Chapter 5
I wanted to call the police, but Nina is so sensitive.
If I reported it, others would find out, and she wouldn't be able to handle it.
So I endured it, waiting for the right moment to take that beast down.
But before I could act, he did something even worse.
I saw a video online of my daughter being bullied.
In my own house, in my daughter's bedroom.
She was screaming in pain.
Her face was clearly visible.
Her face was full of tears.
And that beast? His face was blurred out, completely unrecognizable.
With bloodshot eyes, I stormed into Liam's training center.
I grabbed his collar.
"Liam, did you see that? This is the person you brought into Nina's life!"
His face turned ashen.
"What's wrong with you now?"
I threw my phone at him, thinking he'd be just as furious as me.
But after just one glance, he turned to question me instead.
"How do you even raise your daughter, to let something like this happen?"
I grabbed a nearby chair and smashed it against him.
"Liam, is Nina not your daughter? Don't you care about her at all?"
"Just because he's Maya's son, and you like Maya, you're willing to give our daughter to that beast?"
He slapped me.
"Stop talking nonsense."
"Nonsense? Liam, can't you see? Can't you see our daughter being abused?"
"Can't you see what that beast has done?"
Finally, Liam looked at the video again, showing a hint of emotion.
The office door opened, and Maya walked in with that beast, as if she owned the place.
Chapter 6
"Liam, I brought Alex. Come quickly and..."
She saw the angry me, and of course I saw that vicious beast.
I lunged at him, landing a kick that nearly knocked him down.
The beast clutched his stomach.
"Uncle, Auntie's gone crazy again! She's trying to hit me!"
Maya rushed to help him, while Liam grabbed me and slapped me hard on both sides of my face.
"Monica, how could you be so cruel? How could you even hit a child?"
I spat in Liam's face.
"A child? Liam, is Nina not a child? Tell me, is she not your child?"
He remained silent and closed his mouth.
But Maya began shouting at me.
"Monica, what gives you the right to hit my son?"
What right? She dared to ask me that?
I shoved the video in Maya's face.
"What right? You tell me, what gives me the right?"
Maya glanced at my phone, then at that beast.
Finally, she flinched, offering a half-hearted apology.
"Alex, apologize to Aunt."
The beast mumbled reluctantly.
"Auntie, I really do like Nina, but I wasn't the one who posted that video."
If I believed him, I'd be worse than trash. No one else was in my daughter's room that day but him.
Only him!
I picked up another chair from the office, but before I could smash it down, Liam snatched it away.
"Enough, Monica! Enough already. Why are you making such a big deal out of something between kids?"
I slapped him across the face.
"Let me ask you, who's really your child? Nina or this beast?"
"I told you to stop saying nonsense! Blowing this up like this—what good will it do for Nina? You're only going to ruin both kids."
"That's right, Monica. They're just kids. They make mistakes sometimes, but they can be forgiven."
"Exactly, don't hold onto this one mistake forever. They're about the same age—why not let them just get married?"
"That won't do. Who knows if she's even good enough for my son?"
What the hell!
Unbelievable! Liam really was trash.
At a time like this, all he could think about was marrying Nina off to that monster.
As if anyone would want to be tied to that criminal.
I grabbed the ashtray and smashed it onto the beast's head.
Blood started pouring down from his forehead.
Maya and Liam quickly grabbed him and rushed him to the hospital.
I looked at these people—they were all insane, all monsters, completely devoid of humanity.
I thought, once I punished that beast, I'd take my daughter far away from all this filth and start fresh.
Chapter 7
But when I got home, the house was dark, not a single light on.
It was eerily quiet.
A strong sense of dread gripped me.
I ran into Nina's bedroom and turned on the light. She wasn't there.
The bed was neatly made.
She wasn't in the living room, the study, or my bedroom.
Finally, with trembling hands, I opened the bathroom door.
I lost my mind. In that moment, I truly lost my mind.
My daughter's fragile body lay in the bathtub, a long gash running down her arm, blood still flowing out.
The entire tub was filled with blood.
There she was...
Soaking in the blood.
Pale face, purple lips.
I held her tightly, screaming her name at the top of my lungs.
"Nina! My daughter! Nina!"
But there was no breath left in her.
My daughter died, but my husband asked me to apologize to the murderer.
Her body was cold.
I cried hysterically, trying to warm her body in my arms.
She was my daughter, the daughter I gave birth to after ten months of pregnancy.
The one I cherished and cared for every moment.
My daughter, who was always on my mind.
And now, she lay there in a pool of her own blood.
Next to the bathtub, her phone was still open.
The video that filled me with rage was playing, the screen flooded with hateful comments attacking my daughter.
They were mocking her, taunting her.
Some even envied that beast.
Some people even wanted that scum to introduce my daughter to them.
All kinds of horrible things were said.
My precious child... she must have seen all of this. That was why she couldn't bear it anymore.
I grabbed her phone, fighting back the fury inside me.
I called Liam. After all, he was her father.
"Liam, Nina... she..."
"Don't mention that disgrace to me! She's brought shame to us all, and now she's dragged Alex down with her!"
"If you still have any sense, bring her to Alex's house to apologize. She's the reason he can't even eat right now."
"He's locked himself in his room and hasn't come out for hours. If anything happens to him, you'll be to blame!"
I screamed into the phone, my voice breaking with madness.
"Liam, who is your real child? Who?!"
"I stand for what's right, not for family. Nina seduced Alex, and now he's traumatized. Bring her here to apologize!"
"I'll talk to Maya and Alex about forgiving her."
I clenched the phone so tightly, wishing I could crush Liam through the line.
I said one last thing to him.
"Liam, go to hell. You all should go to hell!"
