Chapter 4

The repeated questioning and framing, Mathilde had truly fed up.

No idea where the strength came from, but she broke free from the man's grasp, pointing at him and yelling. "Edward, who's forcing whom here!"

"You cheated on me, and even tried to use me to have your child, yet you still have the nerve to say I forced you?"

"You can't be so heartless, Edward!"

The man was stunned, not expecting Mathilde to know everything.

A flicker of guilt had just begun to rise in his heart, but shattered by the explicit photos on the big screen.

The audience erupted in commotion, and many men snapped photos with their phones.

On the big screen, Louisa and Edward were in various intimate positions, practically a live sex show.

Even a competitor jokingly remarked. "Mr. Portier, you're thirty this year, and you still have so many tricks up your sleeve. You have such good kidneys."

“That's not about good kidneys — it's good skill.”

On the stage, Louisa held back her tears and asked with the microphone, "Mathilde, we are sisters. Are you really going to ruin me like this?"

In an instant, all the lights on site gathered around her.

A barrage of insults followed one after another.

"Is Mathilde heartless? She even harmed her own sister."

"I heard, she forced Louisa away to be with Edward, but she never even leaves her a way out."

"No wonder Edward cheated on her. She's such a wicked woman, so scary."

Everyone at the scene was saying she was jealous and immature, as if they were convinced she was the one who did it.

Even Edward was convinced it was her.

"Mathilde, just because you knew I replaced your eggs, you had to take revenge like this?"

"You're fucking ruthless!"

Mathilde was at a loss for words. "Edward, you know who I am. If I did it, I'll own up to it. But if I didn't, don't try to pin this on me!”

“Besides, these are your private photos. If it weren't from the two of you, how could I possibly get them?"

“Edward, she staged the whole things herself!”

A flicker of hesitation crossed his face as he considered the weighed on Mathilde's words.

On stage, Louisa interrupted his thoughts once more.

"Mathilde, I know you're going to frame me again. It's fine. After all, I'm just the adopted daughter of the Haagens. I deserve it. I blame my own lowly life."

"Edward, go back and live a good life with Mathilde. Our fate ends here."

Louisa's bold and passionate nature further captivated the men, driving their offers to even more outrageous levels, some even soaring to over fourteen million dollars.

"Seventeen million dollars!"

"Eighteen million dollars!"

Seeing the price rising higher and higher, Edward had no time to pursue Mathilde's responsibility and immediately raised his paddle to bid.

"One hundred fourty million dollars!"

Once he announced his price, no more voices of bidding sounded in the venue.

All eyes were on the couple.

They laughed at Edward for spending a lot of money on another woman, and laughed at Mathilde for failing to keep her own husband's heart.

Edward disregarded everything and expressed his love in front of everyone.

"Louisa, I love you more than anything else. Even if it means losing everything, I won't give you up."

The two were far apart, yet they gazed at each other with deep affection, making Mathilde, the legal wife, appear like a mistress.

Mathilde felt as if she had been slapped on the face from afar.

Just when he thought he had control in his grasp, an auction house staff approached and reminded him.

"Mr. Portier, we have sorted out all the assets under your name and they are still less than one hundred fourty million dollars."

"Would you like to withdraw your bid, or offer something else as collateral?"

Mathilde's pale lips finally moved. "Edward, do you love her that much? That you're willing to hurt me again and again, even to the point of losing everything?"

The man stared at her, his resolute voice echoing in the venue. "Yes, I love her, so I won't withdraw the offer just now. I must take Louisa away today."

She had her face gloomy and sad. She couldn't tell if it was cold sweat from heartbreak or tears.

She, then, pursed her lips and sneered, "Edward, you're out of money. Just accept your fate."

Suddenly, his eyes gleamed with a cold light. "No, I still have something very valuable."

As soon as he finished his words, he pushed Mathilde out.

"My wife is the eldest daughter of the Haagens. She's valuable enough, isn't she? We'll use her as collateral if we don't get enough money from the auction."

Chapter 5

A thunderclap exploded in Mathilde’s mind.

She stared at her husband in disbelief, her blood freezing.

"Are you aware with what you're saying?"

"I'm your wife, Edward."

He retorted sharply. "I don't have a wife as vicious as you!"

"Mathilde, if you hadn't forced Louisa, why would she have thought of auctioning herself off?"

"Since you made a mistake, you should pay the price."

The next second, he shoved her away.

Mathilde tried to struggle, but the auction house staff held her firmly.

Edward went up on stage, held Louisa up in his arms, and as he passed her wife on the way down, he gave her a cold glance.

"I'm taking Louisa with me, as for Mathilde, you can do whatever you want with her."

Mathilde completely broke down. "Edward, you have no right to treat me like this!"

But he ignored her and left with Louisa.

When leaving, Mathilde clearly saw the provocation on her sister's face.

She struggled, but the staff of the auction house took her away.

She felt like a commodity, displayed on stage for others to admire and play with.

In the end, she was bought by an anonymous wealthy businessman for two hundred seventeen million dollars and sent to a penthouse suite.

The maid came in and forcibly helped her change into bunny girl lingerie.

"Ms. Portier, these are all specially prepared by Mr. Portier for you. He said you should learn proper manners here."

Upon hearing the maid's words, Mathilde laughed wildly.

He was the man she once deeply loved, and now, for someone eles, he handed her over with his own hands.

The love in her eyes had completely disappeared, leaving only endless hatred. But reality didn't give her that much time for sadness.

The door of the suite was suddenly pushed open, and a muscular man walked in.

The man's familiar voice made Mathilde freeze.

"Ms. Haagen, we meet again."

Nolan cornered her in the cramped, dim space.

Her heart, already sunk to the lowest depths, felt like dying.

Nolan Lutgenburgh was ruthless. He even betrayed his own brother to seize power.

For someone of his stature to remember her meant he must have discovered something!

She instinctively touched her belly.

No, she couldn't just sit and wait for death!

If the child fell into Nolan's hands, even if she manages to save him, he wouldn't give him to her after he was born.

"Mathilde, you seem to be afraid of me, as if you have done something wrong." Nolan's voice rang out, a half-smile playing on his lips.

With each step he took forward, Mathilde was forced to take a step back, her entire body tense and wary of him.

As soon as the man approached her, she bit his arm hard, drawing blood.

Nolan took a few steps back in pain, and Mathilde seized the opportunity to snatch his clothes and ran out.

Just as she escaped, another man, his assistant, came in and turned on the lights.

"Mr. Lutgenburgh, that crazy woman bit you! You spent two hundred seventeen million dollars to save her, yet she shows such ingratitude!"

"If I had known, you shouldn't have spent that money. It was a waste of your kindness."

Nolan lowered his eyes to the bite wound on his hand, and instead of being angry, he smiled.

"She doesn't need my kindness. Even if the person who comes isn't me, she can save herself."

The assistant, Drake Miller, asked in confusion, “Mr. Lutgenburgh, you must be joking. She's a woman abandoned by her husband. How could she possibly leave without help?”

Nolan pointed to the bitten area and said, "She put a special drug in her mouth. She bit me to get the drug into my bloodstream. If I didn't have multiple antibodies, I would have already passed out now."

His face showed admiration for Mathilde.

"She's very interesting. Go and investigate her. I need all the information on this woman."

After escaping, Mathilde returned to the Portier Family's manor.

Three years ago, the Haagen Family moved overseas.

At that time, she and Edward weren't married yet, and her parents made her leave with them.

At that time, she gave up for Edward.

Now, bullied like this, she doesn't even have anyone to confide in.

But, fine, the three-day deadline was coming up soon.

She would soon be able to leave and return to her real home with her child.

Mathilde was in a disheveled state, and as soon as she entered the house, she saw Edward sitting in the living room.

Their eyes met, and Edward frowned.

He took out the medicine he had prepared in advance and placed it on the table

"Contraceptive pills, take them."

Chapter 6

Mathilde sneered.

So, in the man's heart, she had long been impure.

She ignored him and turned to leave, but he grabbed her, forcibly pried open her lips, and poured the medicine down her throat.

"Mathilde, I won't allow you to carry another man's child."

"Consider this a lesson. If you dare to bully Louisa again, it won't be so easily forgiven."

Mathilde looked extremely nervous.

She was pregnant. She shouldn't take the contraceptive pill!

Before she could spit it out, two servants came up and lifted her upstairs, forcing her into the pool and disinfecting her repeatedly.

Her delicate skin was scrubbed raw, the water tinged with blood.

"Ms. Portier, your husband said you are too dirty tonight and you need to be disinfected."

She already had injuries on her body, and the disinfectant caused her excruciating pain.

She struggled hard and said, "It's not me who's dirty, and it's not me who need to be disinfected. You guys go away!"

Mathilde, with a strength she didn't know she possessed, pushed the two servants away.

She leaned over the sink, desperately trying to induce vomiting, but the contraceptive pill seemed to have already entered her stomach.

No matter how hard she tried, she couldn't bring it up.

Her heart sank. She glanced at the bathtub beside her and immediately sank in.

The two servants went to inform Edward.

Edward was about to get out of Louisa's bed, but she stopped him and said, "Edward, forget it. She should know she was wrong. Just forgive her."

Seeing Louisa's kindness, his disgust towards Mathilde was even greater.

“Louisa, this time she must suffer enough pain so she dares not bully you again.”

“You should rest early. I'll handle the rest.”

As the man left, the kindness on Louisa's face was instantly replaced by mockery.

"Mathilde, I told you, you can't beat me."

Edward went to Mathilde's room and found the bathroom door locked from the inside, with water constantly overflowing from inside.

Suddenly, the man panicked and forcefully slammed open the bathroom door.

What caught the eye was she sinking into the bathtub, her entire face turning white.

Edward jumped in immediately, pulling her out and frantically pressing on her chest.

For the first time, his eyes reddened for her.

"Mathilde, you can't die! Wake up!"

After pressing down for an unknown amount of time, Mathilde finally vomited the water from her chest.

She clutched her chest and coughed relentlessly, finally vomited up the the contraceptive pill!

Although her chest hurt and her eyes stung, she still managed to smile.

Seeing her laughing, Edward grabbed her wrist and coldly questioned her.

"Mathilde, are you crazy?"

She gave no response.

She knew she wasn't crazy, she was just happy because the child was saved.

It didn't matter who Edward loved or protected.

When the time came, she would take the child and fly far away.

Seeing her having no response, Edward felt a little anxious.

In the past, if she suffered any grievances, she would always turn to him for comfort.

But this time, she was actually seeking death, so he was afraid.

He only wanted the four of them to live together; he never imagined she would leave him.

So that night, he didn't leave, but stayed with her the whole night.

He kept promising in Mathilde's ear.

"Mathilde, don't do anything to upset me anymore. Be good, and our family will live a good life together."

"Mathilde, I love Louisa, but I also have feelings for you. When you get pregnant and give birth, I will treat you both the same."

She said nothing, and silently packaged all the evidence she had encountered in these days and sent it to the police station's email.

She was leaving at dawn, but both Edward and Louisa would have to pay the price for their actions.

She was going to sue Edward until he was ruined!

For the whole night, she didn't give him a good face.

The next morning, Edward didn't put a cold face on his buttocks and left.

At noon, Mathilde received a message from the town hall.

[Ms. Haagen, you and Mr. Edward Portier have successfully divorced, and your identity in UK has been successfully cancelled."

Looking at the long-awaited message, her eyes welled up with tears.

She and Edward were finally divorced. From now on, she was simply herself, no longer the Ms. Portier that others called her.

She packed her luggage, left the Portier Family's manor with her suitcase, and got into a taxi.

However, the taxi didn't head to the airport, instead, it took her to another manor even more luxurious than the Portier Family's.

Just as she got off the car, she sensed something was wrong and was about to escape, but a deep male voice came behind her.

"Ms. Haagen, where are you trying to escape with my child?"
