Leon took the food tray and went to the room where Julianne was locked.

“I’ve talked to the doctors.The kidney surgery will be in three days.If you don’t eat now,your body won’t have enough strength.Even if you hate me,you should think about yourself,right?”

Julianne looked at him with hatred.A smile slowly appeared on her lips.“That sounds nice,but aren’t you just afraid that if I die,there will be no one left to give your dear first love a kidney?Why pretend to care about me?”

In the past,no matter how angry Julianne was,she would never talk like this.That's why,Leon felt a little panic.He wanted to explain that his concern was real.But in the end,he gave up.

He grabbed Julianne’s chin and forced her mouth open.He then pushed the food into her mouth.“Jullie,be good.You’ll understand why I did this one day.”

Julianne was forced to eat in this humiliating way.Tears flowed down her face without control.She looked at Leon.Her eyes were empty and lifeless.

At that moment,Leon’s hand loosened unconsciously.Pity and guilt took over.

He stood up.“If you don’t want to eat,I’ll leave.I’m doing this for your health.”

The room was quiet again.Only Julianne was left.Even though it was late,she couldn’t fall asleep.

In seven days,her company was supposed to go public.It was also the day her divorce would be approved.But before that,she was locked here,waiting for a surgery she didn't even want or need.

Hatred filled Julianne’s heart.She told herself to remember this moment.When she took revenge on Leon and Silvana in the future,she wouldn't spare them at all.

After a while,Julianne got weaker and weaker.Finally,she fell asleep.

For the next two days,Leon didn’t appear again.

She only heard the maids whispering.“Mr.Rockfell’s favorite is still Ms.Blake.I heard she refused to sleep at the hospital,so he went to comfort her in person.”

“Ms.Cross on the other hand,got locked in that room.She’s just a spare body whose kidney is waiting to be taken for Ms.Blake.”

Julianne’s face slowly turned pale.

On the third day,Leon came back with several people behind him.

Julianne was secretly sent to a private hospital and pushed into the operating room for the kidney surgery.

“Jullie,I found the best doctors for you.Don’t worry.The surgery will be a success.After this,I’ll make it up to you.I won’t let you suffer again.”Leon promised in earnest.

Julianne ignored him and let the anesthesia needle go into her skin.When the medicine took effect,she only saw the doctor walking toward her with a scalpel.

“Accept your fate.”

These words appeared in her mind.She closed her eyes.She could still feel pain.In the darkness,it felt like she was lying on a chopping board,like a fish waiting to be killed,with no power to resist.

When she woke up again,her body felt terrible.She looked at the ugly scar on her stomach and clenched her fists.

Leon came to comfort her.“The surgery was successful.Rest for two more days and you’ll be fine.Thank you for your hard work,Jullie.”

Julianne turned her head away and avoided his touch.Her voice was very low,almost like a whisper.“I will never let you two go.”

Leon heard it,but thought she was just angry.So,he smiled.“Fine,you won’t let me go.Then we’ll be tied together for life.Even if we die,we’ll be a ghost couple.”

He had already decided.He would keep his promise and live properly for Julianne from now on.

Leon didn’t expect that he would break his promise so soon.

Silvana threatened to die and forced him to marry her.“It’s just a fake wedding for us.Ms.Julianne will let us be.This is my last wish.After the wedding,I’ll leave the Great Capitol and never bother you again.”

Seeing Silvana crying with full sorrow,Leon softened.He wanted to talk to Julianne about it,but he couldn’t bring himself to do that.

He took Julianne for a walk to buy himself time.

In the end,Julianne became impatient.“Leon,what do you want?”

“Sorry,Jullie.Silvana wants to marry me and I agreed.”Leon finally said it.

“I know this is unfair to you,but Silvana is really pitiful don't you think?Just treat it as fulfilling her last wish,okay?”

After saying this,Leon prepared himself for a huge scolding.

He thought Julianne would cry,get angry,or even ask for a divorce,just like the previous times.But none of that happened.

Julianne only nodded calmly.“Do whatever you want.”

Something felt wrong.Leon suddenly stood up.“Jullie,why aren’t you angry?You should be angry!I’m going to marry another woman!”

Julianne felt it was funny.So funny that she felt ironically sad.

“Is there any point in being angry?If I get angry,will you not get married?Will you stop hurting me?”

“We’re adults,Leon.Please be more mature.”

After that,Julianne didn’t look at him anymore.She focused on preparing materials for her company’s publication meeting in seven days.

Leon laughed in anger.“Julianne,are you serious?If you really don’t care,then I’ll marry Silvana without worries.Don’t you dare regret it!”

With that,Leon left.

He went back to Silvana and discussed the wedding date.

“I know Ms.Jullie won’t be happy.Even if she agreed now,she might regret it later.Why don’t we get married tomorrow,so she wouldn't stop us?”

Leon frowned.“Tomorrow…?”

The day after tomorrow was the company’s listing day.This company was built with Julianne’s support and even the biggest shareholder was her grandfather.

If they found out he was marrying another woman tomorrow,would it affect anything?

But Leon comforted himself.Julianne loved him so much that she even gave up her top position for him.It was just a fake wedding.She wouldn’t really be angry.

“Fine.Tomorrow.”

Silvana finally smiled in satisfaction.She held Leon’s arm happily.“Then this afternoon,come with me to choose a wedding dress.Ms.Jullie has been married before,she has experience.Why don’t we bring her too?”

“No way,”Leon refused immediately.“If she sees you in a wedding dress,she will definitely make a scene.”

Silvana didn’t care.“Lee,why are you so worried now?We're just choosing a dress not anything else.Ms.Jullie won’t be angry.”

“I can also explain to her that our wedding is really just a fake wedding.Then you two won’t argue again.”

Leon knew Silvana’s excuse was weak.However,when he remembered how Julianne calmly said she didn’t care at all,a strange anger rose in his heart.He wanted to see if Julianne truly didn’t care about him anymore.

“Fine.I’ll take her along to choose your dress.”

Then Leon immediately sent a message to Julianne.

Leon:[Jullie,get ready.This afternoon,go with Silvana to choose a wedding dress.The two of us will get married tomorrow.]

When Julianne saw this message,she froze.She couldn’t believe Leon really said that to her.

[Stop being ridiculous!You can get married whenever you want.I won’t stop you.But you want me,your wife,to go with you to choose a wedding dress for another woman?]

Julianne did not tell Leon that she had already asked for a divorce.Still,she was very angry.

She felt Leon did not treat her like a person.In his heart,she was only a tool to make Silvana happy.He could hurt her anytime.But now,Julianne did not want to play his game.

Leon replied quickly.[Jullie,don’t make trouble.This is really the last time I hurt you.I promise.]

[You have been married before.You have experience.What’s wrong with helping Silvana?]

Julianne was shaking with anger.Unfortunately,she had no choice.Blue Tech would go public in two days.She could not let anything go wrong before that.

In the afternoon,Leon came to pick up Julianne.Seeing her sad face,Leon felt something strange.He thought that Julianne was still jealous.He wished that it was a sign she still cared about him.

When they got to the car,Julianne sat in the back seat.She did not sit in the front.

Leon was surprised,but Silvana quickly sat in the front seat.“Jullie is so kind.She knows I feel sick in cars.She saved the front seat for me.Thank you.”

Julianne made a cold humm and said nothing.

Leon drove very fast.Soon they arrived at the wedding shop.

Julianne sat on the sofa and stared at her phone.Meanwhile,Leon stayed with Silvana and chose wedding dresses.They touched each other on purpose.Despite all that,Julianne kept on ignoring them.

Silvana said,“Jullie,can you take a photo for us?Like a wedding photo.”

Leon also said,“Come on.It’s just some photos.Nothing too hard.”

Julianne was very annoyed but she took a few photos anyway.“Is this enough?Do you want a video too?”

Leon became angry.“It’s just a few photos.Why so sarcastic?”

He bought the wedding clothes right in front of her before leaving with Silvana,leaving her alone.

Julianne watched their car leave while a smile grew on her lips.She did not feel angry.Instead,she was happy they were gone.She called Tiana and soon her bestfriend came to pick her up.

Once settled,Julianne blocked all Leon’s contact information.From now on,she and Leon had nothing to do with each other.

After driving for one kilometer,Leon decided turned back.“This place is far from the main city.It’s hard to get a taxi.I will go back and take Jullie.”

He felt a little sorry.He thought that maybe Julianne would forgive him after coming to pick her up.

But when he went back,Julianne was gone.He called her.He sent messages.Soon,he knew Julianne had blocked him.

Leon finally panicked.He realized,that he truly had lost Julianne.
