Chapter 4

At this time, she should have been asleep already.

I answered the phone and asked, “Mom, why are you still awake at this hour?”

My mom angrily replied, “Did you go after Kevin again? He called me and said he’s getting married and now you’re still bothering him? Do you want to be his mistress? Ivory, I’m warning you, if you really do that, don’t bother coming back to this home.”

I couldn’t believe he called my mom. “Mom, I didn’t! I hate him so much, how could I still go after him?”

I explained for a long time before my mom finally believed me. I really didn't know what kind of bad luck I’d had to meet such a terrible man in my life.

Excited by our plan, Lisa and I used every channel to find Kevin’s three ex-girlfriends.

All three of them had similar experiences to Lisa and me. After the breakup, Kevin spread rumors about them. He even called them just like he did with us. So, the five of us officially formed a revenge alliance.

On the day of Kevin’s wedding, we all dressed up to look our best.

When we arrived at the wedding banquet hall, we happened to run into Kevin, who was greeting guests. When he saw the five of us, his face turned dark.

I smiled and said, “Can’t recognize us? We’re all old acquaintances.”

Kevin panicked, like a bug on a hot pan and said, "What are you all doing here? Get out of here! Today’s an important day for me, don’t cause trouble."

I replied, "We’re here to congratulate you and bring you some gifts. Aren’t you going to welcome us?"

Kevin gritted his teeth and said, "Who the hell wants your congratulations? Get lost."

I smiled and said, "You didn’t care when you spread rumors. Why are you so desperate now?"

Kevin threatened me, "Do you know what kind of status I’ll have in the future? If you mess with me, you won’t end up well."

Kevin sneered. "One word from me and you’ll never find a job in this city. Besides, you’re all women. If you want to get married, ruining your reputation won’t do you any good."

Our reputations were already ruined because of him.

At that moment, a man walked up to Kevin and said, "Kevin, the wedding is about to start. You should go backstage and get ready."

Kevin nodded, then looked at us and said, "Get out of here. In the end, it’ll be you who’ll be embarrassed." He sneered. "You don’t even know how much she loves me. Even if you’re here, she’ll still marry me."

With that, Kevin went backstage.

Of course, we didn’t leave. Not only did we stay, but we also took the most prominent seats—the VIP seats.

The wedding coordinator approached us. "Excuse me, are you sitting in the wrong place? This is the VIP section."

I replied, "I know this is the VIP section and we’re sitting here."

He frowned and asked, "Which side are you from?"

I responded, "We’re from the groom’s side, but not relatives. We’re all his ex-girlfriends."

The coordinator's face darkened instantly and he said, "I hope you all don’t cause trouble. Please leave now."

I replied, "Kevin personally called us and invited us to the wedding. Do you think you have the authority to ask us to leave? If you’re unclear about the situation, you can go ask Kevin."

The others chimed in, "Yes, Kevin called me personally."

"He invited us and if we don’t come, wouldn’t that be disrespectful to him?"

I couldn't tell what the coordinator was thinking, but his expression was truly unforgettable.

Chapter 5

He was probably cursing Kevin in his mind, wondering why on earth he invited his ex-girlfriends to the wedding.

Soon, the wedding officially began.

As soon as Kevin took the stage, he saw us and his face stiffened. The host beside him had to remind him to keep smiling.

His smile looked more like a grimace than a smile.

Suddenly, Kevin grabbed the microphone and pointed at us, shouting, "Where are the security guards? Get these people out of here. These are my ex-girlfriends. They deliberately came to disrupt my wedding. I know you all still love me and don't want to break up, but I don't love any of you. A forced relationship is never sweet, so why do you have to keep bothering me?"

His explosive comments instantly caused a stir in the audience.

Everyone's gaze was focused on the five of us.

"How could people like them exist?"

"These women are so shameless. They come and disrupt the wedding."

"It seems Kevin is really outstanding. There are so many women obsessed with him."

Kevin continued, "My heart belongs to someone else. The woman I love most in this life is only Avelyn. You can't even compare to her in the slightest."

The bride stepped onto the stage.

She looked at us with intense hostility in her eyes, took the microphone and said, "We’re all women here, why make things so awkward for ourselves? Kevin doesn't love you. What’s the point of clinging to him?"

"Who would want to get entangled with this despicable man?" I said. "We’re not entangled with him; we were simply hurt too badly by him and want justice."

I pulled Lisa along, saying, "After Lisa broke up with him, he spread rumors that she had an STD, leading her family to cut ties with her. We had our lives ruined because we broke up with Kevin. Do you think we still love him? Anyone who loves a man like this is blind. We hate him to the core."

Kevin angrily pointed at me and said, "You're making baseless accusations against me."

I said, "Kevin, you even cheat women out of their money. Are you even human?"

I looked at the bride and said, “When Kevin was with Lisa, they opened a joint account as a couple. After taking all the money, he vanished without a trace. How could you ever fall for a man like this? After I broke up with him, he messaged every one of my friends, colleagues and even my boss, claiming I was trying to commit suicide because of him. He said I was emotionally unstable and that they should stay away from me. I lost my job and I lost my friends.”

I smirked. "How would I even know he was getting married? He called me himself to tell me. What kind of person brags about their marriage in front of an ex? I don’t know just how insecure he is to pull a stunt like this. He even asked Lisa to be his mistress, saying he’d support her with your money.”

I spilled everything in a stern gaze.

Kevin panicked and cursed at me, “You’re talking nonsense! When did I ever call you?”

He looked at Avelyn, frantically trying to explain, “Honey, I didn’t. I swear to the heavens, I haven’t contacted them since the breakup. I don’t even have their contact info. They couldn’t have me, so they just want to ruin me.”

Hearing this made me feel sick to my stomach. "Who would even want you?"

Avelyn sneered at me, saying, "The more you act like this, the more I see why Kevin left you all behind. He's outstanding, someone truly worth admiring, but none of you were ever good enough for him."

Chapter 6

Avelyn believed in Kevin and I could understand why. She’d never met any of us before and he had a way with words, a talent for fooling women.

In some ways, I even felt for her. I could see myself in her, making the same mistakes I once did.

Back then, my friends had tried to warn me, telling me Kevin wasn’t grounded or reliable. But I ignored them, falling for his charm and empty promises.

Now, Avelyn was caught in the same web.

Kevin gave me a smug look and said, “I told you, making a scene won’t change anything. You’re only embarrassing yourselves. The more people know you’re hanging onto me, the less chance you’ll have with anyone else. I’ve got this all on video,” Kevin sneered. “I’ll send it to your families so they can see just how shameless you all are.”

I’d come here prepared, ready to face whatever fallout might come from this. I wasn’t worried about who would see it.

Besides, Kevin hadn’t won yet and I certainly hadn’t lost.

I said, “Kevin, you were the one who called us. It’s only been a few days. Don’t tell me you’ve already forgotten?”

Kevin gave a cold laugh. “A woman like you, spouting lies as soon as you open your mouth. Who would believe anything you say? Do you even have proof?”

That was exactly what I’d been waiting for.

In the past, when I’d told him I wanted to break up, he’d demanded proof. When Lisa accused him of taking her savings, he demanded proof again.

Back then, we had nothing to back up our claims, leaving us powerless. But now, when he asked for proof, I finally had it.

I walked over to Avelyn and said, “Do you mind if I borrow the mic? I want to make sure everyone hears this proof clearly.”

Seeing how confident I was, Kevin started to panic.

“What are you trying to do?” he asked, a hint of fear in his voice.

I smiled. “Didn’t you want proof? I’ll give it to you now. Let everyone hear it.”

Desperate, Kevin quickly turned to Avelyn. “Honey, don’t believe her.”

I looked at Avelyn and said, “I don’t know what sweet lies he’s told you, but don’t you want to know the kind of person he really is?”

After a moment of hesitation, Avelyn handed me the microphone. But before I could react, Kevin rushed forward and kicked me hard in the stomach.

The pain made me break out in cold sweat.

Kevin yelled in anger, “Bitch, get out! Where are the guards? Throw this bitch out!”

Lisa and the others quickly gathered around me.

At that moment, Kevin’s mother stepped forward, standing tall and looking down at me. “Your name is Ivory, right? I’ve heard Kevin mention you. After you broke up with him, you were fired from your company. You’ve got no skills and now you’re blaming my son?”

She continued, “I know you’ve been clinging to him for a long time. Women like you, with no shame, are a dime a dozen. My son is exceptional and you’re not worthy of him. That’s your own problem.”

She looked at me with disgust and sneered, "A woman like you will never find a man in this life."

She tore me apart with her words.

The relatives and friends around us joined in, mocking me.

“How can a woman be this shameless?”

“It’s just a breakup and yet she’s causing a scene at a wedding?”

“She’s just upset because her ex found someone better and now she’s trying to destroy his happiness.”

“Luckily, I’ve never had to deal with a woman like her.”

“Hurry, take a picture of her and post it online, let everyone see what a disgusting person she really is.”
