Chapter 3
"Mr. Kaleb, here is your coffee."
I handed a cup of coffee to Mr. Kaleb.
Then I handed another cup of coffee to Lisa, who was playing cards.
However, I didn't know why she did it on purpose or by accident.
She spilled my coffee.
Crash.
The hot coffee flowed all over her body.
"Oh my, why are you doing!"
Lisa stood up and hurriedly patted the hot coffee on her body.
Everyone was also attracted by this scene.
Leslie also followed.
"What's going on?"
Leslie came to Lisa's side, with a concerned look, and asked, "Are you okay?"
"I...I'm fine."
"Oh, my, I just bought this new dress, it cost several thousand."
"My legs are all red from the burn."
Lisa looked at Leslie with a face full of grievances, then looked at me with a face full of resentment.
Leslie immediately turned around angrily and looked at me.
He shouted at me angrily, "Kate, how old are you? Why are you so clumsy? Are you doing this on purpose? Are you deliberately embarrassing my guests?"
Before I could speak, Lisa pulled Leslie and said, "Don't blame Kate, she didn't do it on purpose. It's my own carelessness."
Looking at Lisa's poor acting skills.
I smiled inwardly.
Playing both sides, huh?
However, Leslie loved it.
He gave me a cold stare and said, "What are you still standing there for? Hurry up and support Lisa. Go upstairs and find some clothes for her to change into!"
Lisa came up to me and said, "I'm sorry, Kate. I've caused you trouble."
"It's okay, go upstairs. There are some clothes that I haven't worn yet. They should fit you well."
Lisa and I hadn't walked far.
I heard Leslie complaining about me to his friends behind me.
One of the bald men in his fifties said, "Leslie, I think your wife doesn't look well. Is she sick?"
"Mr. Kaleb, you're overthinking. She has always been like this," Leslie said carelessly.
"If you have time, it's better to go to the hospital and have a check-up."
Mr. Kaleb reminded again.
Leslie waved his hand happily and said, "Thank you for your concern, Mr. Kaleb. Don't worry about her, let's play cards."
I heard the sound.
Lisa heard it too.
There was no one around, and she looked at me provocatively and said, "You are Leslie's wife, but he doesn't care about you at all."
I finally saw this woman clearly with her provocative tone.
Her scheming was really deep.
She behaves generously in front of others.
But behind their backs, she was a different person.
However, it was this kind of woman who was inconsistent in words and deeds that had successfully grasped Leslie.
Leslie was really different from other women.
In the past, there had been many women around Leslie, but most of them only lasted for one or two months, or even just a few days.
Only Lisa, she had been with Leslie for a whole year.
And Leslie was also very attentive to her.
He accompanied her for meals, movies, and shopping.
He even bought a villa just for her.
I looked at her and didn't say anything.
Taking her upstairs.
When we arrived upstairs, Lisa said again, "If Leslie heard that I was sick, he would drop everything and take me to the hospital. He would never be so indifferent, still able to play cards with a clear conscience, and would never make me so tired!"
I looked at her and smiled, "Really?"
Seeing that I finally responded, Lisa looked proud and said, "He said that I am his everything."
"I thought he was just fooling around with me, but now that I see how he treats you, I understand that he truly cares about me and loves me."
Of course, I knew that Lisa was deliberately provoking me.
Because no matter what, she couldn't escape the title of the other woman.
I smiled at her and asked gently, "Yes, he is considerate and gentle towards you, giving you everything you want. But I just can't understand, if you are so important to him, how can he bear to let you be just the other woman?"
Although Lisa was outstanding.
Being the other woman was indeed a hurdle she couldn't get over.
She was indeed angry.
She looked at me with uncontrollable emotions and shouted, "You are the third party, you are the one who is unnecessary!"
"If it weren't for you, Leslie would have belonged to me long ago!"
"You, this ugly and old woman, I have disliked you for a long time!"
Emotionally out of control, Lisa pushed me suddenly.
I didn't expect that she would take action.
I lost balance and rolled down the stairs.
And Lisa was immediately panicked.
I didn't know what she was thinking, maybe she was afraid of being blamed by Leslie, she actually chose to self-harm, and she also rolled down the stairs without any pity for herself.
After rolling down the stairs, I was in excruciating pain all over my body.
Lisa was also screaming in pain.
The guests were attracted and rushed over.
Leslie, who was playing cards outside, also heard the sound.
He rushed in.
Between me and Lisa, he came to me for the first time and asked, "Are you okay?"
"Fine."
I barely stood up.
Seeing me standing up, Leslie no longer cared about me and immediately went to Lisa's side, asking with a concerned look, "Where are you injured? Let me see."
Leslie choose to care about Lisa.
I tried to keep calm.
I wouldn't get angry.
Because I wanted to live a few more days.
Be angry for Leslie and this third party?
They didn't deserve it!
Chapter 4
Lisa immediately leaned in Leslie's arms and cried, "Leslie, I... I'm fine too."
"But, but I just can't figure it out."
"I didn't say anything to Kate just now upstairs, she suddenly got angry and pushed me downstairs."
"I... I'm not afraid of death, but I'm afraid I'll never see you again..."
Lisa cried with extreme grievance.
She performed the trick of shifting blame to the other party to the fullest.
Guests around me looked at me with strange eyes one by one.
And this time, Leslie didn't care about me but didn't say anything about me either.
He stroked Lisa's back and said softly, "It's good that you're fine. Be good, don't cry, or I will feel heartbroken."
Lisa looked at me proudly, then continued to hide in Leslie's arms and cry.
Seeing this woman so cunning.
I wasn't angry.
Instead, I laughed.
She didn't understand Leslie at all.
She was just a pawn used by Leslie.
And Leslie's only purpose in using this pawn was to target me!
I looked at Leslie through the pain and said, "I can't cook today. You'll have to figure out how to entertain your friends on your own."
After I finish speaking, I plan to go upstairs.
"Stop!"
Leslie stopped me, he sneered at me, with a hint of inexplicable light in his eyes, and said, "You can leave, you don't have to cook. But don't you think you were very rude today? You owe Miss Lisa an apology!"
"I apologize?"
I look towards Leslie.
I really didn't expect him to make me apologize to Lisa.
From his eyes, it was obvious that he did not completely trust what Lisa said.
But he chose to turn the tables and made me apologize to the third party in front of everyone.
Lisa, hiding in the embrace of Leslie, also had a triumphant smile on her face at this moment, as if declaring her victory to me.
But she was wrong, she would never win...
