Chapter 1

As the daughter of the Silvermane Pack's strongest Alpha, I was born with two enviable protectors.

My brother, Adrian, couldn't bear to see me get a single scratch, and my mate, Liam, couldn't stand to see me shed a single tear.

But at my transformation ceremony, Iris, an exile's daughter, stole the Moon Goddess Potion that was meant for me.

She shifted first, becoming a rare, pure white wolf and capturing the awe of the entire pack.

I only confronted her about it, yet my brother handed me over to enemy rogues as a bargaining chip for a truce.

And my mate used wolfsbane to block my transformation, stealing my last chance to fight back.

With their silent consent, I was tortured by my enemies until death was a mercy.

Before I died, one of the rogues gloated, "So what if your father exiled me? My daughter, Iris, will soon be their Luna. The entire Silvermane Pack will be mine!"

I died, consumed by hatred.

When I opened my eyes again, I was reborn on the day of my transformation ceremony.

Eyeing the preening white wolf before me, I sneered.

"Guards! Shave all her fur!"

When I opened my eyes again, I was reborn on the day of my transformation ceremony.

Eyeing the preening white wolf before me, I sneered.

"Guards! Shave all her fur!"

...

"Damn it, the Moon Goddess Potion is gone!"

I jolted awake to the butler's panicked voice.

The first thing I registered was the familiar scent of my pack. I looked around and saw my own bedroom.

I realized the Moon Goddess had truly given me a second chance, returning me to the day of my transformation ceremony.

My eyes began to sting. I took a deep breath. "Don't panic."

"Bring me the holy water left over from the last full moon festival."

Though I appeared calm on the surface, I clearly remembered my past life.

The missing potion had sent my wolf into a fury, causing me to lose control of my transformation and miss the entire ceremony.

Meanwhile, Iris, the rogue's daughter who had stolen the potion, completed her first transformation flawlessly before the entire pack, shifting into a rare white wolf.

She won everyone's praise, her snow-white fur igniting a possessive fire in the eyes of the pack's males.

Since Iris was the cousin of my mate, Liam, I could only suppress the fury of my Alpha bloodline and warn her with a few words afterward.

Though Iris came from a rogue bloodline, she had exceptional combat skills and had thwarted several threats against the pack.

So Liam made an exception and promoted her to a Beta warrior within our pack.

But I never imagined that for a simple reprimand, my own mate would spike my food with wolfsbane, stripping me of all my power.

And my brother, who had doted on me since childhood, personally handed me over to a rival pack for a political alliance, calling it a truce for the pack's sake.

It was no different from sending me to my death.

I remembered my past life, dying under a rogue's claws as I received the final message from my brother, Adrian, through our mind-link: "Sacrificing your life for the pack's peace is a fitting end for a vicious she-wolf like you."

"You must pay the price for hurting Iris."

The same brother who used to fret over a simple scrape on my skin now completely disregarded my life, letting me suffer at the hands of those savages for three long years.

I finally succumbed and died in the dungeons of the rogue pack.

And I died on the very day my brother and Iris held their grand marking ceremony.

Remembering the humiliation of my past life, the silver wolf within me roared. Any lingering grief or fear was consumed by a bottomless well of rage.

The bonfire in the center of the ceremonial grounds burned brightly.

At this moment, Iris was bathed in a silvery, moon-like glow, transforming into a giant, pure white wolf.

Her pure white fur and her blue eyes, glittering in the darkness, held everyone present in awe.

"A gift from the Moon Goddess! It's the legendary sacred wolf form!"

"A white wolf bloodline... we haven't seen one in a century! She's like the legendary Daughter of the Moon!"

Shouts of praise erupted from the crowd.

I strode into the sacred grounds with the elite guards personally trained by my father.

I let the Alpha authority within me surge, forcing everyone present to bow their heads.

"Iris! You dare steal the Moon Goddess Potion meant for the Alpha bloodline! This is blasphemy against the Goddess herself!"

In this life, I strode toward Iris under the watchful eyes of the pack, a crystal vial of holy water in my hand.

Holy water is the most ancient and sacred relic of the werewolves. It can instantly reveal any disguised transformation, without exception.

This time, Iris had no escape.

I splashed the holy water directly onto her. The clear liquid glittered in the moonlight.

"Since you love performing transformations so much, let me show everyone your true face!"

The moment the holy water touched Iris's skin, the residual wolf fur on her body began to wither and fade. Her once snow-white fur turned a dull gray.

Her aura instantly plummeted to that of the lowest-ranking gray wolf.

I ordered the warriors beside me, "Seize this traitor!"

The guards moved forward, and silver shackles clamped onto the white wolf. Iris was forced back into her human form.

Everyone's gaze fell on me, and without exception, shock flickered in all their eyes.

The truth is, I have never needed the Moon Goddess Potion for my transformation.

As the only daughter of the pack's strongest Alpha, I wasn't just the noblest she-wolf in the entire pack.

I also possess the most noble and secret silver wolf bloodline. It gives me an aura that can bring any lesser wolf to their knees.

In comparison, no matter how she tried to disguise it, the inferior gray wolf bloodline in Iris was pale and weak.

Her noble ceremonial robe and her much-vaunted beauty seemed common and powerless before me.

I just never mentioned it in my past life, all to maintain the pack's stability and balance.

A flash of hatred crossed Iris's eyes, but looking at her own gray fur, tears streamed down her cheeks. "Selene… you actually used black magic on me!"

"How could you use an illusion to tamper with my white wolf bloodline!"

The surrounding pack members began to whisper, some casting doubtful glances.

"Is it really black magic?"

"How could a white wolf turn into a gray one?"

Faced with their doubts, I sneered, and the pressure of my silver wolf erupted from within me.

A powerful force swept through the grounds like a tide, stunning everyone into silence.

"I am the Alpha's daughter, the noblest bloodline of the Silvermane Pack. What need do I have for black magic?"

But Iris had always been skilled at playing the victim.

"Selene, I just wanted to offer a blessing for your coming-of-age ceremony, so I prepared a special transformation performance. I thought the potion was for public use..."

I sneered internally as I walked slowly toward her.

"A half-blood rogue like you could have had your very wolf shattered by forcibly absorbing its power. And you dare claim you didn't know?"

Besides, the holy water merely purified the disguise on you, showing everyone your true gray wolf form."

"Guards!" My voice cut through the whispers. "Shave all her fur and tear off her pack insignia! A traitor who blasphemes against the Goddess and our pack deserves a mark of shame she can never hide!"

The guards moved to obey. Iris shrieked, clutching the insignia desperately.

If it were torn off and she was shaved bare in public, she would never be able to show her face in the pack again.

"Selene, I just used your potion by mistake. Are you trying to kill me over it?"

I raised my hand and slapped Iris across the face.

"You dare to lie to my face. You broke the pack's laws, and you will face the consequences."

"I'd like to see anyone try to touch her!" A familiar voice rang out as my mate, Liam, rushed forward.

He kicked my guard aside and shielded Iris behind him.

His wolf was enraged on Iris's behalf, and his protectiveness over her sent sharp stabs of pain through our mate bond.

"Selene, don't take this too far."

"Iris clearly has a white wolf bloodline. What black magic did you use to turn her into a gray wolf? Undo it at once!"

"You are the Alpha's noblest daughter. You should be more mature and understanding, not use such wicked methods to frame an innocent Beta."

On the surface, Liam maintained a dignified calm, painting me as the unreasonable one.

Just as I was about to retort, his mind-link slammed into my thoughts.

This time, he didn't even bother to pretend.

"You're so spoiled, willful, and jealous, and now you're using black magic to harm people. You're not worthy of being my mate."

"I'll give you one chance. Restore Iris to her white wolf form, and I promise the title of my mate will still be yours."

Chapter 2

In my last life, faced with his threats, I had only given Iris a mild warning to preserve our mate bond.

But even so, Liam still held a grudge against me.

I can still remember the disgust in his amber eyes when I lost all my power and was sent to the rival pack:

"Selene, I've had enough of your arrogance and malice."

"Your banishment is for the good of the pack, and it is no less than you deserve."

Recalling those words, my wolf snarled with pure rage.

I let out a soft laugh, my eyes glowing with a silver light in the moonlight.

"You want me to restore her? She was a gray wolf to begin with!"

I tilted my head, my voice dripping with scorn. "And who do you think you are to order me around?"

Liam recoiled as if struck, his face contorting with shock and anger.

"Selene, have you lost your mind? We're marked mates! How can you speak to me this way?"

"Your bloodline may be noble, but with such barbaric behavior and wicked methods, how will you ever earn the pack's trust? How can you be a proper mate?"

"I am the daughter of the Alpha, heiress to the most honored bloodline in the Silvermane Pack. And she," I pointed at Iris, "is nothing but a mongrel who stinks of rogue filth."

"She stole the potion and faked being a white wolf. Now that I've shown you the truth, you dare to blame me?"

Without looking at Liam, I gestured, and my guards forced him to the ground.

He glared at me, his inner wolf struggling to break free in his eyes.

I could feel the turmoil in Liam's heart; he had already considered severing our mate bond.

The excruciating pain of his rejection washed over me through the bond, but my silver wolf bloodline allowed me to endure it.

Besides, this pain was nothing in comparison to the daily torture I suffered in the dungeons in my past life.

I stepped on his shoulder, the boots of my Silvermoon armor pressing down, forcing him to bow.

Liam's body began to swell, his muscles tensing.

"Liam, being my mate is your honor. Don't forget your place."

I pulled a silver dagger from a guard's belt, its blade gleaming coldly.

"You think I'm making a scene? Fine. Then let's speak the language of pack law."

"Stealing an Alpha's sacred artifact is treason," I announced, "Today, I will shatter her wolf spirit and cast her out as a rogue. She will be exiled, forever cut off from the pack. Does anyone object?"

Silence fell over the crowd.

Faced with the crime of treason, no one dared to plead for her.

Iris's face turned white as a sheet. "No... No, I didn't... I just wanted to..."

"The evidence is irrefutable. Do you still dare to deny it?"

I raised the dagger, the tip of the blade aimed at her heart.

I could feel the potion's power still flowing within her, a desecration of its sacred aura.

Just as the dagger was about to descend, a silver arrow shot through the air.

Its tip struck the blade with perfect accuracy, and the force knocked the dagger from my hand.

The arrowhead grazed the back of my hand. The burning sting of silver instantly broke my skin, and blood dripped onto the stones below.

"Stop!"

A familiar voice thundered, laced with the authority of the future Alpha.

It was my brother, Adrian.

He strode forward, the silver bow in his hand still trembling, its arrowhead stained with my blood.

"Brother, what do you think you're doing?"

I demanded, fighting through the pain as cold sweat beaded on my brow.

Adrian came to stand before me, his voice as cold as ice:

"I should be asking you the same thing. Today is your transformation ceremony, the most important day of your life, and what are you doing? Making a scene?"

"You're a disgrace to our Alpha family!"

The wolf inside me erupted in fury.

Growing up, not even our father had dared to lay a finger on me, yet my own brother had just wounded me for a lowly rogue.

If that arrow had been off by a fraction of an inch, my hand would have been crippled.

Chapter 3

"Making a scene? Brother, I've always known you were close to that rogue. But you aren't even mates. Are you really going to trample on pack law for her?"

Having struck a nerve, Adrian raised a hand to strike me.

"Selene! My relationship with Iris is platonic! We are packmates who fight side by side! Stop spouting nonsense and trying to ruin her reputation!"

I sidestepped his slap, watching him with cold eyes.

"Brother, you shot me with an arrow, and now you want to hit me?"

"You'd raise your hand against your own sister for a rogue mongrel?"

Adrian's face flushed red, and he bristled. "Selene, don't be so crude."

"Iris is not a mongrel. Her father was once a warrior of our pack!"

"And she's clearly a white wolf! How could you be so vicious as to use black magic to turn her into a gray wolf?"

The irony was thick. To clear Iris's name, my brother would stop at nothing.

"Was? Then why was he exiled? For betraying the pack!"

"And by stealing the Moon Goddess Potion and faking being a white wolf, she has committed betrayal as well! Brother, you know our laws, yet you shelter a traitor!"

Adrian's eyes turned completely gold as his wolf broke through to the surface.

"Shut your mouth!"

"Since you clearly have no respect for this ceremony, then we won't have one at all!"

He slammed his fist into a nearby stone pillar.

With a deafening crack, the ancient ceremonial pillar fractured on impact, sending stone fragments flying.

The onlookers cried out and scattered.

Adrian didn't stop. He began to frantically destroy the ceremonial grounds.

The altar was overturned, the sacred fire was kicked apart, and the moonstones were crushed underfoot.

"Everyone get out! The ceremony is canceled!"

"And another thing, if I hear anyone whisper a single rumor that slanders Iris after today, I will not be lenient!"

I looked at the ruined ceremonial grounds, my heart feeling like it was being sliced to pieces.

I had prepared for this ceremony for three months.

I poured my heart and soul into every detail.

The holy water for the Moon Goddess was spilled on the ground, and the precious silver dust lost its luster in the moonlight.

Everything was ruined.

The pain in my heart was so sharp I could barely breathe, and tears streamed uncontrollably from my eyes.

He wasn't just destroying my ceremony; he was shredding my dignity as an Alpha's daughter.

In my last life, because of Iris, I missed my chance to awaken my silver wolf.

In this life, my own brother had destroyed my coming-of-age ceremony with his own hands.

Watching Adrian's frenzied state, my heart turned completely cold.

He couldn't beat me in combat training, he couldn't match me in pack administration, and his wolf even awakened a full two years later than mine.

But because of the traditions of the werewolf packs, everyone just assumed he would be the next Alpha.

In my past life, after Adrian took over as Alpha, his poor judgment and Iris's manipulations led the pack into one disastrous war after another.

The Silvermane Pack was nearly destroyed within five years of my death.

All those once-loyal warriors, those innocent pack members, died because of his incompetent leadership.

In this life, I will never let the pack fall into anyone else's hands. The Alpha position will be mine!

"That's enough, Adrian!" I roared.

But he had lost all reason and continued his destruction.

Only when the sacred grounds were in ruins did he stop.

Adrian turned to look at me, his eyes filled with hatred.

"Selene, you've enjoyed the privileges of the Alpha bloodline your whole life, getting everything you've ever wanted. And now, over a single potion, you're going to use black magic to destroy Iris?"

"Can't you stand to see someone stronger than you?"

I wiped the tears from the corners of my eyes and turned to face him directly.

"Iris was the one who faked her identity and stole a sacred pack artifact. How did this become my fault?"

"Whether you admit it or not, the fact is you used black magic to deliberately harm Iris."

"I am now ordering you, in my capacity as the future Alpha, to be thrown in the dungeons! A dangerous person like you who knows black magic cannot be allowed to remain in the pack!"

Hearing the order, the guards hesitated.

"What, are you defying my orders?"

Adrian was resolute, and two guards seized my arms.

"I told you I didn't frame her! She was a gray wolf to begin with! I didn't use any black magic! I will never admit to something I didn't do!"

"Silence!" Adrian kicked me in the back of the knee.

I gritted my teeth against the pain, refusing to yield.

"You're malicious and jealous! Just because Iris shifted before you, you tried to kill her!"

"Are you even worthy of being the Alpha's daughter?"

"Haha!" I laughed, retorting instantly, "Adrian, are you worthy of being the next Alpha?"

Adrian flew into a complete rage, raising his hand to strike me again.

Suddenly, an authoritative voice boomed from the distance, "What is all this noise!"

A tall figure strode forward, his powerful Alpha presence instantly silencing the chaos.

"My daughter is a once-in-a-century prodigy! How could she possibly be jealous of that mongrel?"

"She revealed her noble silver wolf form, which is the very pinnacle of our bloodline, to me long ago!"

"Why the hell would she need some damn potion?"
