Chapter 2

"This is what I told you, Jemima's precious daughter! I spent three years chasing her mother, but it only took me three seconds to chase her." Mike said proudly as his hand slid to my back.

I felt sick in my stomach. I kept smiling and let him show off his trophy in front of everyone. Compared to my father's medical expenses and my son's surgery expenses, these humiliations were nothing.

I gently wiped the wine stains from the corners of his mouth with my sleeve and chuckled, "The doctor told you to stop drinking, so just think of it for my sake."

The soft light in my eyes made him stop thinking about humiliating me in public and he poured me three glasses of wine.

"I told you to arrive in a quarter of an hour, why are you late? Hurry up and apologize to the bosses, otherwise your leave tonight will be invalid." He said coldly.

If I hadn't run into Isaac at the door, I wouldn't be late. From coaxing my son to sleep to rushing over with a high fever, I calculated every second was a penny.

Although Mike was nearly fifty years old, he couldn’t fall asleep without tossing and turning for a day, unless I was sick. But today, I asked him for leave and he put forward these conditions. If I didn’t coax him well, I would definitely not be able to sleep tonight.

I ignored Isaac's secretive eyes, picked up the three glasses of white wine in front of me and drank them all. After three glasses of strong liquor, my stomach churned. My body couldn't stand the high fever at all. My throat was burning and my eyes went dark.

"Sorry, I'm going to the bathroom." I turned around and stumbled into the bathroom, vomiting violently.

Alcohol mixed with stomach acid burned my throat and tears flowed out uncontrollably.

I held the edge of the sink tightly and looked at myself in the mirror, my face was pale, but my lips were abnormally red due to the high fever and the broken hair on my forehead was soaked with cold sweat and stuck to my cheeks.

My face was really ugly. I scooped up cold water and slapped it hard on my face, trying to sober myself up.

"Your mother hates mistresses the most in her life. Does she know that you are so cheap to be a mistress now?" A cold voice came from behind me and I met Isaac's sarcastic eyes in the mirror.

He leaned against the door, dressed in a suit and leather shoes, with an indifferent look, as if he was just watching a joke.

I pulled the corners of my mouth, didn't answer and continued to lower my head to rinse my mouth.

Seeing that I didn't speak, he walked closer with a sneer, "What? Are you mute?"

"Isn't this exactly what you want?" I answered whatever he wanted to hear.

Now I had lost my former pride.

Isaac's eyes suddenly sank, mixed with surprise.

Facing these cold eyes, the nightmare wedding five years ago reappeared.

His assistant Julia threw the marriage certificate in my face, calling me a mistress, the guests in the audience pointed and talked, my mother fell to the ground on the spot and my father slapped me in the face...

And Isaac stood in the middle of the crowd, watching all this indifferently. He hated me. Because he believed that it was my mother who forced his childhood sweetheart, Bella and her mother to death.

But it was Bella's mother who interfered in other people's marriages. When the mistress took away the first wife's property, my mother, as a lawyer, helped the first wife win the lawsuit and get back what belonged to her.

It was also Bella's mother who was unwilling to accept this and took her to jump off the building, hoping to force the scumbag to change his mind. As a result, she slipped and fell from the building and both mother and daughter died.

Isaac didn't believe it and couldn't accept this fact. He stubbornly believed that it was my mother who forced them to death. So, he deliberately approached me, tricked me into a secret marriage and then humiliated me in public at the wedding, destroying my whole family.

"Suzy, how did your mother teach you?"

Chapter 3

"Mike can be your father and you are so cheap that you go to be his mistress?" He stared at me with sarcasm in his eyes.

My mother's death was a hurdle that I would never get over in my heart. My heart seemed to be tightly grasped and I bit my lips tightly to prevent tears from falling.

The mother who was proud of her life and hated mistresses the most was still being scolded for not educating her daughter well and raising a cheap daughter like me.

I took a deep breath, suppressed the sob in my throat and chuckled, "Yes, I am a bitch, otherwise why would I believe your lies and be your mistress for three years?"

Isaac's face sank and just as he was about to speak, my legs suddenly weakened and I almost fell. He subconsciously reached out to support me and his palm touched my hot skin and his face suddenly changed.

"You have a fever?" He asked with his face sank.

I pushed him away and barely stood up, "It's none of your business."

He pulled me and wanted to take me to the hospital. I struggled hard, but I couldn't get rid of his iron-like hand.

"Let go! Mr. Ross is still waiting for me, I don't have time to play with you." I struggled hard.

Isaac's eyes were filled with rage and before he could get angry, the bathroom door was suddenly pushed open.

"Oh, Mr. Giordano is interested in my little lover?" it was Mike.

Mike leaned against the door frame drunkenly, his eyes swept back and forth between me and Isaac and his smile was meaningful.

Isaac glanced at him coldly without letting me go and said, "She has a fever."

Mike sneered, "She is my woman, is it your turn to worry about her?"

He came over and pulled me into his arms to claim his sovereignty. "Let's go back and continue drinking."

I endured the discomfort and left with him obediently, but Isaac suddenly said, "Mike, bullying the daughter of your former sweetheart, is this what you call love?"

My mind was dazed and I didn't understand what Isaac meant for a while. He forced my mother to death and destroyed my family, but now he sympathized with me?

Mike narrowed his eyes and spoke in a bad tone. "Mr. Giordano, it's meaningless for you to say this, right?"

Isaac ignored him and reached out to pull me into his arms, "She has a fever like this and you still let her drink? Mr. Ross, drinking is fun, but it's not good to cause a death."

Mike's face changed and he obviously realized that I was not in a good state.

But he soon sneered again, "Why, Mr. Giordano, are you feeling sorry for her? It wasn't like this when you stepped on her in the mud!"

Isaac didn't answer and dragged me out directly. I struggled and he picked me up horizontally.

Mike cursed behind me, but Isaac didn't even look back. I was hot all over and I didn't even have the strength to struggle, so I could only let him stuff me into the car.

Mike took advantage of his unpreparedness and got into the car, sitting in the passenger seat, with a cold tone, "Mr. Giordano, where are you going to take my woman?"

Isaac ignored his deliberately aggravated tone and said lightly, "If she is burned stupid, it will be meaningless for you to play with her."

Mike snorted and didn't say anything else.

The car drove in the night and there was silence in the car.

Until Isaac asked me, "Where is the child buried? I want to see him."

My heart shrank suddenly and my nails pinched into my palms. He thought Boby was dead.

Five years ago, after the wedding farce, I gave birth to a boy prematurely, but Isaac didn't even bother to look at him.

Later, he destroyed everything I had and I left with Boby, who had a congenital heart disease. Everyone thought the child didn't survive. I didn't want Isaac to know that Boby was still alive.

Chapter 4

"No need. He doesn't deserve a father like you."

To be precise, it's Isaac who didn’t deserve to be the father of my child. If it weren't for the premature birth, Boby's heart disease wouldn't be so serious.

Isaac slammed on the brakes and his hands holding the steering wheel suddenly tightened and his knuckles turned white.

Mike's head was almost hit and he sneered coldly, "Mr. Giordano, the baby is dead, why are you pretending to have a deep father-son relationship?"

Isaac ignored him, got out of the car, pulled Mike down with brute force and threw him on the ground and then drove away.

Only Isaac and I were left in the car.

The shadows of the trees on the side quickly retreated and the air was so stagnant that it was suffocating. Fortunately, we arrived at the hospital soon.

After seeing the doctor, I didn't wait for him to get the medicine and I walked out of the hospital to take a taxi.

As soon as the online car arrived, he rudely closed the door and drove away the driver.

Isaac sneered at me, "Are you so anxious to go back and can’t wait to serve him? Suzy, how low can you go?"

I didn’t know how low I could go. I only knew that on the wedding day, my life had fallen into darkness forever.

A mistress who was like a rat crossing the street, no degree and couldn’t find a job to support the family. The savings accumulated by my parents were squandered in just one year.

Everything that could be sold was already sold, but it still couldn't pay the high medical expenses. I also thought about dying with my father and son.

But at the last moment, Mike found out that I wanted to die and offered to support me. He said that only when people were alive could there be hope.

In fact, I had no hope, but the child who was connected to me by blood should not be abandoned. My father, who was implicated by me, should not be deprived of the right to live.

For their medical expenses, I hesitated for only three seconds before agreeing to be Mike's mistress.

I looked up at Isaac and curled my lips slightly, "Didn't Mr. Giordano know this a long time ago? I have always been so cheap."

In the past, I fell in love with Isaac, but only ended up in hell forever. Later, I became a mistress for someone else and I felt it was worth it to exchange for three lives.

Even though Mike always had a bad mouth, he gave me more than he promised. For this reason, I was grateful to him. As for what he wanted to seek from me, I no longer cared. Those days and nights of sex, I self-abusely believed that they were atonement.

Even Mike laughed at me and my mother would be angry with me and resurrect sooner or later. I even fantasized that if I was more humble, would my mother really come back to life? Then Dad would definitely wake up, instead of lying in bed like a living dead.

After the wedding, the revenge methods were coming one after another, which made our family overwhelmed. If it weren't for the sudden heart attack, Mom would definitely be able to prove my innocence, but unfortunately there was no if in this life.

Isaac looked at me calmly, his eyes were full of emotions and finally he sneered and let go of my hand, "Get lost!"

I turned and got on a taxi to go home.

Rushing into the room, I saw Boby's face flushed, his breathing was rapid and his small body was terribly hot.

"Mom, I feel uncomfortable..." he gritted his teeth, feeling cold.

I trembled and picked up Boby, comforting him while calling 120 in a panic.

The ambulance roared away from the community and I didn't notice that in the black car parked on the side of the road, Isaac was staring at the direction of the ambulance with a dark look in his eyes.

Fortunately, after rescue, Boby was out of danger.

But it was only temporarily out of danger and the situation was extremely unstable. The doctor said that surgery must be performed as soon as possible.

Faced with the surgery fee of at least $50000, I was full of bitterness and called Mike.
