Chapter 4
After a few moments of calming myself down, I began to look at Albert with teary eyes. I ventured to ask the question that had been weighing on my heart all this time.
"Albert, do you still remember what agreement we agreed to before we got married?"
Indeed, before the wedding, we made an agreement; we had promised each other that if one of us fell in love with someone else, then the other would ask for one thing, namely to say it honestly. We agreed to leave gracefully. However, if one of us betrayed the other, then there was no turning back; we would completely disappear from each other's lives, and the betrayed party could not look for the victimized party for any reason.
"Yes, I still remember it." Albert nodded his head. "Is there something wrong that I have done that you are jealous of?"
Albert looked at me seriously, but I just adopted a stoic silence.
"Honey, in my heart, there is only one of you," Albert paused his sentence. "Summon all the women I've interacted with over the past month!" he continued, giving orders to the guards outside my room.
As Albert began to stand, the man looked at each of the women before us with a serious gaze. With an Alpha tone, he began to give orders. "Tell my wife how you interacted with me recently. I want you to tell her in as much detail as possible!"
"Can you ask that jerk to make up some bullshit drama, Rose? I'm sick of it," Zoe said in my mind, and this time, I agreed with her, too.
"Let it go, we'll see what other games he wants to play," I retorted in a disdainful tone because I already had other plans in my head.
Now, one by one, the omegas began to tell me about their interactions with Albert.
"Luna, I had my last interaction last night with Alpha, Alpha told me to prepare all the supplements for Luna's health."
"Luna, Alpha last time asked me to get Luna's favorite white roses from the garden and arrange them for her."
"Alpha called me last night in a panic when Luna was seen sleeping in a restless state. Alpha asked me to call for a doctor as soon as possible.
"This morning, Alpha went to the kitchen to ask the kitchen to prepare her favourite meal, Luna."
Each omega recounted their encounters with Albert in detail. Even the omegas did not hide their admiration for Albert for being a standby husband.
After a while, it was Clara's turn. The woman stroked her stomach and looked at me with a smile. "I had my last interaction with Alpha when I visited Luna yesterday, Luna can rest assured that in Alpha's heart, there is only Luna."
Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Clara mocking me. Her words did sound flattering, but I realized that she was currently being sarcastic to me.
I dry-heaved at Clara's words, and I waved my hand for the women to leave my room.
Albert now looked calm; he felt he had proven his innocence, and I was just blindly jealous. The man now walked back to my bed.
Albert took my hand gently. He looked into my eyes seriously. "Darling, my Luna... I am only able to love you one, there will be no other woman who can possess my heart. You are the only one I have ever loved and you are my soulmate."
"Yeah," I replied briefly, not caring if she wanted to say anything else. Not forgetting to pull my hand back, I also ignored the disappointment in his eyes because of my cold demeanour just now.
"Are you free today?" I asked quickly to drive him away.
My question stimulated his memory. He looked at me with an apologetic look. "Honey, I just remembered that tonight I have to discuss important business with Alpha Brush."
"Haven't you forgotten that it's a full moon night?" I interrupted quickly. It should be on this full moon night that we had sex to make our strength stronger, and Albert should know better than anyone that full moon nights mean a lot to Luna, like me.
"I know, but I'm sorry. I tried to get Alpha Brush to switch to another day, but she wouldn't. I have to do this for the safety of our Pack," I explained quickly.
Albert's answer made me sneer. "Go away."
I realized that there was no longer any reason for me to hold back and get honesty from a jerk like him.
"I'm really sorry, and I promise that after I finish everything quickly, I will go straight home and also I will continue to activate my mind-link connection. If you feel anything, don't hesitate to contact me. Even if you miss me, just say so. I would love to hear it."
Albert's words sounded very sincere and full of affection, without any pretence in them.
I, who was already uncomfortable, just nodded my head briefly, "Go and take good care of yourself."
For a moment, I saw a glimpse of guilt in his eyes.
Not long after, he looked back at me, "By the Moon Goddess, I'm not willing to part with you even for a second, the longing is excruciating when I'm away from you." he said reluctantly.
She began to breathe slowly, "When this matter is over and your health starts to improve, let's adopt a child. I will raise him to be the best Alpha and after that we can travel anywhere we want just the two of us."
Had I not known that tonight he would marry Clara, I would have been deeply touched by all his sweet words.
In the end, Albert now had to leave, and before he did, he kissed me on the forehead and left our room reluctantly.
After making sure he left, I quickly got up from my bed. I immediately called several omegas that I trusted to clean up all my belongings and take them to Safir Pack, where my family lived.
While everyone was busy cleaning up, I went to Albert's office. I quickly signed the divorce papers I had prepared on his desk. I placed the divorce papers in the most conspicuous place so that when Albert entered his office, he could immediately see them.
Without looking back, in the same place, I began to remove Albert's mind-link connection with me. I also gave up all my duties as a Luna, and after everything was done, I immediately took out a very precious teleportation stone.
With the teleportation stone, I instantly disappeared and left Jade Pack just like that after severing all the connections I had there.
Chapter 5
It only took a few minutes for me to get to where I wanted to be.
I stared tiredly at my back, even though there was only a forest, and I had deliberately chosen a hidden forest to teleport to so that later, no one could track where I was.
I smiled sarcastically. Now, at last, I could escape that stuffy place, completely free from the suffering I endured in Jade Pack.
“What are you waiting for, Rose? Let’s hurry to the city. We have to catch the departure of that ship so we can get to the capital before nightfall.” Zoe’s words made my reverie instantly break.
“Goodbye, Albert,” I said before I continued my journey, and now I felt like all the weight on my chest had disappeared.
I had managed to leave Albert forever and now, after a few hours, I finally arrived at the port where the ship could take me to the capital, where I could live my new life.
Fortunately, I reached the capital before midnight. I chose a hotel that I had researched online and spent the rest of the night there.
Meanwhile, in another city in a very dark forest, Albert stood in the middle of the elders. The two were to have their wedding this evening.
Just before midnight struck, Albert did not forget to contact the doctor he had left at the castle so that he could relieve his worries about Rose’s condition one last time.
“Since Alpha left, Luna has been resting in her room. We’ve made sure that no one will disturb her rest. The next time Luna wakes up, I will contact Alpha immediately.” The doctor’s reassuring words made Albert sigh with relief.
It was only after he was sure that his wife was fine that Albert stepped into the place where the wedding ceremony would be held.
“Are you sure, Albert? We don’t want to forbid you, given that Clara is already pregnant with the Jade Pack heir, but this marriage will leave your wife very hurt.” One of the elders gave Albert a stern look because they did need an heir to become the heir of the Jade Pack, but they all also knew that hurting Rose’s heart could be bad for their Pack in the future.
The question asked by the elders made Albert feel a dilemma. Now he began to think again whether the actions he took were correct or not.
“Alpha, feel, it looks like our child is happy about this marriage!” Clara quickly took Albert’s hand to place it on her stomach before Albert began to doubt their marriage.
“What is your answer, Albert?” asked the elder again because the full moon was coming soon.
“I’m going ahead with this marriage, and I’ve thought things through,” Albert replied with some hesitation. He felt happy with his son’s kick in Clara’s stomach, but in a way, he began to feel the doubts in his heart beginning to eat away at his trust.
While Clara, who had made sure Albert would not run away from the wedding ritual that night, smiled faintly, she looked at the elders with confidence because she was sure she could become a greater Luna than Rose.
But unbeknownst to Clara, Albert’s mind was now back in chaos. The man’s mind was again preoccupied with Rose. Especially when he fell asleep on the plane earlier. He had a nightmare that he was checking her out, and he agreed. Rose left after the woman gave her the divorce papers she had signed.
The nightmare made Albert wake up from his sleep, after the plane landed safely, he immediately called the doctor to ask how Rose was and the doctor said that Rose was still asleep and that made him feel a little calmer.
However, unfortunately, now he felt uneasy again; the anxiety returned to terrorize him stronger than ever.
“Do you accept Clara as your second wife, Alpha Albert?” The question asked by the elders when the wedding ceremony began made his focus suddenly begin to waver.
“Do you accept Clara as your second wife, Alpha Albert?” the elder asked for the second time, but unfortunately, Albert did not listen to the elder’s words at all because, at this time, his mind was only on Rose.
“Alpha,” Clara tried to make Albert realize. Albert, who had just woken from his reverie, immediately looked at Clara with a cold stare.
After staring at Clara, Albert’s head was now filled with the image of Rose’s face looking at him with disappointment.
“Alpha, what’s wrong with you?” asked Clara again while trying to reach Albert’s hand, but Albert quickly brushed Clara’s hand away.
After that, the man quickly ran out of the forest, and Clara and the elders were there.
“Alpha Albert, where are you going? The ceremony is not finished yet, and the full moon is coming soon!” shouted the elders, but Albert did not care.
Albert continued to run out of the forest regardless of everyone’s shouts calling him, and now Albert began to feel guilty.
A little too late, Albert finally realized how much Rose meant to him. So how could he betray his woman like this and instead marry another woman as his second wife?
“Rose, I realize, wait for me!” he whispered in his heart.
Albert quickly took out the teleportation stone he kept in his pocket. Now he had arrived in front of his castle.
With pounding steps, the man ran straight to his room. He couldn’t wait to see the face of the wife he loved so much.
Albert breathed a sigh of relief when he opened the door to see Rose’s body lying covered by a blanket and with quick steps, he started walking towards his wife’s bed.
With a smile on his face, he lifted the blanket. “Honey, I’m back.”
But unfortunately, there was no answer at all; Albert felt a little strange, and he quickly opened the blanket covering his wife’s body.
“Where is my wife?” shouted Albert in surprise. He only found a pillow under the blanket, and the pillow seemed to be deliberately made like a person who was fast asleep.
“Where are you, darling?” shouted Albert again, even more frantically. “Where are you, baby? I’m home!” he shouted over and over in a trembling voice.
The room was very empty, and the feeling of despair began to gnaw at him. Albert, who did not run out of ideas, began to contact Rose with his mind link.
But unfortunately his mind-link did not connect at all, and Albert realized that it seemed Rose had blocked him.
“Honey, where are you? Please answer me!” Albert continued to try to contact Rose through the mind link, but just like before, he could not connect at all.
In the midst of panic and despair, Albert did not run out of ideas. The man tried to contact Rose in other ways.
“The number you dialed is not available. Please check the number correctly!”
Prank…
The mobile phone that Albert had in his hand now just dropped after realizing that Rose might have blocked his number.
