Chapter 1

My boyfriend, who was about to get married, suddenly wanted to break up with me.

Not only did he return all the money I had spent on him, he also knelt down and kowtowed to me, begging me to be well and never see each other again.

I was so sad that I moved to a new place and invited colleagues to warm up the house.

That night, we had a great time talking and having fun.

As a result, the next day, they saw me as if they had seen a ghost and avoided me.

They even resigned collectively and blocked all my contact information.

I returned to my hometown alone, trying to seek the warmth of family.

But unexpectedly, overnight, the puppy I had raised for ten years fell to his death.

My mother, who loved me the most, also had a heart attack and passed away.

After my father took care of my mother’s funeral, he cut my wrist while I was asleep, crying bitterly.

When I was dying, I saw my father kneeling at the head of the bed and stabbing a knife into his own heart.

What sin did I commit to turn me into such an unlucky jinx?

When I see the King of Hell, I must ask him clearly!

However, when I opened my eyes again, I was back to the day when my boyfriend broke up with me.

——

I was sitting on the sofa.

Garth knelt in front of me and kowtowed to me three times.

He was tall and strong, with a bit of domineering personality and even a bit of male chauvinism.

We had been in love for ten years since high school and our relationship was stable.

We just talked about marriage last week and set an auspicious day to get the marriage certificate and hold the wedding.

But today, he wanted to break up with me.

“Why?” I asked indifferently.

In my previous life, I asked madly, crying and hitting him with a pillow.

He was obviously a 1.9-meter-tall strong man who could beat ten of me with one punch, but I scared him to death.

In the end, he didn’t even bother to carry the suitcase and ran away.

This time, I wanted to be calm.

I said, “You can break up, but give me a reason.”

Garth stood up, his face pale.

“I roughly calculated the money you spent on me and rounded it up. It’s all been charged to your card. I made you angry before, please forgive me! From now on, we are the most familiar strangers. We will live our own lives. You will definitely meet someone better!”

After saying that, he bent down and kowtowed to me.

I started to get annoyed!

I kicked him on the shoulder and when he was unstable, I immediately threw him down and rode on him!

“Why?! Last night we were making love, you kissed me, hugged me and called me baby! Today you turned your face against me! What do you mean?!”

Garth’s face was so pale that it couldn’t be described.

The bottom of his eyes was black and the whites of his eyes were bloodshot. He began to scream hoarsely!

“Ahhh, help, help! Please let me go!!”

He behaved too abnormally.

I turned my head and looked behind me. Was there something terrible behind me?

But there was nothing.

Garth was still screaming.

I couldn’t help but raise my hand and slap him!

He still looked at me in horror, then he flipped me over, got up and ran away.

I was quick to hug his thighs.

“Son of a bitch, what are you afraid of? Are you scared I will eat you?”

Garth kept wailing, crying so hard that his nose was flaring.

He kicked and shouted, “Ancestor Aunt” in his mouth.

And I couldn’t subdue him with my little strength and finally let him run away.

With a loud “bang” of the security door, everything was settled.

The suitcase was not taken away again.

I collapsed on the ground, full of doubts.

I opened the suitcase and it was filled with clothes stuffed together.

Chapter 2

It could be seen how panicked he was when he packed.

I went to the bathroom and looked at myself carefully in the mirror.

It was no different from usual.

Garth had been out of contact for three days.

People who could contact him normally, friends, colleagues, his parents, all blocked me as if they had made an appointment.

I was really impressed.

I went directly to Garth’s house.

As a result, I met the real estate agent who was taking a panoramic photo of the house.

I asked, “Where is this family?”

The agent said, “I don’t know, they only entrusted us to sell the house.”

I was shocked and said, “Well, I’ll give you 69.38 dollars and you help me arrange a meeting with this family.”

The agent shook his head. “Impossible, as far as I know, they went abroad yesterday.”

I was even more shocked.

I still found Garth’s company.

The receptionist greeted me with a smile when she saw me.

But when he heard that I was Emily and came as Garth’s dinner partner, the receptionist couldn’t hold back her smile.

“I’m sorry, Miss Stephens, we don’t welcome you.”

I said coldly, “I just came to ask him a few questions.”

“I’m sorry, Miss Stephens. Mr. Greene’s friends specifically told me that if you come to see them, they will definitely not see you.”

“Why? There must be a reason, right?”

“I’m sorry, Miss Stephens, the reason is unknown. I’m just a messenger, please don’t embarrass me.”

Okay, I was leaving.

Back in the car, I hit the steering wheel hard a few times.

In fact, I had a guess: I sleepwalked.

So Garth was scared.

But I had lived for 27 years and never sleepwalked.

And 80% of sleepwalkers had a family history, but my family didn’t have it.

Besides, a sleepwalking, was it enough to scare Garth to go abroad?

Even his colleagues were afraid of me?

His colleagues didn’t sleep with me, what was there to be afraid of?

Since I couldn’t find the answer from Garth.

Then I would break the situation from my colleagues!

Three more days passed.

I was so tired, I had dark circles under my eyes like a giant panda.

I slept through the night, but I was still groggy during the day.

But I still pulled myself together and quickly moved into the new house.

Then, I called a few of my good colleagues to warm up the house.

We ate hot pot and drank some wine.

At ten o’clock in the evening, we were all staggering.

I suggested, “You can sleep at my house tonight.”

Everyone agreed.

According to the development of events in the previous life, they escaped from my house after staying overnight.

So, something must have happened this night.

Eleven o’clock in the evening.

The snoring came one after another.

I was still awake, sitting in the corner of the sofa and texting my mother.

I didn’t dare to go back.

Even though I missed my parents and our dog, Coal Ball.

I was afraid of killing them!

In the series of accidents in the previous life, Garth and my colleagues were at least still alive.

There were only four of us in the family, dying one after another!

So in this life, I must find out the reason behind it before I dared to go back.

Me: [Mom, how are you?]

My mom replied: [I’m fine. I’m happy when I think you’re getting married.]

I was very sad.

I hadn’t told my parents that the marriage was not going to happen.

I couldn’t tell them now, or they would definitely come to ask for clarification.

That night I watched until dawn.

Nothing happened.

I was unwilling to accept it and guessed that the date was wrong.

So I waited until the same day as in the previous life and invited my colleagues to my home again.

Still nothing happened.

The next day, my colleagues treated me as usual.

I was secretly happy in my heart.

Did this mean that the situation had been solved?

Just in case, I waited for two more days.

Everything was still normal.

Now I was finally relieved.

I took a leave to go back to my hometown and met my parents and Coal Ball.

I told them the news of my breakup with Garth.

Although they felt sorry, they thought from another perspective that it was better not to have such a man who suddenly went crazy and lacked a sense of responsibility.

That night, I dragged my parents to chat until late at night.

Wait until dawn.

But I was the only one at home.

I called Coal Ball, but Coal Ball did not come running with its tail wagging.

It was not at home either.

I called my mother and found her mobile phone on the coffee table.

I called my father and my father answered.

I asked, “Dad, did you and my mother go to walk the dog? Come back and buy a roast duck to eat!”

My father choked and said, “I’m in the hospital... Your mother is dead.”
