I moaned softly enjoying my sleeping posture. I felt a hand wrapped around my waist making my eyes snap open. I was in an unfamiliar room, where was I?.

I tried all my best to pry the hand off me. The event of what transpired last night came rushing back to me. I had a one-night stand for the first time in my life. I could still feel the pain in between my legs.

A blush crept up my face. Last night was heavens, I've never done this with any man before. Zion was so gentle with me. I had thought he'll be rough but he proved me wrong. Gosh, what is this man doing to me ?.

I was still naked from under the duvet. I sat upright gently not wishing to wake him up, Zion groan a little when he felt my absence but he didn't wake up. He looks peaceful when he sleeps. I stared at his beautiful face sadly. This will be the last time we'll meet. I need to run off before he wakes up.

I got down from the bed and went to clean myself up in the bathroom. I was so fast about it just so he won't wake up and still find me here. I wouldn't want him to see my bed hair ,guys like him will never date someone like me. I know this is a one-time thing for him so it's better I don't fall too deep for him.

I put on my clothes and held my heels in my hand. I tiptoed out of the room, closing the door gently behind me. I let out a sigh when I finally got outside.

The hallway was clear of people. I wonder where Stella slept last night. Did she look for me at all? I went down the stairs before dialing her number. She wasn't picking her calls. I groaned annoyed. She drove me here and how did she expect me to go home? I have no cash with me.

She better not ditch me, she won't hear the end of it. I could still see a few people sprawled on the floor of the room. They must have had enough to drink last night.

I rolled my eyes when some couples were making out in the open. Who does that for crying out loud? Some secrecy would have been better. I made my way out of the room.

I checked my wristwatch and couldn't be more surprised to see that it's a few minutes to my work time. I'm going to be late and my boss won't let me have the end of it.

I hail a Uber after informing him that I'll make a transfer to him and he agreed. Some Uber men prefer cash to transfer.

A few minutes later I was home. I'm certain i look like a lost puppy right now. My heels made a sound as I moved but who cares ,I was home finally.

I rang the doorbell, mom opened it in seconds.

" What happened to your keys?"

Yes, guys don't be surprised, that was the first thing my mom greeted me with. She didn't even ask after my movement. Some mom she is.

" Really mom?" I raised a brow as I went inside, trailing behind her. I pushed the door behind me.

She chuckled " What ?"

" You didn't even show some act of concern"

She went into the kitchen but I still followed her " you are now an adult Ella, I don't need to always control your movement. I know the kind of daughter I have so why should I bother "

" Is that all you can say? " So much for this woman

" Yes that's all I've to say and by the way, I'm expected some gist. I know a lot happened judging by the hickey around your neck" she wiggled her brows.

" Mom! "

" What? " She said acting as if she didn't know what she did " am I not allowed to know? "

" Some mom you are"

" Some daughter you are too," she said with a smirk " come tell me please. I've been waiting for this day"

I let out a sigh and rolled my eyes at her " you are insufferable"

" But you love me like that " she winked. " Come have your sit dear," she said patting the seat beside her. I groaned but still ended up sitting beside her.

I unhooked my heels and kept them beside me. I never knew I'd last wearing those heels. " What do you want to know ?"

" Everything" she beamed.

I let out a sigh then my mind went back to that moments. is he looking for me? Or is her smiling after achieving what he wanted from me? Am I one of his many nightstands or am I the first?

So many thoughts kept swirling in my head. I need to find out his reaction when he didn't find me beside me. Does he feel exactly how I feel for him? is he happy that I left before he wakes up?

I felt bad knowing that, that will be the last time something like that will happen between up. Funny enough I don't regret giving him my virginity. I feel good knowing that he took it but why?

" Ella?"

I was cut off by my mom. I turned to be " huh?"

" Are you okay?" She asked with a concerned look on her face.

" Yes, why?"

" I asked you a question but your mind seems elsewhere. Are you sure you are ok? "

I nodded " yeah I am"

She let out a sigh and right then I knew her parenting mood was activated. She held my hand " I don't have to know the full details of what happened last night. That is your secret and I will understand. All I need to hear from you is, did you enjoy yourself last night? Are you happy that you went out? Or did you finally find the one? "

I smiled a little " I'm happy I went out last night. I'm really happy "

She beamed " that's good to hear them. Did you meet anyone? "

Judging from the blush on my cheeks, I knew her question was answered " awwww. I'm so happy for you dear"

" I'm happy too," I said but only I could hear it.

Zion

" Take this away!" I yelled at the maid. She took the coffee and ran off. I knew that wasn't called for but who cares? I'm the alpha and they must obey me.

I tried to control my anger but found it hard to do. I was so mad, really mad and angry at her. She left without saying goodbye or something. Does what happened last night mean nothing to her? Was I just one of her puppets?

The nerves she has to just flew like that. Alex knew something was off but didn't say anything. He's been staring at me for a while now.

I glared at him when I caught him staring again " What?! What are you looking at ?"

He raised his hands in surrender " nothing "

" Fuck off man"

" Look Zion I don't know what happened to you but please you need to tone down the anger in you," he said.

I glared hard at him " you don't get to tell me what to do! You have no right to tell me what to do! "

He scoffed " I won't sit here and hear you yell at me all day. I should leave maybe when you get yourself together you'll finally calm down "

I closed my eyes tightly realizing I shouldn't have shouted at him that way. He doesn't even know what happened to me.

" Wait!"

He paused " what is it again?"

" I'm sorry"

Alex rolled his eyes " say it as you mean it"

" Really?"

He shrugged " either that or I leave "

" Ok fine, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have shouted at you like that "

" Good" he came back and sat on the chair opposite to mine " what happened to you big boss ?"

I let out a frustrated sigh and finally sat down back " it's nothing "

" This is nothing, I'm sure it's something. What made you or rather who made you angry? "

I couldn't hold it in any longer " I found her Alex. I've found my mate "

Alex's eyes almost bulged out of their socket " are you kidding me ?"

" Of course not I'm not, " I told him

" She rejected you? "

" Yes and no"

He furrowed his brows confused " I don't quite understand you "

" She is human"

" What?! "

" Imagine my surprise too "

" Is that why you are angry? "

" No ... No that's not it"

" What is it then ?"

" We mated last night "

If a look could kill, I'd have been six ft below the ground " why would you do something like that to her man? You know what this means right? "

I rolled my eyes " yes I know but for your information, I didn't mark her. "

" All the same. You should have informed her about it before going this far with her "

" And you think she'll believe me? Someone that doesn't know we existed, how do you think she'll take the news? She thinks I'm some human and I'm sure she doesn't know that Stella is one of us too"

" Stella? What brought Stella into this? "

" It's Ella. She is my mate "

" You've got to be kidding me! How is that even possible? Now I understood why you kept staring at her last night " he was shocked " you finally found her man"

" But she's human"

" It doesn't matter. She'd come to know the truth "

" Why do you seem happier than I am? " I couldn't help but ask.

" I knew there was something different about her and I'm happy she's the one for you. "

I squint my eyes at him " I don't get you"

" Remember the day we went to Daniel's office? "

I nodded " yes, I know she's the girl you met there so? "

" No, it's isn't about that "

" Then what is it about? " I was getting all confused now. What is Alex driving at?

"Did you notice the mark on her arm?"

" What mark?" I didn't realize she has a mark.

" There is this little mark that looks like a sphere just below her wrist. If you were observant enough you'll see it. That Mark is exactly like those of Zeus. The black world. I don't know why a human-like her has such a make " he explained.

This doesn't sound right. Zeus is people you don't mess with. They are also wolves but have Lycan blood in them. If truly what Alex said is true, does that mean she belongs to Zeus? But then again I see no sign of any hidden powers in her or could she be hiding it?

" Look man I know what I saw but I think she doesn't know who she is or where she comes from. I can't miss that mark and we all know that it's is not ordinary" Alex said.

" Now what do you want me to do?"

He shrugged " I don't know, it's up to you"

Things are getting hard for me, I never saw this coming. Zeus blood has been our enemy for over a decade. They were once part of us not until their king back in the days betrayed our ancestors which brought about the fight and separation of land. They were caused out of the land.

The Zeus then took it upon themselves to start a pack of their own and since then we haven't heard anything from them.

" Don't think too deep into this Zion. Right now we need to find prove to be sure whether we are right or wrong. We might be wrong "

No matter what he says, I still find it hard to believe that it was a lie. I need to get to the root of the matter. Firstly, I need to get her back. She is my luna and I need my luna right beside me

My boss can be so harsh at times. Just because I was late to work today he decided to punish me with piles of work. Right now I was sitting in my office with bulky files laying on my desk. I groaned for the tenth time when my head started to ache.

I rubbed my forehead hoping to stop the migraine that's beginning to form. This wasn't how I expected my day to be at all.

My wrist was beginning to pain from writing. I rubbed my wrist and then the sphere shape on my wrist came to view. It was more like a tattoo but I've never had a tattoo in my life.

I once asked Mom about it and all she said was I took after my father who is already late. I decided not to think too much over it. I stood up and walk to my small fridge, I picked out a cold bottle of water and sip out of it.

The cold substance gave me a relaxing feeling. Coldwater does help me a lot.

Stella was persistent, she wants to know where I was last night. She has her hand on her waist ready to hear me speak and I didn't give any indication that I'd speak

She pouted " really? You won't say anything ?"

I rolled my eyes " I was upstairs where else ?"

She shook her head at me " but why didn't I see you. When I got upstairs, all the rooms were occupied with people having sex except you are among them "

She got me right there " I don't know what you're talking about "

" Don't play games with me, Ella. I know you didn't go home last night so where the hell did you spend the night? I tried calling your line but it was switched off"

I shrugged " that's because I didn't want any disturbance. I was already asleep"

" I don't know why I find it hard to believe" she gave me a look " you were with someone, my instinct tells me you were with someone last night," Said and came right beside me.

Stella sniffed the air like a dog " you smell different "

" Are you now a dog?"

She glared at me " don't call me that "

" Then stop acting like this. What is it with I smell differently? I'm always like this so I don't understand what you are talking about "

She seems annoyed " you want to hide things from me now? I thought we share secrets so why is yours an exception? "

I groaned " please stop making me look like the bad bitch"

" Of course you're the bad bitch. You're being mean to me" she pouted.

I let out a frustrated sigh " okay fine. You were right"

" Finally she speaks. You were with a guy, right? "

I furrowed my brows at her " stop making it sound as if I was whoring myself "

" Oh please! We all know you are a good girl so you've got nothing to worry about " she pinched my cheeks like a small girl

" Hey" I swat her hands away.

Stella laughed hard " so tell me what happened last night in detail. Don't you dare miss a point"

I rolled my eyes then lay flat on the bed. We were having a girl's time at my house. I'm sure she wanted to make up for ditching me the last night " tell me please " she was staring at me.

" I gave it away Stella" I blurted out.

" Gave what away? " She asked confused. Aside from my mom, she was the only one that knew I was a virgin.

" Do I need to spell that out ?" I rolled my eyes.

Realization dawn on her " you've got to be kidding me. who?! How ?! When?! "

" Calm down"

" I can't keep calm. This is one of the best news ever. My friend is now a big girl" she teased while I rolled my eyes at her.

When she finally got herself together, I continued.

" He is someone you know," I said.

She looks confused " someone I know? Alex?"

" God no! Not him"

I could see the relief on her face. I knew she has something for Alex.

"Then who?"

" Zion"

" What?!" She yelled.

I expected her to be calm about it but she seems mad, really mad " how can he do that to you?!"

" Calm down Stella. He didn't do it forcefully. We both agreed to it " I tried explaining

" But he should have known better to ask for my permission first," she said but I think there was more meaning to what she said.

" I don't get you, you aren't my mother so why would he ask for your permission? I thought we agreed last night that we will enjoy ourselves and whatever happened stays there so why are you acting like this now? "

Stella rubbed the bridge of her nose " it's different Ella. If it was another guy I wouldn't mind but Zion is a different case "

" Why is he a different case? "

She was hesitant " just forget it "

I scoffed " the hell I'll forget it. You better tell me all I need to know " I sat upright.

She let out a sigh " Zion is a player "

I shrugged " I know "

" I don't want you to feel sad but the truth is he never gets into a relationship after he lost his girlfriend"

But I thought he said he wasn't single.

" Is girlfriend died?"

Stella nodded " I know how you get attached to people in time and I also know how it feels when you give out your most cherished gift to someone. I don't want you to end up getting hurt, Ella. Please don't make the mistake of falling for Zion, you'll only end up getting hurt in the process"

People change " what if the reverse is the case? What if he ends up falling for me? "

" Then I'll be glad "

" I know you are only after my well-being and I admire that. I knew from the start that Zion is a player so have your mind at peace I'm not in love with him. Quite alright we might have gotten acquainted but I'm not stupid to fall so easily" I told her. What I said hurts a lot but she doesn't need to know that.

" Are you sure ?" Stella asked.

I nodded " absolutely"

She pulled me for a hug " I want the best for you Ella and I know you'll find the one "

I pretended as if I wasn't pained. I withdrew from the hug then asked " where were you last night also?"

Stella blushed " you know that guy we saw yesterday?"

" Fred's friend?" I asked

" Yeas him"

" Woo! Someone is blushing" I teased " tell me everything that happened"

Stella chuckled " nothing much. He took me to a restaurant. I remembered telling him I was hungry then he said to me he has this perfect place he'd like to take me too and you know I don't always deny offers especially when it comes to food."

I giggled " I know right. So what happened next?"

" Well he told me more about himself and he has this little business he is running. He looks like a good guy but I still don't see myself with him. We might have shared a kiss here and there but the spark isn't there at all. " She sighed

I understand how she feels. It's always annoying when you don't have a connection with someone that loves you and the idea of forcing the connection seems like a bad idea. I won't suggest such action to anyone because that person might end up getting hurt in the process.
