Chapter 2

Georgia and I stood side by side in front of Clara.

She said, "Mom, Talia got admitted with great difficulty. How can I go to college in her place?"

Her pitiful look and red eyes broke Clara's heart.

Georgia choosing to study technology instead of acting would be a loss for the film and television industry.

"Honey, it's okay, Talia will make your wish come true. We have been protecting you so well since your childhood. How can I watch you being bullied for not being from a good university when you enter society?" She looked at Georgia lovingly. What a scene of a loving mother and a filial daughter.

"Talia, look how considerate Georgia is. Why can't you think about your family?"

She accused me of not being good enough for my family.

I had suffered once in my previous life, and this time, I would not let them control me again!

"Mom, you misunderstand me. I have always been thinking about our family. Georgia, you can be me and enter that university with my admitted letter," said I.

Clara looked at my sincere eyes and was surprised that I agreed so quickly.

But she didn't say anything but patted my head, praising me for finally becoming so considerate of Georgia.

"Well, from tomorrow on, you will be Georgia, and you are Talia." Clara pointed at both of us and smiled contentedly.

I thought, "Grab this rare chance very carefully, Georgia."

Chapter 3

"Talia, I'm so sorry. You worked so hard to be admitted into that university. But in the end, I can go there without any effort." After Clara left, Georgia stopped pretending to be a good girl and sneered with a vicious expression.

"Georgia, your acting skills really astonish me. I think you can even get an Oscar Prize," I said.

In my previous life, I knew that Georgia was very good at pretending.

When in school, she was a typical kind of mean girl who bullied others with the boys from the rugby team.

At the same time, she also looked down on nerds like me. But now, her most desirable thing was the admitted letter of a nerd.

But in front of adults, she switched her disguise to be a considerate good girl.

Since I was a child, unlike Georgia, who spent all her time at parties and bars, I had been absorbed in learning and reading in my room.

The neighbors all liked the talkative and cute Georgia but regarded me wearing thick glasses as a plain nerd. So, they preferred my sister.

As the gossipy neighbors kept judging Georgia and me with different standards, they enhanced Clara's biased impression of us.

Most of them stopped learning after they finished high school and knew nothing about the preciousness of knowledge. Of course, they wouldn't understand the smartness was the genuine beauty.

"Tsk, look, no matter what, Clara always favors me. You're just jealous!" She snatched the admission letter from me and stuffed hers into my hand.

But she didn't know I had been totally disappointed with Clara. In my previous life, after forgiving her over and over again, the only thing I could receive from her next time was still betrayal.

She was Georgia's mother, not mine.

Maybe Georgia had no idea that she now looked like an arrogant chicken.

Looking at her swaggering away, I sneered at her in my heart.

In my previous life, no one knew how many nights I had stayed up to get the chance to learn with the best brains in this country.

Maybe Clara knew about it, but she robbed it for Georgia regardless of my strenuous work.

In the past, after school, I looked through the window and saw the heartwarming scene of a woman teaching her daughter to read under the warm yellow light. I had fantasized about it countless times, but it never came true.

I knew Clara would do the same thing; she would just do it with me.

I called her mom only because of our biological connection.

And in this life, I would watch them walk the same path I walked in my previous life and taste the pain of losing everything.

Chapter 4

In order to prevent the school from discerning our plan, we did a thorough exchange, even changing rooms.

Clara said, "You should dress and behave like your sister. Oh, remember to copy her daily habits..."

Clara was afraid of the slightest mistake of this plan and paved a smooth path for her baby daughter to embrace a brighter future than what she was supposed to have.

"Mom, but I don't want to wear Talia's clothes," Georgia looked at Clara with watery eyes and begged her artificially.

Clara said, "Georgia, this is all for your own good. People have already had a stereotype of you two, and a sudden change will make them suspicious. Be nice, okay? When you successfully enter university, you can slowly change back to your old self. Remember to slowly develop a new image so that people won't..."

When dealing with Georgia, Clara would be so considerate that she even wanted to do everything for her.

Georgia curled her lips and had to agree.

I opened her closet and was overwhelmed by the variety of clothes.

In comparison, there were very few clothes in mine. What was inside was just a few sets of black or white casual clothes, and the rest were all school uniforms.

Georgia picked up a tedious hoodie from my closet with two fingers and looked at me with disgust.

She said, "Talia, your taste of clothes is really bad. Do you know how long these clothes have been out of style?"

She bought all her fancy clothes with my living expenses, happily going shopping with Clara, and I had to do a part-time job at midnight to survive when she and Clara were having fun together.

After finishing the job in the early morning, I still had to study, not missing every second to enrich my knowledge.

The money I made from my part-time job could merely afford the tuition, and the rest was all for food and traffic. I couldn't spare a penny to get new clothes.

Every teenage girl would die to make themselves look nice, but I never had the chance to do that.

"Well, Georgia, you still look gorgeous in a trash bag," I said.

My words disgusted her, and she taunted my clothes and room with eyes rather than words.

I saw her pick up my old yellowed bed sheet and sniff it with her delicate nose. Then, her face wrinkled, and she waved her hands, as if to dispel the disgusting body odor that she was stained by the original owner of the bed sheet.

She threw my sheet and blanket into the washing machine.

"Mom, can you wash them, please? They smell awful!" she said.

Secretly, I clenched my fists.

Soon, I wouldn't allow her to be so arrogant anymore.
