Chapter 1 of After Making 100 Million, I Rejected the Ungrateful Family

I was sent to Ancven by the company to work for five years because I took the blame for my sister-in-law, Kayla. I accidentally discovered a rare gem and made one hundred million dollars after selling it.

After returning home, I found out that my family had changed their address without telling me.

I called my mother, Eliana, but no one answered.

I called my brother, Tom Hart. The call that had been unanswered was finally connected.

Tom said, "Ancven is full of viruses and bacteria. We can't let Serena come back. Don't let my son get sick."

Kayla said, "Looking at the photos in the work group. Serena is now ugly and fat. She must be pregnant."

Tom and Kayla's words were like sharp swords piercing my heart. I was so heartbroken that I couldn't breathe.

I took deep breaths before I calmed down.

I might be cheap. I always felt that there might be some misunderstanding, so I wanted to go and ask them in person.

I hung up the phone call that Tom mistakenly answered, took out ten thousand dollars, found a real estate agent, and quickly found the address of my new home.

When I arrived at the door and just raised my hand to knock, Eliana called me. She tentatively asked me if I had called Tom and what I had heard.

I didn't say anything. I just knocked on the door hard. Eliana opened the door with a look of surprise. And I took the opportunity to squeeze in.

As soon as I came in, I saw a kid rushing towards me and hitting me again and again. "Bad woman! Bad woman! Don't come to my house! Don't come to my house!"

This was my nephew, Jacob.

If I hadn't taken the blame, Jacob would have been born in prison.

He hit me on the thigh. It hurt, so I pushed him away.

After all, he was a delicate child. I just used a little strength. Jacob fell to the ground and started crying loudly.

Eliana, who came hurriedly, didn't even look at me. She held Jacob and coaxed him patiently.

Tom rushed out and pushed me hard. "Stay away from my son! You are full of viruses!"

Kayla pinched her nose and gritted her teeth. "People who have been touched by foreigners are disgusting! They stink!

"Get out of my house now! As the master, I order you to get out now!"

I watched all this in shock. Eliana, Tom and Kayla looked so strange and terrifying.

The questions of why they didn't answer my call and why they didn't tell me the address of my new home were all stopped.

Five years ago, Kayla made a mistake at work. The company wanted to put her in jail. I felt sorry for her because she was pregnant, so I took the blame for her, and the company sent me to Ancven.

In the past five years, I had worked diligently to complete multiple projects, recovered losses, and made up for my mistakes.

I transferred money to Eliana on time every month, hoping that the three could live a better life, so that all the suffering I had endured would not be in vain.

Half a year ago, Eliana told me that Jacob was about to go to elementary school and needed a house, but she didn't have enough money. Without hesitation, I transferred two million dollars to them so that they could buy a house.

But in the end, they used my money but wanted to kick me out. They also looked down on me because I had been to Ancven, insulted me for changing, and engaged in regional discrimination.

I looked at Eliana. Her eyes were evasive. She lowered her head and continued to coax Jacob who was still choking.

That was right. From the time Eliana didn't answer my calls to the time she called me to test me before I came here, it all showed that she had chosen Tom and Kayla and abandoned me.

My eyes were hurt, and I tried hard not to cry. I questioned Kayla, "Kayla, aren't you ashamed to say that this is your house? This house was bought with the money I earned in the past few years! The reason you can stand here so comfortably now is because I took the blame for you! If it weren't for me, you would have been sent to prison!"

Tom glared at me. "What are you talking about? You just helped Kayla. What's the big deal?"

Kayla sarcastically said, "If it weren't for me, you would not have the opportunity to go to Ancven or have been able to earn so much money."

She stared at my flat belly with disdain. "Oh? You aborted the bastard in your belly? Why didn't you give birth to the child? Don't you want to be a nice person anymore?"

I was wearing loose clothes in the photo posted in the work group that day, and due to the shooting angle, my belly looked obvious, which became the source of Kayla's ridicule.

I was so angry that I wanted to slap Kayla's hypocritical face.

Before I even touched Kayla, Eliana yelled at me to protect her, "Serena! If you dare to hurt Kayla, I will not acknowledge you as my daughter!"

She pointed to the door of the room next to her and said, "That's your room. If you want to live here, stay there. Otherwise, get out!"

I walked over and opened the door. There was a foul smell.

The room was full of miscellaneous items, and there were two hamsters in a cage on the floor.

Eliana didn't look at me, but just said slowly, "This is the house I bought for Tom. There is no room for you. It's good enough that you can live here. After all, I don't know how many viruses you are carrying now."

Tom and Kayla had mocking expressions. And Jacob was eating ice cream and still muttering to me, "Get out."

I took my suitcase and left without looking back.
