Chapter 2
When I opened my eyes, the morning sun was already greeting me. I felt like something was missing in me. I began to remember Zoe's words that they had taken my child from my stomach yesterday.
I quickly checked my stomach, which now had several stitches neatly arranged there; I felt that besides losing my child, I also lost something precious from myself.
"You fool Rose, you couldn't maintain your consciousness and they used that to inject that disgusting concoction and congratulations now you are completely barren because our ovaries are completely frozen and can never be fertilized!"
Zoe's words in my mind made me burst into tears just like that. Now I understood what I had lost. I was completely empty, and now there was no child that I could give birth to from this womb.
My world had completely collapsed. I was just crying hysterically because this feeling was so bad. I really hoped that what I was experiencing right now was just a dream.
"Honey don't cry like that, last night you fainted and the doctors found that the wound you got from Rogue's attack yesterday was infected and that's also what made the doctors have to operate," Albert explained quickly.
I wanted to interrupt his lies immediately, but Albert was faster than me. The man quickly gave me a report containing all the explanations that matched his words.
If I hadn't heard the whole truth yesterday, I probably would have believed all the nonsense he said today.
"And I just wanted to tell you some bad news. Now we can't have children anymore because your womb was apparently injured in the attack and our hopes are completely dashed but you don't worry, we can adopt a child-" Albert continued to clarify all the emptiness I felt due to his actions.
"Stop your nonsense, Albert!" I shouted directly. The wound in my heart was really gaping, making me feel very desperate.
I couldn't control my anger anymore. Albert had really driven me crazy with all the bad scenarios he created to keep hurting me.
"Honey, I know you're angry, but Hun, don't be like this!" Albert hugged me tightly, but I tried to push him away, but my strength was so weak that in the end, I could only cry numbly in his arms that were very tight to my chest.
"The witches have done their best, and they say the scar will say soon," he comforted me. I continued to cry because my heart had been torn apart by all the betrayals and lies he had told me.
I might have believed all her sweet explanations if I didn't know the truth, but unfortunately, I already knew everything. Every word now felt like a knife that kept plunging into my chest. Albert's lies hurt me deeply.
"I know this is hard for you dear, but it's much harder for me. I can't lose you. I was really confused last night and I decided that I will always choose you because without you I can't live and if you are really sad, I don't mind if we adopt a child and I make sure that child only thinks of you as his or her own." Albert said sweetly to me in a tired tone as if he didn't want to do all that either, but I knew what he was doing now to comfort me was just a lie that made me hate him even more.
I was unable to answer Albert's words, but suddenly, someone walked in and broke the silence created between me and Albert.
"Excuse me Luna and Alpha, I'm here to discuss work with Alpha." Clara spoke in a polite tone, looking at me as if she was now mocking my misfortune.
Clara also brought me a bouquet of flowers.
"Have manners been lost here?" I said sarcastically. My blood naturally flowed at the sight of the pregnant woman.
At first, I sympathized with Clara; she said that her mate had died as a result of being attacked by Rogue, and she could only keep the fetus in memory of her soulmate. Unfortunately, it was all clear now: there was no mate, she said, but she deliberately kept the child so that she could become Luna in this Jade Pack, and as a woman, of course, I understood her bad intentions.
"Honey, what's wrong with you?" Albert immediately looked at me with a confused look because I had always been gentle with everyone.
"I'm not talking to you, Alpha Albert, but I just want to talk to your subordinates who don't know their manners. How can other people just walk into our room without knocking? Or maybe now Alpha has changed the rules so that everyone can enter any room in this castle as they please?" I said, looking straight at Clara, and Albert looked even more confused.
Clara, whom I was criticizing without pausing, the woman lowered her head. I could clearly see how seductive her clothes were now, and I understood why Albert could betray me like that.
"I'm sorry Luna, I didn't mean to-"
"You shut up! I didn't ask you to speak!" I shouted while bringing out my aura as a Luna, which made Clara kneel down.
Seeing what I was doing, Albert hugged me and calmed me down. "Honey what's wrong with you? And Clara quickly apologize and tell me what you want to do now," Albert was not confused because I had never shown him this attitude before.
"I'm sorry, Luna, I've gone too far. I promise this won't happen next time, and I'm here because Alpha has important business to take care of," Clara spoke while shedding her tears, making Albert, who was beside me, just stare at Clara flatly and indifferently.
"Clara let's get up, it's not good for you to kneel like that. Your womb could do something," Albert said in a flat tone, making me feel even more disgusted by the whole dramatic scene.
"Ta-but Alpha, I'm guilty." Clara began to cry.
Albert didn't say anything and just kept looking at me with a very indulgent gaze.
"Alright, I'll forgive you this time." I was forced to say that sentence because I didn't want the two traitors to suspect that I already knew something about them.
"I want to rest, you guys be quiet!" I immediately turned my body towards the other direction. My feelings were really messed up, but I just wanted to control myself better.
I thought the harsh reprimand I had just given Clara would make her come out, but it seemed that the woman didn't want to budge from my room.
Albert was massaging my back gently, while Clara seemed to be quietly sitting quietly on a chair not far from Albert. The scene this time was like a very harmonious family.
I deliberately kept my breathing regular so that neither of them would realize that I was pretending to be asleep.
With my strength, I could feel that Clara was starting to tease Albert. She started to kick gently at Albert's legs and rubbed her feet against his legs.
Albert did not stop what Clara was doing to him, and I began to feel that Albert was starting to be affected by the temptation. I also increasingly felt that Clara was trying to walk closer to Albert because the woman's perfume wafted more and more clearly.
"Alpha, I can't stand it," said Clara, hugging Albern from behind; the woman even dared to kiss Albert hotly, and Albern also served the woman.
I was disgusted to hear Clara start to let out a disgusting moan. I also found out the two were kissing very hotly this time; Zoe, who was inside me, screamed loudly. My she-wolf raged brutally, but I tried to restrain it. My tears also began to flow as I sensed that, this time, my husband was starting to enjoy the bitch's hot play in our room.
I couldn't stand it, so I immediately turned over; the friction of my body against the bed made a slight noise that finally surprised the two people and made them stop.
I felt Albert start to approach me; the man started to check whether I was really asleep or not, and after he was sure I was really asleep, the bastard pulled Clara's hand out of my room.
"Are you going to let them go any further?" asked Zoe in an angry tone.
"You take it easy, Zoe, I have a plan. I'm not going to be a stupid woman and endure this pain alone, I'll make sure both of them feel what I feel right now." I began to swear in my heart that I was tired; I couldn't take this any further. However, I didn't want to give in so easily.
"Then what do you do now? Go out and collect evidence of their affair," Zoe said impatiently to me.
"Has the pain made you stupid Zoe? You forget that every inch of this castle has CCTV and I'm the security part of the CCTV." I quickly took out my cell phone to access Albert's current whereabouts.
Some might wonder why I didn't just track Albert's whereabouts through telepathy. But I didn't want to do that because if I did, Albert would realize that I had been pretending to be asleep.
The CCTV started playing on my phone. I now see Albert grabbing Clara by the neck. "Why did you seduce me in front of Rose? Didn't I say that Rose shouldn't know about our relationship?" Albert said while hissing at Clara.
The intimidated Clara didn't look the least bit scared. "I just miss you Alpha, do you know that your son is very fussy? He misses his father a lot and also don't you want to do a fun game, your wife is also asleep and I already ah-"
Before Albert could reply, Clara quickly got back on her tiptoes so that she could press her lips to Albert's again.
Chapter 3
What Clara did made Albert pause for a moment, but the next second, he was leading the game, and I felt sick watching him.
"Albert, please slow down, our baby will get hurt," Clara said in a breathless tone.
"Shut up! Enjoy it, I know my limits."
For whatever reason, when I couldn't look at the CCTV anymore, my heart really broke into pieces, and everything was now very clear. There was no doubt whatsoever in my heart now that the facts I had gotten reflected all my curiosities.
My tears continued to flow profusely. "Moon goddess, is he the same person who loved me the most? Is he the same person who would do anything to make me smile at him?" I paused to look at our wedding photo on the wall.
"Moon goddess, please tell me the truth. Why did he turn into such a disgusting man? Moon goddess, please give me an answer. Is he really my husband?" I continued to cry, wondering what role fate was actually playing in my life.
The husband I trusted so much, as well as the man who previously vowed to only love me in this life, has now silently shared his heart with another woman behind my back.
The pain was like a disembodied dagger piercing through my chest, slowly but surely. This betrayal was like a black wave that rolled my body to its bottom.
I cried so hard that, in the end, my weakened body made me just pass out.
When I woke up the next day, I was a little surprised to see Clara already in my room.
The girl looked at me with a look of contempt. There was no respect in her eyes. "Are you awake, my dear Luna?" she said in a scornful tone.
I just silently stared at her.
"Why the silence Luna? I think you know what I did last night, ah Alpha spoiled me so much. In fact he loves me so much and you know what, this is proof of our love," she said frankly while stroking her bulging belly in front of me.
"How long have you been together?" I asked with trembling hands, my eyes looking deeply into hers.
Clara laughed at my question. "Let's guess Luna, or I'll tell you a little grille." Clara looked very happy because she felt she had won over me.
However, unlike her wishes, I just kept quiet while continuing to stare at her.
"You're so boring Luna," he replied with a sneer.
"I've been with him since a year ago and did you know that me and Alpha fell in love at first sight right on the night of your birthday. On the same day, Alpha also spent a wonderful night with me. However, when he returned, he felt sorry for you and to make up for the guilt, he deliberately left all his assets to you. All of him's assets should have belonged to me and my son, not you!"
I clenched my fists tightly, currently trying to restrain myself from killing him immediately.
Seeing me restrain myself, Clara laughed even more arrogantly. She adds. "You think he really loves you? You're wrong, Luna! Every night he runs into my room when you're fast asleep. Even since I got pregnant, he's been spending more and more time with me and all those out-of-town work excuses he told you were lies because in fact he was just accompanying me on vacation there. The romantic gestures he's made over the past year are just to cover up his guilt towards you."
My heart ached even more hearing all these truths, and I began to realize that my husband had been deceiving me for a year, and I didn't realize it.
"One more thing," she continued. "During the night of the rogue's attack, he was not discussing business with the other Alpha, but he was just spending his beautiful night with me and I suggest that if you are smart, you better divorce him right now and return your position to me because I am the one who deserves to be Luna Jade Pack!"
The truth that I heard hit my chest so hard it felt like I couldn't breathe.
I also thought back to that night; the pain from the rogue's attack made me almost die, especially when the rogue stabbed my stomach, and blood flowed profusely from my injured body. I almost died from blood loss, and all that happened was because I prepared a beautiful party to celebrate Albert's birthday.
I tried to contact Albert through the mind link, but he cut off our connection, so in the end, I fell into a coma because I couldn't take it anymore.
When I woke up from my coma, I saw Albert immediately crying and hugging me; he felt so guilty. He swore that if he wasn't discussing business with the other Alpha, he wouldn't have closed our telepathic connection. Albert knelt down and slapped himself to apologize to me as he regretted not being able to save me.
But the truth was, just as I was about to enter the gates of death, he was having fun with another woman.
My last hope had been completely destroyed. My heart was out of shape, and he had succeeded in making me lifeless.
On the other hand, Clara, noticing my change, certainly felt like the final boss that she had become. Now, she put her hands on my hips and looked at me with a compassionate gaze. "I just wanted to let you know that tomorrow is a full moon, and Albert will make sure that the elders approve our marriage. I hope you'll attend!"
Having said all she wanted, Clara walked out of my room with a triumphant air. Her head was held high, and a smile was etched on her face.
After making sure she was really gone, I clutched my tight chest. "You're cruel, Albert!" I muttered under my breath before the darkness enveloped me again, and it wasn't long before I passed out again.
When I opened my eyes, the day had changed. My gaze fell on Albert, who had bloodshot eyes; apparently, he was guarding me.
Before I could open my mouth to ask, Albert suddenly pulled me into his arms. His voice sounded hoarse as if he were holding back his emotions.
"You're finally awake, Honey. You almost cost me my life last night," he said, happy to see me open my eyes.
I was not happy now; the memory of last night made me immediately push Albert's body away; I felt disgusted with him.
"I looked at him coldly. "I'm fine, don't overdo it!"
My rejection left Albert in shock. There was a glimpse of pain in his eyes.
Chapter 4
After a few moments of calming myself down, I began to look at Albert with teary eyes. I ventured to ask the question that had been weighing on my heart all this time.
"Albert, do you still remember what agreement we agreed to before we got married?"
Indeed, before the wedding, we made an agreement; we had promised each other that if one of us fell in love with someone else, then the other would ask for one thing, namely to say it honestly. We agreed to leave gracefully. However, if one of us betrayed the other, then there was no turning back; we would completely disappear from each other's lives, and the betrayed party could not look for the victimized party for any reason.
"Yes, I still remember it." Albert nodded his head. "Is there something wrong that I have done that you are jealous of?"
Albert looked at me seriously, but I just adopted a stoic silence.
"Honey, in my heart, there is only one of you," Albert paused his sentence. "Summon all the women I've interacted with over the past month!" he continued, giving orders to the guards outside my room.
As Albert began to stand, the man looked at each of the women before us with a serious gaze. With an Alpha tone, he began to give orders. "Tell my wife how you interacted with me recently. I want you to tell her in as much detail as possible!"
"Can you ask that jerk to make up some bullshit drama, Rose? I'm sick of it," Zoe said in my mind, and this time, I agreed with her, too.
"Let it go, we'll see what other games he wants to play," I retorted in a disdainful tone because I already had other plans in my head.
Now, one by one, the omegas began to tell me about their interactions with Albert.
"Luna, I had my last interaction last night with Alpha, Alpha told me to prepare all the supplements for Luna's health."
"Luna, Alpha last time asked me to get Luna's favorite white roses from the garden and arrange them for her."
"Alpha called me last night in a panic when Luna was seen sleeping in a restless state. Alpha asked me to call for a doctor as soon as possible.
"This morning, Alpha went to the kitchen to ask the kitchen to prepare her favourite meal, Luna."
Each omega recounted their encounters with Albert in detail. Even the omegas did not hide their admiration for Albert for being a standby husband.
After a while, it was Clara's turn. The woman stroked her stomach and looked at me with a smile. "I had my last interaction with Alpha when I visited Luna yesterday, Luna can rest assured that in Alpha's heart, there is only Luna."
Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Clara mocking me. Her words did sound flattering, but I realized that she was currently being sarcastic to me.
I dry-heaved at Clara's words, and I waved my hand for the women to leave my room.
Albert now looked calm; he felt he had proven his innocence, and I was just blindly jealous. The man now walked back to my bed.
Albert took my hand gently. He looked into my eyes seriously. "Darling, my Luna... I am only able to love you one, there will be no other woman who can possess my heart. You are the only one I have ever loved and you are my soulmate."
"Yeah," I replied briefly, not caring if she wanted to say anything else. Not forgetting to pull my hand back, I also ignored the disappointment in his eyes because of my cold demeanour just now.
"Are you free today?" I asked quickly to drive him away.
My question stimulated his memory. He looked at me with an apologetic look. "Honey, I just remembered that tonight I have to discuss important business with Alpha Brush."
"Haven't you forgotten that it's a full moon night?" I interrupted quickly. It should be on this full moon night that we had sex to make our strength stronger, and Albert should know better than anyone that full moon nights mean a lot to Luna, like me.
"I know, but I'm sorry. I tried to get Alpha Brush to switch to another day, but she wouldn't. I have to do this for the safety of our Pack," I explained quickly.
Albert's answer made me sneer. "Go away."
I realized that there was no longer any reason for me to hold back and get honesty from a jerk like him.
"I'm really sorry, and I promise that after I finish everything quickly, I will go straight home and also I will continue to activate my mind-link connection. If you feel anything, don't hesitate to contact me. Even if you miss me, just say so. I would love to hear it."
Albert's words sounded very sincere and full of affection, without any pretence in them.
I, who was already uncomfortable, just nodded my head briefly, "Go and take good care of yourself."
For a moment, I saw a glimpse of guilt in his eyes.
Not long after, he looked back at me, "By the Moon Goddess, I'm not willing to part with you even for a second, the longing is excruciating when I'm away from you." he said reluctantly.
She began to breathe slowly, "When this matter is over and your health starts to improve, let's adopt a child. I will raise him to be the best Alpha and after that we can travel anywhere we want just the two of us."
Had I not known that tonight he would marry Clara, I would have been deeply touched by all his sweet words.
In the end, Albert now had to leave, and before he did, he kissed me on the forehead and left our room reluctantly.
After making sure he left, I quickly got up from my bed. I immediately called several omegas that I trusted to clean up all my belongings and take them to Safir Pack, where my family lived.
While everyone was busy cleaning up, I went to Albert's office. I quickly signed the divorce papers I had prepared on his desk. I placed the divorce papers in the most conspicuous place so that when Albert entered his office, he could immediately see them.
Without looking back, in the same place, I began to remove Albert's mind-link connection with me. I also gave up all my duties as a Luna, and after everything was done, I immediately took out a very precious teleportation stone.
With the teleportation stone, I instantly disappeared and left Jade Pack just like that after severing all the connections I had there.
