Chapter 2

It made me feel very embarrassed.

Victoria asked me with tears in her eyes: "Alexander, tell me! Why did you have an affair?"

I laughed at myself and replied, "You know it in your heart."

"Is it because I can't satisfy you normally? But that cabinet of sexy lingerie was bought just for you! What else do you want?"

Victoria cried even harder, almost screaming in despair.

She had just finished speaking.

Countless murderous gazes were focused on me.

They were all very angry.

"Sister Victoria, this bastard is truly hopeless. I will definitely help you vent your anger today."

Chase first wiped Victoria's tears, then picked up a branch on the ground and hit me hard.

"Damn scumbag!"

Again and again.

I was beaten so badly that my whole body was covered in blood.

The whole audience cheered.

Victoria's Lancaster family members are all shouting for more efforts and not to let me off easily.

But she stopped Chase and said, "Alexander, we have been together for ten years. It has not been easy along the way."

"As long as you admit your mistake and publicly promise to change, I will give you a chance."

Everyone lamented that Victoria was too kind, saying that it was like a flower stuck in cow dung.

"Admit your mistake?"

My back teeth clattered. "Victoria, does this look like the day our daughter Daisy died?"

Victoria's pupils constricted when she heard this and asked, "Have you recovered your memory?"

Seeing her surprised.

I asked again, "It was a 40-degree hot day, and Daisy was surrounded and criticized by countless people."

"Not only did your favored intern, Chase, not only did he not help, he even locked Daisy in a dog cage to teach her a lesson."

"Do you know how hard Daisy cried?"

Victoria clenched her fists, pursed her lips, and whispered back, "Chase didn't mean it."

Hearing her words, a few tears of blood rolled down my eyes.

"Victoria! Daisy is your biological daughter! How could you be so heartless?"

"Daisy couldn't even drink a sip of water that day. Her face was peeling from the sun, and her lips were cracked and bleeding."

"Don't you feel heartbroken when you see how she died?"

I complained loudly.

Victoria was trembling all over, and Chase beside her also looked nervous.

The residents of the community all looked at them with strange expressions.

"My own daughter was killed by one of my interns, and as a mother, she actually kept him by her side. Is she crazy?"

"There's probably an affair."

"No wonder the man cheated on his wife in revenge. He must have been heartbroken."

besides.

Mrs. Lancaster also stared at Victoria and asked, "Didn't you say Daisy's death was an accident?"

"Chase, what's going on?"

Mr. Lancaster glared at Chase, waiting for an explanation.

"It's all my fault..."

Chase slapped himself and sobbed in mock remorse, "I took Daisy out to play that day. I just went to buy some water, and before I knew it, she was gone."

"Later I learned that she had broken into a bakery to steal bread and was caught by the supermarket owner, thrown into a cage and placed on the roof as punishment."

"During that time, Victoria was busy with surgery. I sent messages and called Alexander, but no one answered."

"I'm sorry, I didn't look after Daisy well. Damn it!"

After he said that, he slapped himself madly again.

"Okay, stop hitting yourself."

Victoria was heartbroken and rushed forward to stop it.

"I didn't receive any calls or messages from you that day. You killed my daughter..."

I haven't finished speaking yet.

Victoria turned around and slapped me, angrily saying, "How many times have I told you this? Chase has nothing to do with this! It's the supermarket owner who did this, and he's already wanted."

Chapter 3

"Besides, if you hadn't abused Daisy and not given her food, would she have stolen the bread?"

I was suddenly stunned.

"As a mother, don't you know your own daughter? Is she really capable of stealing?"

"Don't you know how much Daisy clings to me?"

Victoria is usually busy with work and has to perform multiple surgeries every day, so I decided to resign from the hospital to take care of Daisy.

If Daisy didn't have enough to eat and enough clothes to wear, she would have been malnourished long ago.

What's more, Daisy is well-behaved and sensible, and she would never steal bread even if she starved to death!

Victoria remained silent.

Chase beside him said indignantly: "Alexander, stop quibbling!"

"I went to the kindergarten to investigate, and the teacher said Daisy had fainted a few times, and each time she would just eat something and drink something and she would be fine."

"There's surveillance video as evidence!"

After he finished speaking, he took out his cell phone and played the video on the spot.

The teacher is playing games with the children.

Daisy suddenly fainted.

"I have dozens of videos like this! Alexander, what else do you have to say?"

Chase said coldly.

"You son of a bitch, you don't even give Daisy food to eat. Is there any father like you?"

"My poor granddaughter must have been starving, so she stole the bread. It's all your fault, irresponsible father."

Mr. & Mrs. Lancaster rushed over to me, crying and beating me.

The relatives followed suit.

The surrounding residents just clapped their hands again, wishing they could all rush over and strangle me to death on the spot.

Victoria looked at me and said disappointedly, "Chase didn't expose it because of me."

"But what about you? You turned evil on me and actually framed Chase!"

"Killing Daisy wasn't enough, you want to kill Chase too? When did you become so vicious?"

Listen to her righteous questioning.

I smiled bitterly with tears in my eyes and said, “Victoria, some things are not necessarily true just because you see them with your own eyes.”

"If I said Daisy had hypoglycemia, would you believe me?"

Victoria was stunned for a moment.

Chase sneered, "Alexander, are you trying to use this to say you didn't cheat? What Victoria saw was all an illusion?"

"You are a piece of shit for exploiting your own deceased daughter!"

He said this.

Victoria was furious: "Alexander, I'm not only Daisy's mother, I'm also a doctor."

"How could I not know if she has hypoglycemia?"

"Don't try to confuse right and wrong and excuse your own infidelity!"

Mr. & Mrs. Lancaster and others called me a beast.

Amidst the endless abuse, I stared at Victoria and shouted, "I never cheated! It was you and Chase who framed me!"

"fart!"

Chase immediately retorted, "You've been caught red-handed and are still denying it. You have no shame at all!"

"If you keep talking nonsense, I'll smash your mouth."

Mr. Lancaster took off his leather shoes and smashed them hard on my mouth.

He beat me so hard that blood came out of my mouth.

However, my attitude remained unchanged, and I said coldly, "I will be able to prove my innocence later, but it's different for some people."

I stared at Chase and Victoria, my eyes filled with hatred.

“That’s enough!”

"Do you really think that people will believe your empty words? Are you treating us like three-year-old children?"

Victoria put one hand on her waist and said angrily, "I'm leaving this out!"

"When will you admit your mistake today? Then I'll let you go. Otherwise, you'll just stay here basking in the sun!"

I said nothing.

The people around here all say that I am stubborn and a jerk to the extreme.

Degree weather.

I was under the scorching sun, like a kebab, burning from the outside to the inside.
