
She broke the coffee table. "Are you kidding me? I've used the furniture for so many years. Don't I know the price? How dare you scare me?"
"Humph, even if they're really expensive, Eric can afford them."
"Max, smash it!"
