Chapter 2
PRICILLA
“Elena!” Myron's voice came through.
I swirled around to see his eyes burning with fury as he stared at me.
“Myron… I –”
My words were cut off by a resounding slap as I clutched my cheeks in pain.
“Myron! You slapped me?” I croaked out, my voice breaking at the end.
“I'll do worse if anything happens to Elena, " he hissed at me.
Then he brushed past me as he ran toward Elena. He carried her up bridal style and zoomed out of the office whispering soothing words to her.
I followed him trying to explain myself but he didn't even spare me a glance, he fixed Elena on the front seat and just as I was about to open the passenger's seat, he zoomed off, leaving me sprawled on the ground.
My face was flushed with embarrassment, few of his employees were gathered and some were speaking in hush tones. I took the last strength in me hailed a cab and went back home.
Tears wouldn't stop rolling down my cheeks as I watched the home we built and lived in for six years crumble before me. My life was no longer the same.
Everywhere felt empty just like my heart. My mind kept going back to the last scene, I was hurt that Myron didn't even ask me what happened he just assumed that I hurt Elena.
"I'm so f***ing done!" I muttered between sobs.
I yanked the wardrobe door and packed all my clothes. Within in knee I would have stayed if Alpha Myron gave me the assurance I was hoping he would. My aim was not to get in a fight with Elena, it was to talk things out with Myron.
But now, it is clear that Alpha Myron's heart is no longer with me. "You deserve better, Pricilla," the little wolf inside me comforted.
There was absolutely no point clinging to the illusion that our marriage will return to how it was when everything seemed to have faded into oblivion.
I was halfway done with my suitcase when the door opened and Myron barged in, his face red with anger.
“Come,” he said, yanking my arm.
I freed my arm from his grip, "What for? Let me go!"
“You're coming with me this instant!” he snapped.
“Where are you dragging me to?” I groaned, resisting.
Myron was stronger and more powerful than me. The once sweet and soft Alpha was now cold and arrogant towards me.
“To the hospital. It's your fault she's unconscious, you'll have to save her,” Myron said.
“Save her? I didn't do anything to her. She fell down herself,” I tried to defend myself.
“That's enough, Pricilla!” he yelled at me, “Do you know you nearly killed Elena? How evil can you be? You must save her, or I won't let you go unscathed."
“But... I-”
“Shut it!” he snapped. I could tell how bitter he was towards me.
“You don't even want to hear my own side of the story?” I asked.
“What's there to say? Everyone heard Elena screaming. I heard it too, you should have listened to her pleas but no, all you wanted was to kill her! ” Alpha Myron snapped again.
He pushed me into the car and got in. As he drove, the reality of the whole scenario struck me hard, Elena knew what she was doing and she set me up real good. A bitter smile played across my lips as I realized that even my mate whom I've built life together with didn't even believe me.
We got to the hospital and Myron dragged me out. Reluctantly, I followed him to the intensive care unit where Elena lay unconsciously. I glared at her with spite.
"You care about her so much, save her!" I spilled glaring defiantly at Myron.
"You'll do the job." Was all he said.
The doctor arrived and Myron gestured toward me.
“Doctor, she's O+ please use her to save Elena,” Jacob pleaded.
My heart sank. For the past three years, Myron's look has always been cold towards me I can't recall the last time he looked at me with care the way he did to Elena.
The nurses took me away and injected me with something that made me drift out of consciousness.
When I opened my eyes, everywhere was so bright. My head was spinning and my stomach hurt badly. I groaned trying to sit up, I looked around but didn't see anyone in the room.
“Anyone there?” I called out.
The door opened and Myron glared at me, “You’re lucky, Elena survived.”
I scoffed, “Instead of asking how I'm doing?”
“Why should I care?" He snapped at me.
The doctor walked in staring sympathetically at me. He's a friend to Alpha Myron and I could tell from his look that he was displease. "Something's wrong," my wolf called out.
“Alpha, don't you care about your wife?” the doctor asked.
Myron glanced at me, "Not in my dreams!" He said and walked away. His words pierced my heart like an arrow.
“I have some news, Luna..."
"Call me Pricilla." I urged the doctor who had a confused look on his face, “What’s wrong?” I queried.
“During our tests, we found out you were down with fibroid and a month pregnancy,” the doctor said.
I frowned, “Were?”
“In an attempt to save you during the blood transfusion, you lost the baby, but you'll need surgery to take off the fibroid."
My wolf yelped.
The world spun as I stared at him, “Why… Why did you draw blood when I was pregnant?” I asked my lips trembling.
“The Alpha signed it off, there was nothing I could do,” the doctor said.
“Did he… Was he aware?” I asked, my heart racing as I dreaded the answer.
“Yes,” the doctor answered in a low tone. My mind went blank.
Chapter 3
PRICILLA
“Luna?”
The doctor’s voice trailed off as I clutched my stomach in pain, my eyes filled with tears. Myron knows that I've always wanted a baby to call my own, but he cared less about it, he would often tell me not to worry about having a baby yet.
Then when he started seeing Elena we barely had sex, the few times we did was when I force myself on him hoping that one day I would carry his child. Maybe if we had one, he would look at me with love again.
But then he didn't care, he gave an order to kill my child and deprived me of the joy of becoming a mother. Now I understand why he didn't want one even when I pushed for it. Rage filled my heart and I was afraid to give in to the pain because I felt it would break me and I couldn't afford to be any more devastated than I am now.
“Luna, can you hear me?” the doctor’s voice pulled me back to reality.
“That hell bound bastard!” I hissed.
I ripped off the IV that was in my hand and headed out of the ward, my hand bleeding.
“Luna, listen to me, you've lost so much blood. Please come back,” the doctor pleaded, running after me.
“Where is the damned bastard and his whore?” I asked the doctor in a grave tone.
He ignored me, "Luna, please--"
The dead stare I gave him made him pull back off as he pointed to the door opposite, I pushed the door open and pranced into the room to see Myron all lovey lovey with Elena.
“You bloodthirsty monster!” I shrieked.
Before he could speak, I gave him two deafening slap across his face. He was too stunned to say a word and only stared at me.
“That’s for murdering my unborn child!” I yelled at him.
“What's going on, Alpha?” Elena’s voice sounded and it infuriated me.
“You lowlife, this is all your fault!” I screamed, trying to touch her.
But Myron stood protectively over her and pushed me away. I fell to the ground, my stomach hurting as blood trickled down my thighs.
“I hate you!” I screamed at him, tears running down my cheeks.
"You're despicable! I'll not forgive you and your whore for doing this to me."
“Go back to your room, Pricilla, and get cleaned up,” he replied coldly. I could feel the pangs.
“How could you stand there looking okay when you've just killed our child? My child, Myron?” I asked, crying.
“You were the only available donor. Should I have let Elena die instead?” he queried.
“So you decided to sacrifice the life of our child for your whore,” I snapped.
“Don’t talk about Elena that way! Besides, it was just an embryo yet to be formed,” he snapped, “And besides someone like you is not fit to be a mother!”
His words struck me like a thunderbolt and I flinched.
“Come on, Myron, Pricilla is hurting and it’s my fault,” Elena said to Myron who was still standing defensively above her.
I left the room dazed, his cruel words reverberating in my ears.
“I'll make the both of you regret this!” I said to them.
I returned to my room and got cleaned up and treated. Occasionally, my mind would drift into space and tears would flow freely from my eyes even when I tried to hold it back.
I was discharged from the hospital the next day. When I arrived home, Myron wasn't yet back, so I quickly packed my bags, picked up the document that arrived for me in the mail as I completed my packing.
I gave one last look at the document, and I nodded. There was no going back now because in my hands was the divorce papers, I signed on it and left the document on the bed.
Alpha Myron has proven to me in more ways than one that he cared more about Elena than me. There was no coming back from this, not after what he did to me and...
A sob broke out from my throat as I couldn't even bear to say the words. I grabbed my suitcase and left the house.
I got to the airport and checked in. As I waited for my flight to start boarding my phone rang, it was Myron. Reluctantly, I picked up the call.
“What is this nonsense that I'm seeing here, Pricilla? And where the hell are you?” I could tell he was infuriated.
I scoffed, “Sign the divorce papers, Myron. We are done.”
There was a small pause at the end of the phone before his voice sounded again.
“You don't mean that, besides you have nowhere to go. You were rejected by your parents and you're still my Luna. I've been taking care of you all these years. Come back home at once and stop this madness!”
“We'll see about that, Myron,” I replied more calm than ever.
“Pricilla...”
I hung up the phone, placed it on the floor and smashed it. Just then my flight started boarding, I stood up and with a heavy heart, I boarded the flight.
"Well-done, Pricilla," my wolf, Thell said. I could tell how uplifted she felt.
"Let's survive together." I whispered to her.
It’s been six years since I left home. Now, I'm prepared to return home and do everything my parents had wanted me to do before.
I will make those monsters pay for ruining my life and killing my baby!
