Chapter 1

When I woke up from a burst of heart-wrenching headache, I found myself lying in a bed in a hospital.

It was strange. I went to the civil affairs bureau with Troy to get married. "Why did I suddenly get injured and lie here down?"

As I was in doubt, someone held my hand with a big hand, saying, "Jessa, are you okay?'

I looked in the direction of the voice and saw that it wasn't my beloved Troy. Instead, it was Joe Lawrence, who had been pursuing me since high school.

Before I could figure out how he ended up here, the door of the ward was suddenly pushed open.

...

Troy walked in.

Wearing the same white shirt and black trousers as when we had left, he looked plain and yet elegant, but he looked strangely aloof.

Without thinking too much, I let go of Joe and instead grabbed Troy's clothes corner, acting coquettishly.

"Troy, why did you come so late? It hurts so much..."

Troy glanced at Joe in the front of my bed and pulled my hand off his clothes.

"Your little injury isn't serious. Let's schedule a new time to get the divorce certificate."

"What?"

I thought I misheard.

"Shouldn't we go to get the marriage certificate? Why did it become like getting a divorce certificate?"

"Is it a slip of the tongue?"

"Can we do it tomorrow?" Troy looked at me expressionlessly.

"Of course we can." I couldn't wait.

Being able to marry Troy had been my wish since I was a child. Let alone tomorrow, I could go with him now.

"Okay, see you tomorrow."

Troy didn't look at me again as he walked towards the door.

He was so indifferent that I couldn't figure it out.

I had never seen him like this before.

By the time I reacted, he had gone far.

I shouted angrily towards the door, "Troy! Are you just leaving like this? Your fiancée had an accident, and you don't even stay to take care of her?"

"Jessa." Joe, who had been silent, gently pulled me and said, "The doctor said you had amnesia and had forgotten many people and things."

I was stunned.

"Do I have amnesia?"

"And I have forgotten many people and things?"

I picked up the cell phone on the desk and checked the time... It had been five years since I married Troy.

"So not only did I marry Troy, but our marriage came to an end?"

Joe told me everything.

I knew that Troy and I had been on bad terms for the past five years. Recently, I even caught Troy cheating on me and hooked up with his secretary. I, who had been holding back my aggrievance, couldn't control myself anymore, leading to a divorce.

On my way to getting a divorce, I had a car accident.

I was both shocked and skeptical.

I met Troy in college. At that time, he was excellent and low-key, a god-like figure that girls admired but couldn't reach.

I fell in love with him at first sight, just like countless other girls.

But I was more blessed than those girls, as I successfully won him over after pursuing him for almost half a year.

After being together with me, he didn't talk much.

But he had always been good to me, spoiling me.

He could accommodate me in anything I liked to do, anything I liked to eat, and any kind of entertainment activities I liked.

He was aloof. No girls in the whole school could get close to him except me.

No other girl could hold his hands, hug his waist, or kiss his lips.

Even at the graduation ceremony, he only took photos with me.

He was such a perfect boyfriend. No way that he could have constant conflicts with me and cheated on me after marrying me

I didn't believe it.

To figure out the situation, I left the hospital regardless of my injuries and went to Troy's temporary residence.

It was said that after he decided to divorce me, he voluntarily moved out of the marital house and moved to a temporary residence.

When I arrived, Troy happened to have returned from outside.

Besides the black car, he was as noble, elegant, handsome, and charming as always. The woman he was hugging out of the car was beautiful.

I just didn't expect that woman to be Monica Keith, the campus belle of our school back then.

The campus belle, who had been pursuing him for four years, had now become his secretary.

No wonder he would cheat on me.

As they looked at each other, I saw a burst of chilling coldness in Troy's eyes.

I was heartbroken. My hands and feet were cold.

But I walked towards the two of them slowly.

Troy saw me approaching and asked me indifferently, "Miss Hawk, what are you here for?"

Chapter 2

I didn't know why I came here and what I was here for.

When I realized it, I raised my palm and slapped Troy's face hard.

Troy was stunned by my punch. Then he looked at me in astonishment.

It should be the first time I had slapped him.

I asked angrily, staring at him, "When did you two get together?"

Monica was shocked. She exclaimed while checking Troy's face and saying, "Troy, are you okay? Jessa is too much!"

I was so angry that I even laughed.

"How dare she, a mistress, say that I'm too much?"

I hadn't even laid hands on her yet.

After Monica finished checking on Troy, she turned around and explained to me, "Jessa, you misunderstood Troy and me. We..."

"No need to explain to her."

Troy looked gloomy. Sheltering Monica behind him, he looked at me indifferently.

"Yes, I did cheat. Do you have the right to control me?"

"Scumbag!"

I was so angry that I pounced on him and bit his wrist hard.

He painfully groaned, and I tasted the bloody taste.

But I was not satisfied. I pushed him hard and cursed, "I misjudged you! See you at the Civil Affairs Bureau tomorrow! Whoever doesn't show up is a good-for-nothing!"

I turned around and ran away without looking back.

The wind at night was strong and chilly, stinking my eyes.

Tears rolled out of my eyes uncontrollably...

I ran for a long time before realizing that I was an amnesiac.

Five years ago, I lived in the dormitory and got along with Troy. We were preparing to get married.

Today, five years later, I was already a divorced woman.

I had no home.

Joe said that Troy gave me the marital home, which turned out to be true.

But there was no trace of Troy living there. Even the wedding photo we hung up ourselves had been taken down.

I sat on the big bed in a daze as I had difficulties remembering how I got divorced.

To find out the truth, I called my best friend, Daisy Shawn.

The first time I called, Daisy hung up my phone.

I thought she had changed her number.

The second time I called, she finally answered, but she replied without any emotion, "Jessa, I don't have a friend as foolish as you!"

"What do you mean?" I didn't understand.

"It doesn't mean anything. I just look down on you."

She hung up the phone again and blocked my number.

"Even my best friend treated me like this, so what have I done in the past five years?"

To find out the truth, I found Daisy.

Based on how she had been treating me indifferently and her sarcastic remarks, I could roughly understand what she meant.

Since I married Troy, we had been getting along. Both of our careers had been developing smoothly.

Half a year ago, I successfully conceived our first child.

Coincidentally, Joe returned from abroad.

Joe was my pursuer in college, but I never liked him.

After graduation, he, who had been abroad for many years, came back half a year ago.

As soon as he came back, we secretly started seeing each other.

Although Troy was angry when he found out the truth, he forgave me for the sake of the child.

But to be with Joe, I secretly had an abortion when I was three months pregnant.

Troy was extremely sad. Finally, he agreed to divorce me.

Daisy's words shocked me.

I couldn't believe that I would abandon such an excellent Honey and have an affair with a man I never liked before.

It was impossible!

No way that it could be like this!

I grabbed Daisy's arm and shook my head anxiously, saying, "It's impossible, Daisy. You know me best, and you know how much I loved Troy back then. It's surely impossible for me to fall in love with another man, right?"

Daisy shook off my hand and said impatiently, "Yes, I asked you so that day. But what did you say? You said Troy was always busy with his work, and he couldn't give you the kind of emotional support you wanted. Joe is different. He is willing to spend time with you, go shopping, and watch movies with you. He understands what you want..."

"It's not like that!"

I interrupted her and covered my ears with both hands, saying, "It's not like that. Troy understands me and loves me. I understand him and love him. I just want to be with him forever! If I divorce him, it must be because of Monica."

Daisy looked at me in surprise.

After a while, she said, "Jessa, Monica only returned from abroad last month. If you want to find an excuse to shirk responsibility, you should find a more reliable one."

"Of course, it's hard to say if Monica came back to be after Troy or not."

I was stunned.

Chapter 3

I came back from Daisy's house.

I called Troy. The call rang a few times and got hung up.

I called him again, but he just wouldn't answer.

"It is pathetic to think about it. How did I manage to make everyone around me refuse to answer my calls?"

Realizing something, I sent a WhatsApp message to Troy, which read, [Troy, the power is down at home, and I'm scared.]

In the past, whenever I said I was scared, he would rush back to accompany me even if he was on a business trip in another city.

But tonight, I waited for a long time, and he didn't come back.

I guessed it was normal for him not to come to me. After all, I had said such harsh words to him.

The weather at night was a bit chilly. I fell asleep on the sofa.

I was awakened by a burst of knocking sounds at the door.

I almost rushed over to open the door eagerly, saying, "Honey..."

At the sight of the man outside the door, I instantly stopped smiling.

It wasn't Troy, it was Joe.

"Hey, good morning." Joe greeted me with a smile.

I glanced at the bright world outside the window and realized that it was morning.

"What's wrong? You look tired."

Joe raised the paper bag in his hands to me and said, "I bought breakfast for you. Eat it while it's hot."

After speaking, he naturally walked into the house.

I grabbed his arm and said, "Joe, I don't like you!"

Joe was stunned for a moment. A hint of disappointment flashed in his eyes.

"Well, have you forgotten everything? Have you forgotten what we said and did before..."

"I'm sorry. I have forgotten everything." I interrupted him irritably, adding, "Joe, I don't know what I said to you and what I did to you in the past few months, but it wasn't the real me."

"If I have bothered you in any way, I apologize."

"Jessa, you..."

"I'm sorry, I love Troy, I don't want to divorce him."

I pushed him out, saying, "You should leave quickly. Don't contact me anymore in the future. Don't bring me breakfast anymore."

"Jessa, listen to me."

Joe suddenly held my face with his hands and looked at me, who was excited. Then he said, "Jessa, you have lost your memory now. I don't know how to explain this to you..."

"You'd better explain it." I looked at him.

I wanted to know how I ended up being with him.

At this moment, a slight sound rang out at the elevator door suddenly.

A tall man stepped out from inside.

It was Troy!

Seeing me with Joe, he, who had been aloof, was more indifferent in an instant. He even showed a hint of disgust.

He glanced at me and looked at Joe, who was still holding my face. Then he said slightly, "Sorry to disturb you."

After speaking, he turned around and went back to the elevator.

"Honey!"

I hurriedly caught up.

But the elevator door closed before I arrived, and it started to descend.

By the time I caught up downstairs, Troy had gotten into his car.

I rushed up and slapped his car window with both hands, saying, "Troy, let me explain. Joe just... just came to deliver breakfast to me. I don't like him. I only like you..."

Troy stopped the car with one foot.

As he slowly lowered the car window, his face was revealed.

"Miss Hawk, is this a confession before the divorce?"

"No." I shook my head anxiously, adding, "Troy, I do like you."

"Thank you for liking me, Miss Hawk."

His lips twitched. He then said, "But please don't forget what you said last night. Whoever doesn't get divorced today is a good-for-nothing."

Then he stepped on the accelerator and drove away.

I stood anxiously in place.

For a while, I didn't know what to do.

I wouldn't divorce Troy, but Troy had made up his mind to divorce me.

"What should I do?"

"What should I do to make him forgive me?"

To win him back, I tried to recall how I had pursued him back then.

I secretly had encounters with him.

I secretly gave him chocolate.

I pretended to walk without paying any attention and bumped into him.

I pretended to have a task that I couldn't complete and asked him for help...

These tricks, which I used to play when I was young, should be useless to him now.

After thinking about it, I finally walked into the kitchen.

I spent half a day making his favorite meal.

During that time, I received a call from him. He asked why I hadn't arrived at the Civil Affairs Bureau yet.

He went there.

I was in pain, but I could only force a smile.

"Troy, I made your favorite meal. Can I bring it to your company later?"

"Miss Hawk, I value my time."

"I know, Troy. Hurry back to work."

I didn't know if Troy was angry with me. He hung up the phone indifferently.

At noon, I brought the food to his company.

It was said that after five years of hard work, Troy had his own technology company, which wasn't small in terms of scale.

His company was decorated with great styles, just like him.

Upon entering the company, I ran into Monica coming out from inside.

Ex-husband, Please Don't Come Near Me!
