Chapter 2

I looked at my swollen eyes in the mirror on my dressing table. I had stayed up all night listening to Audrey and William's conversation. They told me about their love journey.

Yesterday I also heard that Audrey was coming with my mom.

William hasn't even told me about it until now. I don't want to meet them. The treatment of my entire family only made me relive the past.

"Kimberly, you are very beautiful, but it would be more beautiful if you wore this necklace," William said, hugging me from behind. He also attached a red pendant necklace.

"Isn't this necklace a limited edition? I don't deserve it, William, you're just wasting money," I replied softly.

Actually, my words were just an excuse. I'm not willing to accept gifts from William, they only make my heart hurt. And if yesterday I didn't hear their conversation, maybe I still believe in William's every sweet treatment now.

"It's okay, you're my wife, Kimberly. I would give anything for you, even my life. Oh yes, your family is waiting downstairs. I'm sorry I was late in telling you they were coming."

William's words were just nonsense. Maybe he would give his life, but not to me but to Audrey.

"Sorry, William. I can't meet them. I have an appointment with my friends today."

I didn't want to see Audrey's intimacy with William. They would definitely make out openly in front of me.

"Cancel your promise, Kimberly! She's your family, forget about the past. Don't keep blaming them," William replied irritably. His gentle gaze now turned cold to me.

I was surprised to hear his tight voice, which made my heart beat fast. "But they and Audrey have ruined me!" I replied irritably and tried to hold back from revealing William's ugliness.

"You can't blame Audrey! She's a victim just like you, you're her sister, Kimberly. Try to think like an adult!"

I looked at William with teary eyes. This was the first time I heard him yell at me. And suddenly William stroked my hair, like he realized his mistake just now.

"Sorry, I just don't want you to be a disobedient child. They're waiting, you can't refuse."

There was no other choice, I couldn't refuse William. I finally decided to meet them. Walking together with William down the stairs one by one. He hugged my waist very tightly.

I could see my mother, who was sitting together with Audrey. I had to smile to welcome them.

I hugged them too, and when I wanted to hug Audrey. My hands were clenched tightly at her words.

"I've come to take your husband, Kimberly," Audrey said near my ear.

I suddenly let go of her hug, and she smiled kindly at me. Suddenly I was surprised to see William, who also hugged Audrey's body tightly.

"It's been a long time since we met. How are you, Audrey?" asked William as he kissed Audrey's cheek, making my eyes round perfectly. My eyes also heated up seeing their intimacy.

"I'm fine, William," replied Audrey, who secretly smiled mockingly at me.

"Oh yeah, you guys can catch up with each other later. I'm in a hurry. I'm actually here to ask you and William to look after Audrey. I'm going to go with your father to work abroad."

"I disagree, Mom. Audrey is an adult. She can protect herself," I refused. I clearly didn't want to open the door for Audrey. It would only make it easier for William and Audrey to have an affair.

"Please, Kimberly, Audrey is innocent and can't take care of herself. She is not like you. William, please give understanding to your wife, I say goodbye. William, I'll leave Audrey to you!" My mom said and left.

What innocent woman would seduce her sister's husband?

Audrey's face disgusted me, so I chose to leave them. I didn't care what they would do.

However, the moment I took a step. William's loud voice stopped me in my tracks.

"Kimberly, please make a drink for Audrey."

I was surprised to hear William giving orders. I'm not a servant in this house. But when I wanted to refuse, William's sharp gaze made me submit.

I finally relented and stepped into the kitchen to get a drink for Audrey.

I returned with a glass of water. I saw Audrey sitting alone on the sofa playing with her cell phone.

"Thank you, sister, you are very considerate. You haven't visited me and Mom in a long time. Is the pain so deep? So you left home and took care of that sickly whore?" replied Audrey with a satisfied smile.

"Watch what you say, Audrey, that whore is your mother," I replied irritably.

I still remembered the pain in my heart when my parents couldn't accept the fact that Audrey and I were switched daughters. I knew how much they loved Audrey so much that it was hard for them to let her go. And they didn't consider me as their biological daughter.

"I don't want to be her daughter. She's your mother, and she's dead anyway. And William is a fool to accept a whore as his wife," Audrey replied with a hearty laugh.

"I'm not a prostitute, I'm just a barmaid!" I retorted.

"Who knew you were serving them too?"

I angrily picked up the glass and splashed Audrey. She really didn't know any better, having taken away my rights as a child of the Morbision family. And now demeaning me.

"Damn it! Apparently you've started to dare to fight me. Look at this red mark on my neck!" she said as she pushed aside her long hair.

I was surprised to see a clear red mark on Audrey's neck.

"Every night William goes to take care of his important work. He works with me on the bed."

My hands were clenched tightly around the glass. Audrey makes me jealous, my heart beats irregularly, and so does my breathing.

My whole body relaxed, and the glass in my hand fell over. It wasn't long before I was surprised to hear William shouting.

Chapter 3

William looked at me sharply. His face was slightly flushed, which surprised me.

"Kimberly, what are you doing?"

I froze looking at William, who looked very angry.

"Never mind, William, it's my fault. I've made Kimberly angry. My past mistakes are unforgivable. But who would want to be in her shoes?"

I was surprised to see Audrey sobbing. While William hugged her to calm her down. While I, as his wife, was ignored.

"I'm sorry, William, I didn't mean to bring up the past. I accept that Kimberly poured water on me."

I looked at Audrey's annoyance, she seemed to be good at acting so as to make William look hateful to me.

"I also accept if Kimberly throws a glass at me, but please don't badmouth Mom."

I was shocked again. Audrey was twisting the facts. She was lying to gain William's sympathy. I clenched my fists. I wanted to pull her hair bald, but I was helpless before William.

"She's lying, I'm not badmouthing Mom," I replied, denying Audrey's words. I had to defend myself, I didn't want to be blamed for what I didn't do.

"Shut up, Kimberly. You talk too much!" William snapped at me, making me shut up.

"Answer me honestly! Did you douse her with water?" asked William with a sharp gaze.

Before answering, I looked at Audrey, who smiled wryly. Because I saw myself being treated harshly by William.

I nodded my head. I answered honestly.

"Did you also throw a glass at him?"

"I didn't throw William's glass, I accidentally dropped it."

"Shut your mouth! Intentionally or not, you did it!"

I kept quiet, it was useless for me to fight and defend myself. William would still defend Audrey.

"Forgive William, Kimberly. I know he's just upset with you. All this is just a misunderstanding, you shouldn't be angry because of his attitude."

My stomach lurched at Audrey's kind words and gesture.

"Bring the medicine box to the room for Audrey!" William said with a flat face. I clutched my shirt tightly as I heard William give another order.

I was even surprised to see William carrying Audrey's body. Even though it wasn't only Audrey who was injured, I was also hit by the glass shards.

Seeing his indifferent attitude made me get evidence. That William really didn't care about me. He didn't look at me anymore.

And when they were about to leave. Audrey, who was in William's arms, pushed my body. Fortunately, I fell on the sofa. If I had fallen on the floor, I don't know how my baby would have fared. I have to take good care of my baby. Audrey's presence in this house is very dangerous for my pregnancy.

I also saw Audrey waving. She even kissed William's cheek to show her victory.

I sat down weakly. It seemed like their relationship had gone very far.

I went to get the medicine box as instructed by William. I didn't want him to get angry again. And make me stressed out thinking about it. I need to keep my body healthy, because I'm currently pregnant.

After taking the medicine box, I came to my and William's room. Seeing Audrey and William sitting on my bed made my heart ache. They were even boldly holding hands with each other.

Seeing them chatting happily without caring about my feelings. With a strong heart, I stepped in, surprising both of them.

"You should have knocked first, Kimberly!" said William, who looked surprised at my arrival.

I didn't answer him. Why would I knock on the door to my own room?

Just as I was about to sit down, William's voice suddenly startled me.

"Kimberly, why are you sitting? Hurry up and treat Audrey's wound!" William said while holding the medicine box.

"No need, William, I can do it myself. I don't want to be a disobedient sister," replied Audrey, who took the medicine box from William's hand.

"It's not like that, I want to make Kimberly a responsible woman!" he replied to Audrey with a gentle look.

Then William looked at me coldly. "Hurry up and do it!"

I was like his pet dog. I obeyed William's orders even though he had hurt me.

I took the medicine box and started to treat Audrey. Just as I was about to touch the wound, I was suddenly startled by Audrey's scream.

"Sorry, you're treating my wound too hard," Audrey said in pain.

I had just taken the cotton swab and hadn't touched the wound. But she was already in so much pain that the sound of her scream made William stand up and slap my cheek.

My cheek felt hot and throbbing. It wasn't just my mind that was hurting, now my body was starting to hurt.

"Slow down, Kimberly. You've gone too far; Audrey is hurting!"

"Sorry."

I catch my breath to keep from crying. I don't want my tears to fall again for a man like William. And Kimberly would cheer triumphantly again.

"Treat it right, I want to go for a while. Don't hurt Audrey again, you're family!"

William's departure made me fall limp. He slapped me in defense of Audrey.

"See who he's defending?" Audrey smiled at my weak look.

"Shut up already, Audrey, my head hurts!" I said irritably.

"I really miss this bed. Do you remember your wedding anniversary party last year?"

I froze listening to Audrey's words that were making me jealous.

"This bed is where we made love, Kimberly. William's sweet gesture is still vividly remembered."

"How he kissed and hugged me. Even this blanket covered both of our bodies," Audrey said, throwing the blanket at my face.

I shed my tears hearing this sad fact.

"Look at the necklace you're wearing, he even asked me before buying it."

William even asked Audrey before giving his gift to me.

"Then remember your nightgown that was your wedding gift back then? I have it too. He bought two on purpose because he wanted to remember my face. You were his wild fantasy, Kimberly!"

Chapter 4

Audrey looked at me with compassion. And her hand came up to gently stroke my hair. Suddenly, I brushed her hand away.

"What a poor life you have!"

Audrey's words were true, my life was unfortunate. I stared hatefully at Audrey, not only did she take away my position, but she also took away my family. She also took William from my life.

"My life is poor, Audrey. So please let William go! You've got everything!" I replied irritably and started crying.

I was indeed my family's heir, but I didn't want to accept their property. I was even planning to change the name of the inheritance and give it to Audrey.

"No, I haven't gotten it all. William isn't my husband yet! I won't let him go!"

Audrey suddenly grabbed my hand and led me into the bathroom. Her attitude was rough, and she gripped my hand tightly. It made me grimace in pain.

"Look at this bathroom! I did it with William too."

I covered my mouth in shock, hearing Audrey's disgusted words describing how they made love.

"Every corner of your house is a witness to our love, Kimberly!" she said, pulling my hand to go outside the bathroom.

"Enough, Audrey, I don't want to hear it!"

Audrey's words made me sick. And suddenly the image of William's sweet words and treatment was just like a knife stabbing my heart.

It didn't stop there. Audrey even pushed my body and opened our wardrobe. She threw William's shirt right in front of me.

"This shirt has been with me the whole time!"

I screamed hysterically, crying while covering my ears. My heart was so broken, I don't know how many times they had made love. For six years they were secretly having a relationship behind my back.

"William always makes me happy. Every touch of his set my whole body on fire. If it wasn't for his request, I might have had many children from William."

"Shut your mouth, Audrey! You're shameless!"

"What am I ashamed of? He's sick of you not being able to give him children. Oh yes, this is the last one!" said Audrey as she walked towards me, who was sitting limply on the bed.

"Remember when you did the treatment for your uterus? I was with him, imagine what he did!" Audrey said again while whispering to me.

She walked away, leaving me crying hysterically. This bitter reality was hard for me to accept.

William loved me so much, but he betrayed me so easily. All his behavior had changed, I remembered the first time I met him. He was the savior of my life. When I was working at the bar as a waitress, he touched my hand gently to walk me out of that dark world.

William was even there when I felt down. He always encouraged me and hugged me.

Now all my sacrifices for him were in vain. I'm a stupid woman for ever donating blood for him. If things end up like this, I'd rather let William die in the hospital.

I recalled that I used to accompany William when he was sick for two years. And I also worked in his place at the company. I had no time to rest. My life was spent just working and taking care of William.

But he easily forgot all my sacrifices. And William was now looking at Audrey as his woman.

I hit the wall hard. Audrey's arrival was like a bomb exploding and destroying my life.

I couldn't be in this house anymore. I had realized there was no place for me by William's side.

I packed all my clothes. But I didn't take all my clothes with me. Some clothes I left behind. And they were all gifts from William.

I was just afraid that everything William gave me was Audrey's choice. I didn't want to wear them. The pendant necklace given by William was already broken, no matter how expensive it was.

Before leaving, I tidied up the room to its original state. I didn't want William to realize my fight with Audrey. I planned to leave quietly from him.

After I had done everything, I walked out of this house. I wanted to live a happy life with my baby. I don't want to make William the father of my child. He's not a good father.

I was already in front of the house. I looked sadly at my house before leaving. The house that I had bought with my hard-earned money. Now I would let it go to William and his mistress.

But suddenly I remembered something, I left the car keys in the room earlier. Reluctantly, I went back in.

When I was near the room, I heard a sound that made my heart beat fast. But I stepped forward bravely.

"This is too ridiculous, William!"

"Shut up, Audrey, or I'll eat you!"

My body froze at the disgusting sight. The sound of lustful whining rang in my ears. I covered my mouth looking at the half-naked bodies of both covered by the blanket.

Audrey's arrival and William's rude behavior today seemed to be planning to get rid of me.

God was showing me their ugliness right before my eyes.

"Oh William, can we not use protection anymore?" said Audrey, complaining very softly.

"Alright, I don't want to use protection anymore either. I love you, Audrey, no one can match the sexiness of your body!" said William and kissed Audrey lustfully.

I decided not to take the car keys. It looked like I was going to take a taxi. There was no way I would go inside and surprise them. Before walking away, I grabbed my cell phone that was in my bag. I held the tightness in my chest as I recorded the vile deeds of the two of them.

William had completely forgotten his promise. And the relationship we had for seven years was now untenable.

"I won't betray you, I only belong to you. Your name is already engraved in my heart."

That promise had seemed like a nightmare to me. William has given me bad memories that I will never forget. I was so disappointed in him. The man I respected all this time disrespected me as his wife. His affair with Audrey was unforgivable.
