Chapter 3
My heart went cold as ice.
Just now, not only was I seen naked by male wolves in the distance outside the window, but he even installed a camera in the bathroom to record me.
Deep fear surged from the bottom of my heart, and I could not stop shaking all over. A bone-chilling pain seemed to be slicing me to death.
I could never have believed that Leonard was like this.
He met my gaze and paused for a moment, feeling a bit guilty.
My gaze was overly quiet, as if frozen, while my lips were trembling and pale.
A moment of discomfort flashed across his face, but he said righteously, "What's that look in your eyes? I have already said I'm busy and really cannot take care of you. Is it hard for you to forgive me for a moment? Who let you come back all dirty from outside? Don't you know I have an obsession with cleanliness?"
'Dirty? Then why didn't he mention his obsession with cleanliness when he was fooling around with Serina?' I pondered.
Leonard stopped looking at me and casually threw over a gift bag.
"Didn't you say you liked this? Put it on. You are coming with me to a formal occasion later. Dress decently and don't embarrass me," he said and walked away without looking back.
I stood there, slowly picking up the dress. The moment I unfolded it, I almost scoffed.
It was not a dress; it was practically lingerie. The fabric was so thin that it was almost transparent, completely unsuitable for a formal occasion.
My heart sank. I even found it a little ridiculous that he was so casual in embarrassing me.
I did not want to wear it at all, so I hurried to the wardrobe to find an outfit of my own. However, I found that all my clothes were gone after searching the entire wardrobe. If I did not wear the dress, all I had was this moldy, tattered bath towel to cover myself. It was utterly humiliating.
When I reached the door, I realized Leonard had lied to me. It was not a restaurant; he had led me to the entrance of the market.
"Leonard." I stopped, my tone colder than ever before. "Let me go back!"
Leonard's face instantly turned grim upon hearing my remark.
Serina, dressed to the nines, covered her mouth, and chuckled before saying sweetly, "You're the star of the night, how can you not go? Right, Lydia?"
The undisguised malice in her smile sent a shiver down my spine, almost making me throw up.
His cronies joined in the jeering as they maliciously looked me up.
"Leonard went to great lengths for you. You'd better cooperate and not spoil the fun!"
"Look at the way you're dressed. Aren't you the star of the market?"
"Don't be shy. Everyone's here to admire the good stuff."
These remarks made my head spin. I turned around to leave, but Leonard grabbed me tightly from behind. "You're not going anywhere tonight."
Fear washed over me instantly. I instinctively tried to pull away, but his grip was like an iron clamp; I could not move at all.
I mustered my courage and glared at him. "Leonard, have you forgotten what my father said?"
"I told you to be good..."
Before I could finish speaking, a sharp pain shot through the side of my neck, and I instantly lost consciousness. In my unconscious state, I vaguely heard their conversation echoing in my ears.
"We should have done this sooner. Why waste time talking to her? All that dawdling almost delayed us."
"Ms. Serina's clever. This specially made anesthetic works quickly and leaves no trace, preventing her from making a fuss again."
When I woke up, I was completely bound. Thick, stiff ropes tied me up, and fear almost overwhelmed me.
His cronies surrounded me. I was their prey. A pack of hungry wolves stared maliciously at me, their gazes fixed on me as if they wanted to devour me alive.
Meanwhile, Leonard had already long left with his arm wrapped around Serina's waist.
Chapter 4
I felt weak all over as I tried my best to break free from the restraints on my body, but all I got in return was even more desperate pain.
Just as those male wolves were about to strip me completely naked. In my blurry vision, I saw Leonard slowly turning his head around. At that moment, my heart felt as if it were being clenched tightly.
Deep down in my heart, I hoped that he would at least have a shred of pity for me, and at least he refused to have me completely stripped of my dignity in front of these male wolves. Tears of grievance could not help flowing. I choked back tears, lowering myself to beg him as I had countless times before. "Leonard, please. Don't let them see me naked... Please..."
Despair had imprisoned me in the abyss.
Leonard turned his head around and glanced at me. There seemed to be a hint of tenderness in his eyes, just like when he still loved me back then, which made my heart tremble sharply.
Serina noticed his tenderness and immediately hugged his arm tightly, her voice sickeningly gentle. "Darling, Lydia is deliberately pretending to be pitiful. Don't be fooled by her appearance. Women like her are best at pretending to be weak in front of men to win their pity. When those male wolves were fooling around with her, she never thought of you. You must not forget how she broke us up."
She gently shook Leonard's arm, coquettishly adding, "I'm a little hungry. Didn't you say you had a surprise for me today? Let's not waste time here, okay?"
Leonard lowered his head and tenderly kissed Serina's forehead, his voice full of affection. "You look especially beautiful today."
For some reason, he felt a pang of pain in his heart when he heard my heart-wrenching screams. However, he simply took a deep breath, and everything disappeared.
I continued to plead and scream, refusing to have their filthy hands touch me.
They tore off all my clothes before throwing me into that dreadful cage to be sold as a sex slave.
"Leonard, what have I done that you can't forgive? I tried my best to please you, but you only wanted to listen to Serina. Is everything I do wrong?"
My words struck Leonard's heart like a bullet. He froze, his pupils contracted sharply, and he stood frozen for a moment before suddenly rushing toward me.
My heart skipped a beat, tears welling in my eyes. I thought he had finally had a change of heart and remembered all the good I had done for him over the past five years.
However, what answered me was a resounding slap. The pain numbed half my face. I was completely stunned as blood trickled from the corner of my mouth.
He roughly grabbed my hair, forcing me to look up. Those wolf eyes, once filled with tenderness, now churned with uncontrollable ferocity as if he wanted to devour me alive. "Lydia, stop pretending, okay? When you were seducing those lowly male wolves and when I whipped you, didn't you enjoy it? I'm fulfilling your desires now, so why pretend otherwise? Remember, a lowly she-wolf like you doesn't even deserve to speak Serina's name!"
Leonard ruthlessly tore away my last remaining shred of modesty.
Like a sharp thorn, despair pierced my throat from my stomach. My last remaining hope for Leonard shattered utterly.
He only looked back because I had humiliated his beloved Serina, nothing more.
My heart was so broken that I was numb to feel pain. I even thought I would faint, but anger washed away all my fear. I screamed, "Let me go! Leonard, you heartless bastard! Have you forgotten how you swore to my father you would protect me for life?"
He sneered as he tossed my hair aside with disgust.
The next second, the pack of wolves pounced on me like ravenous predators and tossed me into a cage like an object. They were unperturbed by my screams and cries.
The male wolves leered as their gaze lingered on my naked body.
"Several old Alphas have already made offers."
"We haven't even shown the goods yet, and they're already fighting over her. We're probably going to make a fortune this time!"
The male wolves freely discussed and insulted me, but Leonard frowned, seemingly unable to feel happy.
Seeing Leonard's displeasure, they comforted him.
"What are you afraid of? These old Alphas know their stuff. Lydia is a sex slave at night, but she's still your mate during the day."
"Anyway, she's already rotten to the core. This ending suits her best. What's there to feel guilty about?"
Leonard clicked his tongue and glared at them. "When did I feel guilty? Get lost!"
Serina immediately clung to him, giggling as she wrapped her arms around his arm. "Alright, Darling, don't be angry over this lowly she-wolf. Let's go. Didn't you prepare a surprise for me?"
Before they could leave, Zackrie and a pack of male wolves surrounded them.
The chilling killing intent made all the wolves present afraid to even breathe.
