Chapter 2
"What do you mean by saying that?" Ron snapped. Very angry.
"You came to my house, you offered to marry you but now what happened? You act like I'm a useless person," replied Mosa.
"You already knew I didn't like you from the start, I only married you out of pity, what do I need to repeat. If not forcing my mother and father where would I also marry you?"
"So your attitude like this is revenge for me? It's my fault that you can act like this. I'm just an ordinary person," said Mosa.
"I know you are only human, nothing special so why should I like you," said Roni, loudly.
Hearing what Roni said, Mosa's heart ached. She refused to answer again. Because every time she answered Roni's words it hurt more.
Roni then leaves the room annoyed. Mosa just stood there with tears in his eyes that were so heavy.
Wanted her to scream but no one cared about her at the moment. Even her husband could only speak harshly to her.
Until late Roni left the house, Mosa was still cleaning the house. She was confused about what to do, then he opened his laptop to finish his schoolwork.
Mosa tried hard to make assignments, but her anger prevented her from doing anything in front of the laptop.
Then Mosa opened another folder, read a Korean drama title then clicked and watched. She just dispelled the silence, because she was alone without Roni. Until almost midnight, there was the sound of the door opening.
Check.
Mosa rushed out to make sure it was Roni who came.
"You just got home?" asked Mosa.
"You know, still asking," said Roni, curtly.
Roni then went to the bathroom and came out drinking water in the kitchen.
"Want me to make you a drink?" asked Moses.
"No need! I can take care of my own life, you don't have to be so caring," Roni snorted.
Which wife's heart is strong against a husband whose words are always harsh. Hearing what Roni said, Mosa burst into tears again.
"Cry again, you are a teacher but a crybaby!" Ron snapped. "If you keep doing that, I'll be mistaken for beating you."
"Yes, you have hit me with your words. Maybe you didn't hit me. But your harsh words hurt my heart," Mosa replied with sobs.
Slowly she wiped her tears, she went to the bathroom to wash her face. After that he wanted to rest, he saw Roni bringing pillows and blankets to the living room.
"Why are you sleeping there?" asked Moses.
"Don't worry, I'm going to sleep. Tomorrow I want to work," said Roni, then closed his eyes.
Mosa returned to the room, she wanted to sleep. Her heart was tired made Roni all day.
In the morning Mosa woke up, then took a shower to refresh the body. It turned out that Roni had also woken up. He prepared to go to the mosque for the morning prayer.
Mosa is also ready, the key is brought by Mosa because he left last.
On the way to the mosque, there was a neighbor who greeted Mosa, "Wow, newlyweds, it's fresh in the morning," she said, just for pleasantries. Her age is more or less like his mother's.
"Yes, ma'am. Indeed, if you want to go to the mosque, you have to be fresh, you have to do ablution," answered Mosa casually. She did not want to linger she hastened her way to get to the mosque.
Arriving at the mosque, iqamah has resounded. It was heard that Roni became a priest this morning.
Mosa with tears in her eyes listened to the chanting of the holy verse read by Roni.
Mosa was so touched when Roni could recite the holy Koran well, but he never said good to Mosa. Instead, mostly hurt Mosa.
After finishing the prayer, Mosa left the mosque. Previously, they shook hands with other worshipers.
When Mosa got home she opened the door and said hello. But because no one was at home so no one answered his greetings, she was sure that the angels who answered his greetings.
Mosa headed to the kitchen to make a cup of tea and coffee for Roni. Even though she knew Roni wouldn't drink it, at least he still paid attention to Roni.
Not long after Roni entered the house, "Assalamualaikum," he said.
"Waalaikumsalam," replied Mosa, stirring the coffee. "Ron, the coffee is ready," she served a cup of hot coffee that was still steaming.
"No need, I already told you. Did you hear that you were pretending to be deaf? I can make it myself. Don't worry too much!" Roni snorted.
Mosa was ready with those words, then she returned to the kitchen to put down the coffee he had brought. She then reached for the tea she had made herself.
Roni left the room and headed for the kitchen to make his coffee. He did not greet Mosa who was sitting beside him.
Then sip the coffee. He reached into something in his pocket. He took out a hundred thousand and a fifty thousand note. "This is money for you. I'll give you one week. For yourself. I'll eat out. You don't have to bother cooking for me, I can take care of myself."
Mosa did not expect that her husband, who was the distributor of shallots throughout Java, would provide her with such a living. But Mosa didn't want to protest, "Thank you, Ron."
Roni didn't answer, just finished the coffee. After washing the glass, he headed to his room to get ready for work again.
Roni immediately left the house without saying anything to Mosa.
Mosa, who is still on leave, has to stay at home because he doesn't know where to go. She thought he could use the rest of the leave to spend time with Roni. But it was impossible, even Roni left Mosa just like that.
Mosa tried to peek in the window, she saw Roni heading to her parents' house.
Mosa didn't want to find out much. He then cleaned the house. After quite the morning, Mosa thought he wanted to cook something. But suddenly there was a phone call on his cell phone. She hastily opened his cellphone and it was a call from Mina, his mother.
"Assalamualaikum," said Mosa.
"Walaikumsalam, what are you doing?" Mina asked behind the phone.
"Here, just cleaned up, Mom. Want to cook, but don't know what to cook."
"Well, it's your husband's favorite cooking, ask him what he likes to eat. You're good at cooking, your husband must like your cooking," Mina ordered, without knowing what happened to Mosa.
Mosa is confused about what to answer, Roni doesn't know what Roni likes. If you want to cook, you won't eat it later, "Yes, ma'am. Only Mas Roni has left for work so he doesn't have time to cook. He says he wants to eat out."
"Well, how come you're already working. Don't just take Roni off. Where do you think you want to spend your time?" Mina asked, curious.
"Well, his name is a businessman, ma'am. Later, if you take a long vacation, the customers will leave, hehe," replied Mosa, not wanting to corner Roni.
Chapter 3
Mosa's heart seemed to want to scream when Mina was on the phone, but she just wanted to keep Roni's good name in front of Mina.
After all, Mosa and Roni just got married. How about knowing her daughter's wedding was like that.
"That's it then, you're doing well there! Oh yeah, by the way, when do you start school?" Mina asked, just wondering when Mosa would return to teaching.
"Two more days, ma'am. So you still have time at home," replied Mosa, casually. Although he was confused about what she would do while at home.
"Okay then, be healthy there. Take good care of your husband! Assalamualaikum," Mina hung up the phone.
"Walaikumsalam," replied Mosa.
After hanging up the phone, Mosa heard Roni laughing at his father-in-law's house. She was quite jealous, she was never joked about by Roni.
Wanting to cry seemed useless because until now he was just wasting tears without anyone caring.
She took the initiative to make soy sauce chicken. She prepared to head to the market to do some shopping. The distance between the house and the market is not too far, so she only needs to walk.
After taking her wallet Mosa closed and locked the house. Then she went to his mother-in-law's house. There she saw Roni enjoying fried tempes made by Sarni, her mother-in-law.
"Ron, I want to go to the market," said Mosa, saying goodbye.
"Yes," answered Roni flatly, then looked away.
"Mom, do you want to get something?" Mosa asked Sarni, who was sitting next to Roni.
"No, you just go!" replied Sarni.
Then Mosa left the house and headed for the market.
Not far from Mosa's house, a neighbor who is not far from him is greeted. "Mom, where are you going?" She asked.
"Here, I want to go to the market, Ma'am, I'll go first," replied Mosa. SHe then walked away from his neighbor.
Along the way she was greeted by several people who knew she was a newlywed, she was just trying her best to answer. But she didn't want to say much.
Her heart still hurts, feeling Roni's harsh words.
Arriving at the market Mosa went to a place that sells chicken pieces for chicken soy sauce ingredients. Then buy some spices to stock at home. Because she saw that there was no food at home.
Mosa brought some money, she used it to buy some cooking utensils. Although there are but only pans and pans.
Mosa took the initiative to complete it using his money because the 150 thousand money given by Roni was deemed insufficient.
After finishing buying what Mosa needed, she rushed home to immediately start the cooking show.
Mosa was quite objected to the luggage, but she didn't complain. She kept walking until she finally reached the front of the house.
Mosa unlocked then put all the things she bought. She peeked in the window and it seemed Roni had already left for work.
Mosa then went into the kitchen and tidied things up. "So just cook soy sauce chicken," Mosa muttered.
Previously, Mosa had already cooked the rice, so she only needed to cook the side dishes.
Footsteps were heard towards his house, "What do you want to cook?" asked Sarni then sat in front of the kitchen door.
"Here, ma'am. Cook soy sauce chicken," replied Mosa, preparing the ingredients.
"Is it possible?" Sarni quipped. She couldn't believe that his daughter-in-law could cook.
"God willing, you can, Mom. It's just that it's a bit different from your cooking," said Mosa, feeling uncomfortable when she was cooking to be watched like that.
But Mosa tried to calm down even though Sarni was still there.
She started to process his chicken to make soy sauce, but while he was busy cooking, Sarni suddenly commented, "You cook like that, I don't want it!" She snorted. Then leave Mosa.
Mosa was silent, "What's wrong with my cooking?" he muttered.
Mosa confused herself, she didn't know where he went wrong. Even though she used to cook soy sauce chicken as usual.
Mosa didn't care, she just continued to finish cooking his breakfast.
After finishing, Mosa tasted it, "Hmm, God willing, it's delicious."
Then Mosa prepared a serving plate to be placed on the dining table. Then she cleaned up the leftovers and tidied up the kitchen.
Mosa took the plate for his breakfast, "Bismillah."
Mosa enjoyed his breakfast, even though she was alone she could still enjoy it. After all, a healthy body is also an investment for her, if she is sick who will he bother she will be in trouble herself. Moreover, Roni also doesn't care about her, especially if it bothers his in-laws.
Mosa whole day is filled with doing school assignments, although it can be done when she starts working, she has no activities that make him so bored at home.
Roni did not come home, she was still working until sunset.
"Assalamualaikum," Roni greeted.
"Walaikumsalam," said Mosa, she was watching television. Then out to greet Roni.
She tried to grab Roni's hand for a kiss. Instead of Roni giving his hand, he shook Mosa's hand to get away.
Mosa tried to be patient, she just wanted to do good to his husband.
Roni went to the bathroom, and Mosa went to the kitchen to make hot tea. Even though she knew, Roni wouldn't drink it.
"Here, Ron, the tea," said Mosa.
Roni didn't answer, he was tired of being given things she didn't like.
Roni then prepared to go to the mosque to pray in the congregation.
Mosa who was unable to attend congregational prayers, chose to eat because he was already hungry.
Mosa knew, later or now she would eat alone. While waiting for Roni to come home from the mosque, she sat in the living room. Maybe Roni will come home from the mosque soon. But after waiting until Isha, Roni did not come home.
Mosa turned on the television to break the silence.
Until several hours, Roni did not come home. "Where's Roni? Why don't you come home? Are you going to Mother's house?" mumbled Mosa.
Mosa then turned off the television, she moved to the room because he was feeling quite sleepy. Without realizing it Roni entered the house.
Seeing Mosa sleeping, Roni didn't wake her up. There are already pillows and blankets in the living room.
Roni doesn't care, after eating out and spending time with friends now she wants to rest. Because tomorrow he will be out of town to check the supply of red and white onions in the destination city.
In the middle of the night, Mosa woke up, "Is Mas Roni home, huh?"
Mosa then went to the living room and saw Roni was fast asleep. "Thank God he's back," he mumbled.
Mosa then returned to the room to continue sleeping.
"Why do I feel dizzy, huh? That feeling was okay," said Mosa, then held his head.
Mosa then lay down on the bed, Mosa felt her head was spinning and didn't know why.
Chapter 4
Mosa then fell asleep with a headache.
The next day, Mosa was ready to pray at dawn but he felt dizzy again.
Mosa tried to say to Roni, "Ron, my head is dizzy," she said.
"So? Take care of yourself. You are a teacher like that, you can't handle it. I'm busy, my mother said I also have to take care of myself, because my mother can always support me," said Roni.
"I'm dizzy, Ron. I'm just saying this at least you understand or help me do something,"
"Just do it yourself, I want to go to mom's house because there is a need."
"You're going too far, Ron. I know that a boy must always obey his mother..." Mosa didn't finish saying that Roni had cut him off.
"You know, so don't stop me from being filial to my parents. Because without them I'm nothing. You're just dizzy anyway, how come you're sick that's worse. Mom is the best person for me."
Hearing Roni's explanation, Mosa's heart ached quite a bit. She always defended his mother over his wife. Even his wife seemed to be considered by no one.
"I want to go home," Mosa said.
"Oh, you want to go home, please! I didn't forbid it was good. I can continue to focus on my parents. Because your presence here makes me a little sick," said Roni.
Mosa's tears flowed freely, she had thought that Roni would not hinder his intention to go home. But the reason to let Mosa go home made her even more hurt.
"Okay, I want to go home. Maybe not come back. I feel not considered here. I just want to make you happy, even without my presence you think I'm a hindrance to you and your parents."
"Yes, please! The money I gave you is still enough to pay for your return home."
Mosa did not answer Roni's question. She headed to the room to pack his things. Not long after, Mosa left the room and took a backpack.
"I say goodbye, Assalamualaikum," said Mosa.
"Waalaikumsalam, you say goodbye to my parents too!" said Roni.
Mosa then went to his father-in-law's house and said goodbye.
"Where are you going?" asked Sarni.
"I want to go home, Mom," replied Mosa, looking down.
"You just got married, it's just a problem, it's no wonder my son doesn't like you. How come the teacher's thinking is immature. You should be grateful to be married to my son because he already has a house, and he has a lot of income. So what's wrong with the teacher with Roni's salary, he's a businessman, if you go home, just go home! Don't come back. Your kid doesn't know how to profit. Stupid kid, if you know you're like this, it's a shame for the family," Sarni cursed to Mosa.
"Sorry, I just wanted to say goodbye," said Mosa with still tears in his eyes. She did not expect the words that were uttered by her father-in-law, even though so far even in a broken home she was never said like that.
Mosa's heart was broken, Roni just watched without defending his wife in the slightest. Roni is also afraid that his mother will be angry with her.
A moment later Mosa had left, only Sarni and Roni.
"Your wife is just like an uneducated person, you get married and you are embarrassed. Not even as much as your marriage has been left home. You don't follow her, it's better for her to leave and you find another woman who can understand you! Don't be like her. If only your father could prefer good women, surely things will not be like this," said Sarni.
"Yes, ma'am. I also regret that I married her. Father and Mother have been fighting to marry me to her, she is rude," said Roni.
Roni does not realize that the fault lies with him. Even though as a husband, you must be able to maintain the good name of your partner. Moreover, Mosa had his self-esteem dropped in front of him and his mother.
Roni doesn't think about how to be a husband. Even though he often prays in the mosque and participates in religious activities, he does not understand how to treat his wife well.
Roni just keeps hearing what her mother says, whether it's true or not, the role model is that her second mother is her father.
Of course, this is not allowed. Mosa should be comfortable with a husband who can nurture and protect him but instead gets bad treatment.
Roni then relaxes at Sarni's house without thinking about Mosa. He just forgot what happened.
Now Mosa has arrived at his house. Because Mosa and Roni's house is not too far away, it's only enough to take an angkot in a few minutes.
Mosa went straight into the house. At home, it was quite quiet because there was only Mina.
"Assalamualaikum," said Mosa entering the house with tears in his eyes.
"Walaikumsalam," said Mina who was sitting in front of the television. "Why did you come home, son? Crying like this. What are you doing?" She asked.
"I went from there, there I was not considered. I was only scolded, Roni only followed his mother's words. Never once defended me. Even though I was being nice and tried to accept them, they only looked at me with one eye, even since I set foot there. Sorry, Mom, I must have made you sad. I had lied yesterday that I was fine there, even though I was very tormented there. Mas Roni doesn't consider me his wife at all, he only invites me to alk when I ask, that he never invites me to talk," Mosa explained, he was still feeling dizzy but because of the problems he was facing he ignored his dizziness and suddenly he fell unconscious.
Bruges.
"Oh my God, Mosa. Why did it come to this?" Mina then took wind oil and gave it to Mosa in several parts of his body.
Moments later Mosa awoke.
"Thank God, you're awake," said Mina.
Mosa started crying again as if he couldn't forget what had just happened.
"You are patient! You should be here to calm your mind. I felt bad yesterday because I was thinking about you, that's why I called, but you said you were fine. Honestly, I didn't believe it right away, because my feelings can't be lied to even if there are It's a lie. Maybe you're trying to cover it all up from Mom so I don't think about it. But I was once pregnant with you and cared for you until you grew up. My feelings are quite sensitive when your child is in trouble, even though I don't know what the problem is either."
"But rest assured, Mother will always be there for you. Maybe your mother-in-law also feels the same way."
