Chapter 4
LIAM'S POV
I rested my back against the Porsche while I occasionally glanced through my wristwatch. It's already past 6 P.M. but Emily hasn't come out since I stood outside. It's unlike Emily to get this late at dressing up because she has always been quick.
Everything about Emily today has been full of surprises and it makes me wonder if she somehow hit her head against the hard floor during the car accident.
I wasn't even sure if this was Emily's way of paying me back after the fruitless marriage of two years we both had or because of the loveless marriage.
She even accused me of cheating with her sister which was something I couldn't deny because Aysel has been trying everything possible to make me send me green signals.
I will do anything for Emily but not divorce. Divorce is never an option and not having sex with Emily...
No, I won't call it sex.
Making love to Emily is something I will never get tired of. Sex with Emily has always been amazing and it took me a great effort not to kiss Emily in the room back when she was ogling at my body in the mirror.
I pulled my phone into my pocket, waiting. The man who delivered a parcel to Emily already left and it makes me wonder what is taking her so long.
The thought of Emily escaping through the window only to run away from me scared the hell out of me. In a twinkle of an eye, I made my way to the door only to stop when the door was suddenly pulled open and a breathtaking Emily came out in a silver dress.
I was stunned, speechless and blood seemed to rush to my third leg because I suddenly became hard.
“You thought I ran away?" Emily asked as soon as she got to where I was.
My eyes seem to remain glued to Emily's body. The silver dress she wore accentuated her hips and curves in the right places. The upper part of the dress was carved in such a way that half of Emily's breasts were bouncing, fighting for dominance to be free from their restraint.
I looked at the dress, which stopped at her feet. A black high heels adorned her legs. The dress had a slit which stopped in the middle of her thighs.
No! Emily is never the type to wear makeup or dress too revealing like this, so what changed?
“You said we are in a hurry. We should go, Liam," Emily said and left,t, only to settle in the front seat.
I was lost for words and I was stunned to my bones to see Emily's new side. What happened?
What did I miss? I got into the driver's seat and pulled out of the penthouse.
Emily pulled out her phone and took some pictures inside the car. Even when I tried to feature inside, Emily pushed the phone away so that the camera wouldn't capture my face.
She stopped taking pictures and went to her W******p to check some messages. The nerve of this woman to act as if I wasn't here with her in the car. A notification came from the phone.
I pulled out my phone and drove with one hand, only to see that Emily had posted the pictures she had taken on I*******m.
But the caption was what caught my attention.
**I'M NOT WAITING FOR ANYONE TO COMPLETE ME, I'M ALREADY A WHOLE**
”What?" I scoffed in my mind only to scroll to see the comments. Emily sure has a lot of fans because she is also a comic book writer.
The girls were complimenting her beauty and some asked her why she doesn't wear makeup before.
I turned off the phone and looked ahead of me. Emily was even giggling beside me as she replied to some people on her W******p.
God! I want to take that phone away from her hand and push her to the back seat for hot sex to let her remember who she belongs to.
My knuckles were on the verge of turning white because of the way I gripped the steering wheel, but Emily was having a nice time chatting.
I drove to the hall at the speed of light and stopped at where the cars were parked. I got out of the car, ready to open the car door for Emily.
Meanwhile, Emily had already gotten out of the car, looking ravishing in her silver dress. The sun was already about to set but that didn't hide Emily's beauty.
My gaze fell on Emily's back, and it took me a minute to get the fact that I was staring at Emily's bareback. The tattoo in the middle of her back defined her thin back sexually.
I am the only one allowed to see that. That stunning beautiful tattoo.
I would have thrown Emily a coat just to cover herself but not until I saw my father working towards us. Maybe not us but they just got to the hall like everyone.
”What are you waiting for Liam? We need to get inside and..."
“Woah. You look breathtaking in this dress, Emily," I said, cutting Emily off.
Emily seemed surprised by my sudden outburst, but I didn't want her to ask me why. I have never complimented Emily's dress, not even on our wedding day.
I don't love Emily but her body is not something a mortal man could resist. My father was already getting closer to us, and the paparazzi seemed to have sensed our presence.
I need to do what I am best at, which is pretending to be a dotting husband. Emily seemed to be occupied with understanding the situation. Before she could ask me what was wrong, I drawled Emily by her waist only to slam her back against the car door in a twinkle of an eye.
”What are you doin..."
Whatever question Emily was going to ask got swallowed when I slam my lips over hers. Her eyes widened in shock as she pressed her two hands against my chest to push me away but I didn't stop.
Emily is a wild vixen. She is a seductress. My very own seductress because she is irresistible. I'm sure she is going to slap me, but I'm addicted to Emily's lips, and it scared me.
”Mhm" Emily uttered in between the kiss but that sounded like a pleasant moan in my ears and blood rushed to my dick.
I am addicted to her
I am under Emily's spell.
I am utterly enamored with Emily, and I don't think I can stop, fuck!
Chapter 5
EMILY'S POV
The time seemed to stop the moment Liam crashed his lips over mine. Maybe I was hallucinating but I wasn't sure either if this was an illusion. Though it felt so real.
His mint smell enveloped me, throwing me into a whirlwind of emotions while my heart pounded loudly against my ribcage.
Goosebumps spread across my exposed skin, and I shivered against his tall frame. His free hand rested on my waist and I felt so small, so powerless and fragile against Liam's chest.
Liam would never kiss me. He never did except when we were having sex, but what changed? I shook the stupid thought that filled my head, almost making my head fuzzy away. I pressed my hand on his chest, trying to push him away but Liam didn't bulge.
Who am I kidding? Liam has spent most of his leisure time in the gym. There was nothing he was not good at, even the kissing part.
My hormones took charge, and I moaned into the kiss like molten magma. The sound that escaped my lips scared me because Liam suddenly wrapped his hand against my bare back.
If only he could push me closer because there was no fucking space between us.
“Is that not Mr. Nolan? Young couples these days..." A voice rang in the open space which belongs to a woman. She was probably making her way into the hall.
“You can't blame them, Martha. We were once like that" I heard a male voice, and only then was I aware of whatever was going on.
The words faded away which made me flutter my eyelids open with reflex. I bit Liam on his lips, gaining a groan from him.
I didn't bite him hard to draw out blood, but enough to let him know that he should stop whatever games he was playing right now because he had already taken the spotlight.
Liam stepped away from me, and I felt the breeze blow towards me the moment his warm, calloused hand dropped from my back. The warmth I felt just now disappeared. I was back to the same lonely me but things are in stark contrast to each other now.
My eyes fell on his lips before moving to his lips, only then did I see the emotions that appeared in his eyes. Just like they appeared, they vanished quickly like a freckle of dust.
I was a mess, breathing hard through my parted lips. I felt like a young high school girl, but the moment I remembered how I suffered from Liam's hand, a bitter smile graced my lips.
I looked around, only to see the paparazzi swarm towards us. This was just a game, after all, but why am I getting worked up? Maybe it was because, in my past life, Liam didn't kiss me when we came for my sister's birthday in my past life.
Then I must have forgotten that the old me will never dress like this. Could Liam be in love with me or just attracted to my body?
What was I thinking?
Did I possibly think that Liam would kiss me so roughly, if not because of the paparazzi and reporters that were present at the venue?
“You need to show them your brightest smile, Emily," Liam said, breaking through my thoughts and I shivered silently, gritting my teeth in silent anger.
If looks could kill. Liam will be six feet under the ground right now.
“I don't want you messing up; father is here," Liam added in a cold tone.
He cleaned the corner of his lips with the handkerchief and tucked it inside his side pocket.
“You should give me a heads up next time if you want to try something like this again, Liam. I don't like surprises," I said defiantly in a low whisper before clasping my hand in his.
Liam drew me to his side the moment my palm touched his. We fit so perfectly on each other's sides, and it makes me nauseous.
“You should know I like surprises, Emily, just like the way you suddenly asked for a divorce today," Liam said and clicked his tongue in distaste.
I raised my head only to see a smirk spread across his face. Before I could reply, Liam had already parted his full pink lips.
“Seeing you flustered just like now. For a moment, I thought you were falling for me." Liam said with sarcasm before setting his lips into a thin line.
What was wrong with him? He was trying to get me riled up but the Liam I know would never act like this. He is never the type to joke about things like this.
I wanted to question him. I wanted to ask Liam why he was doing that but he smiled at me, reminding me to do the same. I clenched my hand, eyes shooting daggers at him before a smile spread across my lips.
We turned to face the paparazzi and reporters and that was when I heard the familiar voice.
“I know it's you, son. Emily dear"
I didn't have to turn to know it was Liam's father. I bowed and raised my head while Liam stood arrogantly beside me.
“She is so pretty," I heard the guest say as they made their way into the hall.
“Is Mrs. Nolan so pretty like that?" A girl squealed.
“For a moment I thought it was another woman."
" "
“Father," I said with the prettiest smile on my face, ignoring the people's comments.
The paparazzi were pushed back by the security and their footsteps echoed in the tiled floor.
Liam's father only shook his head before coming to my side. He gave me a light pat on my shoulder, not sparing Liam a look.
“Emily, you look breathtaking today." Liam's father praised me and I was flattered because this was the same line Liam used for me before kissing me against the car.
At least, it's good they have things in common.
“Thank you, Father," I replied vehemently and I felt someone scoffed beside me.
Someone is in a bad mood, and I know it's no other person but Liam.
“I guess that was why Liam couldn't resist you. I mean, which able man would dare resist my beautiful daughter-in-law?" Liam's father added in a serious tone.
I laughed wholeheartedly while patting my chest against the clothes.
“You flattered me, father but I think Liam was too impatient. I can't believe he kissed me right here in front of everyone," I replied sheepishly, tucking some strands of hair against my ear.
Liam jerked our entwined hands away which made me raise my head in confusion. I parted my lips and tried to say something but Liam cut me off.
“Meet me inside, Emily."
