Chapter 1

My sister wanted to make a quick buck selling herself on a cruise ship.

I tried desperately to stop her, but my entire family held me down and drowned me in the ocean instead.

When I opened my eyes again, I was back at the moment before she left.

This time, I smiled while helping her with her makeup. "Let me send you off properly, sis."

Later, her screams echoed through the nightmare aboard that ship.

I stood safe in the arms of a mafia Don who held me close. "Figlia, your Papa finally found you."

Meanwhile, my adoptive parents and sister were on their knees across the deck, begging me to spare their worthless lives.

A notification popped up on my phone.

"Cruise trip now boarding! Busty bunny girls who know how to scream, juicy and ready for action! Limited slots available. Come enjoy the party!"

It was the summer after freshman year. My twin sister Drew Romano was hellbent on joining that slutty senior Luna Rossi aboard some cruise ship as a "bunny girl" to make some fast cash.

I scrolled past the ad online, and my chest tightened.

In my past life, I was terrified something would happen to Drew, so I worked up the nerve to stop her.

She was obsessed with making money and even hurled vicious insults at me.

I panicked and called our parents. Together we dragged Drew back home.

She spent the entire summer locked inside the house, practically climbing the walls.

Meanwhile, Luna hooked up with a mafia Don on that ship and came back dripping in gold and jewels.

She made a point of flaunting it in front of my sister, waving around a hand loaded with eight diamond rings until her eyes went red.

Drew turned green with envy. She went completely insane and took all her rage out on me, convinced I had destroyed her path to wealth.

My father, a Capo desperate to climb the ranks, was furious that he missed his chance with the mafia Don. He slapped me across the face over and over.

My mother, dreaming of riding her daughter's coattails to glory, cursed me with the vilest words imaginable.

They tied me up, dragged me to the shore, and all three of them held my head underwater until I drowned.

That was how I died.

The moment my consciousness returned, I had returned to the day my sister agreed to take that job.

Memories of betrayal and hatred from my past life flashed through my mind. When I came back to senses, I was already walking through the front door.

Luna was sprawled across the couch looking absolutely seductive.

"Drew, it wasn't easy getting this spot, and you were the first person I thought of. Everyone on that cruise is a big shot!"

Big shots? More like a bunch of drug dealers hiding behind the mafia name.

I sneered inwardly.

Luna noticed me walk in and deliberately needled Drew. "If you don't make money, how can you ever compare to your sister? She's swimming in scholarship money."

"She's nothing!" Drew jumped to her feet. "She just got lucky and knows how to study, that's all!"

I had always been better than Drew at everything, which made her feel inferior and bitter.

I got into the top university in Melcina with the highest scores in our entire school. Drew barely scraped into some third-rate college.

At the celebration banquet attended by all our relatives, she pointed at my face and called me a sheltered bookworm who never grew up.

"If she left school and lost all those classmates kissing her ass, she wouldn't even know how to survive on the streets. Why should anyone compare her to me?"

"But Tina isn't just good at studying. The guys chasing after her could form a line all the way to the school gates." Luna continued stirring the pot without a care.

Drew put on a disdainful expression. "Hmph! Those guys only swarm around her because she's cheap and easy."

She was right about one thing. The boys at school did circle around me. They gave me flowers and wrote me love letters. However, Drew tore every single one to shreds and threw them in the trash.

Meanwhile, Marco Lombardi, the senior she had pined after for three years, invited only me to his birthday party.

Drew dolled herself up and crashed the event anyway, only to be turned away at the door. For someone like Drew, who was as proud as a peacock, it was utterly humiliating.

She screamed at me in front of everyone. "You slut! What kind of dirty tricks did you use to seduce him?"

Looking back now, she was just arrogant and stupid.

"Tina, didn't you refuse to hand over your scholarship money to me?" Drew suddenly turned toward me, her eyes full of provocation.

"Fine. This time I'll make my own money. I don't need your dirty cash!"

I smiled bitterly. Mom and Dad had made it clear that since I had scholarship money, they would not support me anymore.

When it came time to pay tuition, Dad shoved his bank card back into his pocket right there at the finance office. "Don't you have a scholarship? Pay it yourself."

Then he turned around and gave that same money to Drew as spending cash.

When my meal card ran low, I called Mom for help.

She said, "Didn't they just deposit your scholarship money? Why do girls need to eat so much anyway!"

Two minutes later, Drew posted a photo on social media of the three of them feasting at an upscale restaurant.

The scholarship barely covered my tuition and meals, let alone clothes or other necessities.

That money was barely enough for me. How could I possibly give it to her?

There was no way I would feed her bottomless pit of vanity.

Drew's selfishness, her vanity, her greed, her insatiable hunger, and the viciousness in her bones were all products of our parents spoiling her rotten since childhood.

This time around, I would not say another word. I would sit back and watch this little show unfold.

I plastered a fake smile across my face.

"If my sister can stand on her own two feet, of course I’ll support her. I hope you land yourself a mafia Don real soon!"

Chapter 2

A triumphant expression spread across Drew's face.

Luna immediately dragged both of us to a nightclub to meet up with her little crew.

Music pounded against my eardrums. The stench of alcohol and cheap perfume made my head spin and my stomach turn.

I just wanted to get the hell out of this place.

The moment I stood up from the booth, a hand with neon green nail polish pressed down on my shoulder.

"Where do you think you're going, my dear sweet sister?"

Luna and her gang of delinquents surrounded me in a tight circle, malicious grins plastered across their faces.

Drew snatched my bag away and roughly dumped everything out onto the table.

Lipstick, keys, student ID, and finally my phone with the recording app still open on the screen.

"I knew you wouldn't come here without some trick up your sleeve!"

Drew's face twisted instantly. She grabbed my phone and slammed it down on the table.

"You b*tch! You were recording? Planning to run crying to Mom and Dad again like their perfect little daughter?"

I stared coldly at her hysterical display. "I can delete it. I won't tell them anything."

Then I deleted the recording file right in front of everyone.

In my past life, I really did show that recording to my parents. That was why they locked Drew up for the entire summer.

Now that I was reborn, I just wanted to be a spectator. I had no interest in saving these idiots.

"Drew, don't believe her!"

Luna shot her a meaningful look. "She deleted it way too easily. She's probably got another recorder hidden on her somewhere, or maybe even a spy camera!"

Drew's expression darkened immediately. She lunged forward, grabbed the neckline of my dress with both hands, and yanked down hard.

The fabric ripped. In an instant, I was completely naked.

The girls around me burst into laughter and whipped out their phones to take pictures. Camera flashes blinded me as vile insults flew from every direction.

"Wow, nice body!"

"Look, look! This is definitely going viral on the forums!"

A wave of unprecedented humiliation crashed over me. I desperately tried to cover myself with my hands.

"Tina, you walked right into this one. Don't blame me."

Drew's voice was practically dripping with vengeful satisfaction.

I curled up in the corner of the couch, trembling all over.

Luna's eyes raked over my body with interest.

She leaned in close to Drew's ear, smiling like a snake. "I have a brilliant idea. Bring her on the cruise ship with us."

Drew hesitated. "I don't know. Won't she steal my thunder?"

Luna continued persuading her. "Think about it. Twin bunny girls? That gimmick alone will make us five times the money! Plus you can keep her close by and make sure she doesn't run her mouth."

"Deal! Let's do it!"

Drew's eyes lit up like she could already see dollar signs.

She ordered her gang to pin me down. They pried my mouth open and forced glass after glass of hard liquor down my throat.

My consciousness was quickly consumed by alcohol.

Luna snapped several half-naked photos of me.

"You’d better cooperate tomorrow, and there'll be something in it for you. However, if you try anything stupid, these pictures will be plastered all over your campus!"

Then I passed out from the alcohol.

When I woke up again, girls were sprawled out drunk all around me. The air was thick and foul.

I knew that once I got on that ship, there would be no turning back. I glanced around and spotted a half-empty bottle of vodka on the corner of the table next to a still-burning scented candle.

I staggered to my feet and deliberately slammed my body into the table.

The bottle and candle toppled over together. Blue flames shot up instantly, igniting the tablecloth and the curtains nearby.

Thick smoke billowed through the room, and the fire alarm screamed. The private booth erupted into chaos.

Within moments, nightclub security kicked the door open and rushed inside.

I kept my head down, slipped through the panicking crowd, and stumbled home with my clothes in tatters.

Mom and Dad were sitting on the couch with grim expressions on their faces.

"Where's Drew?" Mom's voice was sharp and accusatory.

"Why isn't she back yet? She's not answering her phone!"

My heart sank. They did not even glance at my disheveled state.

Dad walked up to me. His eyes were full of suspicion and rage.

"What did you do with Drew?"

Before I could explain, a slap landed on my face.

"I'm warning you, Tina! Drew has to get on that ship! It's her only chance to make it big! Don't you dare ruin this for her!"

I pressed my hand against my stinging cheek, and the truth hit me like a freight train.

They had been reborn too, and they felt absolutely no guilt over my death.

Disappointment and resentment flooded through me.

Just then, my phone rang. It was Drew calling.

I was about to hang up when Mom snatched it away and put it on speaker.

Drew's arrogant voice blasted through. "Tina! You b*tch, just you wait! I'm coming home right now to drag your ass onto that ship. Don't think that running away will stop me from getting rich!"

While Drew was explaining things to them, I turned and bolted for the door.

The very next second, Dad kicked me in the back of my knee. I collapsed to the floor in agony, unable to get up.

Mom walked over slowly, carrying a cup of soy milk.

"Tina, this time around we won't let you destroy our family's fortune." A venomous smile was on her face.

Chapter 3

"Drew said if you come along too, we'll make five times the money!"

Mom's smile twisted into something grotesque.

"Drew's about to meet some very important people. As her sister, you wouldn't want to steal her spotlight, would you?"

Dad pinned my arms down while Mom grabbed my chin and forced the soy milk down my throat.

"I can't drink this! I'm allergic to soy. It'll kill me!"

I thrashed and fought with everything I had. It was clear they planned to leave me half-dead before dragging me onto that ship, cutting off any chance I had of rising above this.

They pried my mouth open without mercy and poured the entire cup down my throat.

My throat and esophagus immediately burned with an itchy, searing pain. Breathing became difficult.

"Just bear with it. Your sister now has a rare chance to climb the social ladder. We can't let anything ruin it!"

I crawled across the floor and desperately clutched at Mom's pant leg.

"Mom, Dad, why?" The tears I had been holding back finally broke free.

"My whole life I've done everything you asked. Laundry, cooking, working for money. Why do you only treat her well? I'm your daughter too!"

Mom kicked me away in disgust.

"Look at yourself! We've raised you this long and haven't kicked you out yet. That should be enough! How dare you compare yourself to your sister?"

I stared at them in shock.

The way they looked at me, like I was trash, finally killed whatever hope I had left.

They dragged me into my room, threw me on the floor, then locked the door with a loud click.

No matter how much I begged, they refused to give me my allergy medication. The last shred of familial love I had been clinging to turned to ash.

I curled up on the floor as huge patches of red hives erupted across my skin. The itching was unbearable, but I did not even have the strength to lift my hand and scratch.

Through my fading consciousness, I heard my parents talking in the living room.

"She's been nothing but a burden!" Mom sounded disgusted and impatient.

"If she weren't useful for chores and making money, I would've thrown her out to the dogs ages ago."

Dad grunted in agreement. "Once this is done, we'll be set for life. Then we can toss her out."

"Hmph. With that weak body of hers, who knows if she'll even last that long." Mom's voice dropped lower. "Though if she dies, it's what she deserves. At least she won't waste our food anymore."

I bit down hard on my lower lip until I tasted blood. So all these years of pouring my heart out, and swallowing my pride and anger, meant nothing.

To them, I was just a tool. Someone that could work and make money.

When I was useful, they kept me breathing. When I was not, they would toss me aside like garbage.

This time around, I would not just sit here and wait to die.

I would survive… And I would make this heartless couple pay!

The next morning, they forced me into a bunny girl swimsuit and dragged me into the car.

"Mom, Dad, why don't you come along too?"

I had already made up my mind. Since they showed me no mercy, I would show them none in return.

Mom froze mid-motion as she was closing the car door. She frowned and studied me suspiciously.

"What's gotten into you? Since when do you care?"

Dad's eyes were scrutinizing yet tinged with hope. "Do you really want us to come?"

They exchanged glances, utterly shocked.

I curved my lips into an obedient, sweet smile. "Of course. That way you can see my sister hit it big with your own eyes!"

Mom could not help pressing further. "Have you really come around? You're not holding a grudge anymore?"

The wariness in Dad's eyes softened a bit. "See? That's more like it. We're family. No point holding grudges overnight."

Watching them excitedly fantasize about the future, I sneered inwardly.

In my past life, I had seen some shocking comments beneath Luna's online post.

"That last batch of girls didn't cut it. They couldn't even last two rounds."

"This time we've got clients who like older women. Make arrangements."

"For clients with special fetishes, do whatever it takes to satisfy them."
