Chapter 2
I sneered and said, "Kevin, you edited a photo, do you think I'll believe it?"
Kevin cursed, "Ivory, you're such an idiot. No wonder the company fired you. How could such a real photo be edited? You know it's true, but you don't want to believe it. You're jealous because I found such a beautiful woman. I'm telling you, her family owns a company and is very wealthy. After we get married, I'll go work as an executive at her company. You don’t have a job, right? I’ll arrange a position for you to clean the toilets, hahaha."
Kevin's harsh laughter left me stunned.
How could such a despicable person have such good luck? Heaven must be blind to let such a petty man succeed.
I said, "Sure, I'll attend your wedding."
Kevin sneered. "Idiot, I just wanted to show off in front of you, let you know that I found someone better and you’re just trash."
He hung up the phone.
He called me an idiot and I hadn’t even cursed him back yet. If I didn’t reply, I wouldn’t be able to sleep properly for an entire year.
I quickly redialed the number.
"Sorry, the number you’ve dialed is currently unavailable, please..."
I called back over ten times, but the result was the same.
"Ah!" I was furious. "Kevin, just wait. I’ll make sure to cause a scene at your wedding. I’m sure you won’t be able to marry any woman!”
I could only vent my emotions with powerless rage.
At that moment, the owner's group chat exploded.
[Who is this? Are you crazy at this hour? Shouting like that, can’t you let people sleep? Don’t you see the time? It’s almost 11 o'clock. If you want to lose it, go to the street.]
I quickly apologized to the neighborhood group.
[Sorry, everyone. My ex-boyfriend called to tell me he was getting married and he insulted me, calling me an idiot. I just couldn't control myself.]
I briefly explained in the group about the rumors he spread after our breakup.
I intended to explain the reason for my outburst, but unexpectedly, the whole neighborhood group started comforting me.
[How could your ex-boyfriend be so despicable?]
[He's a good-for-nothing, really embarrassing us men.]
[Ivory, are you not going to cause a scene at his wedding? Can you really swallow your anger?]
[A man like him will never have a good ending.]
Before long, someone rang the doorbell. A girl stood outside.
I opened the door and asked, "May I help you?"
She said, "I saw your message earlier. I came to talk to you."
My face instantly turned red and I hurriedly said, "You don’t need to come all the way here to comfort me."
She raised her phone and when I saw the screen, I froze. It was a photo and it was a very intimate one of Kevin with her.
"You... and him?" I stammered, unsure of what to say.
She replied, "Just call me Lisa. I used to date Kevin."
I invited Lisa inside.
She started telling me about her relationship with Kevin.
They had been together for six months and after they broke up, Kevin took their joint savings from their couple's bank account and spread rumors about Lisa’s private life.
Lisa lost her job and even severed ties with her family.
I couldn’t believe it. There was someone who had it even worse than me.
Chapter 3
“Kevin said I was sleeping around and that I had an STD. The story spread back home and my dad kicked me out. He ruined my life.”
I gritted my teeth, angry that he had ruined this girl's life. I asked, "How did you know I was talking about Kevin?"
Lisa angrily said, “I don’t think there’s any man worse than him in this world.”
At that moment, Lisa’s phone suddenly rang. She became agitated and said to me, “It’s Kevin!”
I reminded her to turn on the recorder.
After answering the phone, Lisa cried, “Kevin, why are you trying to ruin me? You took our joint money and said I have an STD, you know…”
Before Lisa could finish, I vaguely heard Kevin’s voice. “Shut your dirty mouth, you crazy woman. Stop talking nonsense. That money was mine to begin with.”
Lisa replied, “Most of that money was saved by me, how could it be yours?”
Kevin said, "The account is mine, so of course, the money is mine. When did you ever deposit money? I don't know anything about it. Do you have any proof?"
He really took shamelessness to the extreme.
Lisa was crying uncontrollably, saying, "You didn't let me use bank transfers, you made me deposit cash. How could I have proof?"
Kevin smiled smugly. "Exactly, you have no proof. So stop talking nonsense. How could I possibly care about your little bit of money?"
Lisa's tears kept falling and she didn’t even know what to say.
Kevin continued, "I'm getting married soon and I’m about to become a millionaire. I heard your family has cut ties with you. How about considering being my mistress? I’ll take care of you from now on. Don’t worry, I’ll be the company’s high-level executive soon and I’ll have plenty of money."
Lisa couldn't say a word for a long time, which made me anxious.
I grabbed the phone and cursed, "Your mom is the one who should be a mistress. Kevin, get as far away as possible."
"I... Ivory?"
"Yes, it's me, you bastard. I can't believe not only did you spread rumors about me, but you're also doing the same to others!"
Kevin laughed and said, "What rumors? She was already sick. I was just speaking the truth."
I angrily retorted, "She only had some gynecological inflammation, it wasn't an STD!"
Kevin shrugged nonchalantly, "I don’t know, I just made a mistake. What’s the big deal?"
I could feel my teeth grinding in frustration.
He destroyed a girl's reputation and acted like it didn’t matter.
"How did you end up with Lisa? You two aren't forming some 'lost love alliance,' are you? Haha! Why don't you both consider being my mistresses? I have plenty of money to support you."
He added, “If you listen to me and act like an obedient dog. I'll make sure you never have to worry about food.”
I was furious and shouted, “You’re the dog, Kevin! Your whole family is a bunch of dogs!’
After I cursed him, I hung up the phone because Lisa was crying uncontrollably and I had to comfort her.
“Don’t cry, he’s getting married, right? Let’s figure out a way to stop him from going through with it. People like him shouldn’t get to live a good life.”
Lisa nodded and said, “I want revenge. I’ll make him pay.”
Just then, my mom unexpectedly called me.
Chapter 4
At this time, she should have been asleep already.
I answered the phone and asked, “Mom, why are you still awake at this hour?”
My mom angrily replied, “Did you go after Kevin again? He called me and said he’s getting married and now you’re still bothering him? Do you want to be his mistress? Ivory, I’m warning you, if you really do that, don’t bother coming back to this home.”
I couldn’t believe he called my mom. “Mom, I didn’t! I hate him so much, how could I still go after him?”
I explained for a long time before my mom finally believed me. I really didn't know what kind of bad luck I’d had to meet such a terrible man in my life.
Excited by our plan, Lisa and I used every channel to find Kevin’s three ex-girlfriends.
All three of them had similar experiences to Lisa and me. After the breakup, Kevin spread rumors about them. He even called them just like he did with us. So, the five of us officially formed a revenge alliance.
On the day of Kevin’s wedding, we all dressed up to look our best.
When we arrived at the wedding banquet hall, we happened to run into Kevin, who was greeting guests. When he saw the five of us, his face turned dark.
I smiled and said, “Can’t recognize us? We’re all old acquaintances.”
Kevin panicked, like a bug on a hot pan and said, "What are you all doing here? Get out of here! Today’s an important day for me, don’t cause trouble."
I replied, "We’re here to congratulate you and bring you some gifts. Aren’t you going to welcome us?"
Kevin gritted his teeth and said, "Who the hell wants your congratulations? Get lost."
I smiled and said, "You didn’t care when you spread rumors. Why are you so desperate now?"
Kevin threatened me, "Do you know what kind of status I’ll have in the future? If you mess with me, you won’t end up well."
Kevin sneered. "One word from me and you’ll never find a job in this city. Besides, you’re all women. If you want to get married, ruining your reputation won’t do you any good."
Our reputations were already ruined because of him.
At that moment, a man walked up to Kevin and said, "Kevin, the wedding is about to start. You should go backstage and get ready."
Kevin nodded, then looked at us and said, "Get out of here. In the end, it’ll be you who’ll be embarrassed." He sneered. "You don’t even know how much she loves me. Even if you’re here, she’ll still marry me."
With that, Kevin went backstage.
Of course, we didn’t leave. Not only did we stay, but we also took the most prominent seats—the VIP seats.
The wedding coordinator approached us. "Excuse me, are you sitting in the wrong place? This is the VIP section."
I replied, "I know this is the VIP section and we’re sitting here."
He frowned and asked, "Which side are you from?"
I responded, "We’re from the groom’s side, but not relatives. We’re all his ex-girlfriends."
The coordinator's face darkened instantly and he said, "I hope you all don’t cause trouble. Please leave now."
I replied, "Kevin personally called us and invited us to the wedding. Do you think you have the authority to ask us to leave? If you’re unclear about the situation, you can go ask Kevin."
The others chimed in, "Yes, Kevin called me personally."
"He invited us and if we don’t come, wouldn’t that be disrespectful to him?"
I couldn't tell what the coordinator was thinking, but his expression was truly unforgettable.
