Chapter 1
My dad had cancer and my mom had leukemia. On Christmas Eve, they were both critically ill and desperately needed Phil Cooper's special medicine.
But Phil was called by Tina Clark to accompany her daughter.
I rushed to find him, but I had a car accident and miscarried on the way.
My parents passed away before they could get the special medicine.
Tina sent me an intimate photo of her and Phil, with the message: "Ms. Backup, I'm back. You should return Phil to me."
I replied: "If you want, I'll give you him the piece of shit!"

Overnight, I lost my parents who loved me the most.
When dealing with the funeral arrangements, all the relatives were crying, but I remained calm throughout the whole process and didn't shed a single tear.
I couldn't remember how many times Phil had left me to find Tina.
My parents had to be resuscitated within twenty-four hours.
I called Phil every five minutes, but he never answered.
I knelt in front of my parents' tombstone for a long time and I didn't remember how I got home.
I got a severe fever, but Phil didn't even call me.
My body was so weak after the miscarriage that I couldn't even get out of bed.
Phil finally came back, followed by Tina.
She was wearing a bright red windbreaker and leaning against Phil with a sweet smile, like a gorgeous rose.
I said hoarsely, "I called you a lot!"
"Really? Joy Hall had a fever, and Tina and I were taking care of her so that I didn't have time to check my phone!"
Joy Hall was Tina's daughter and had been living with Tina since her divorce.
Tina smiled embarrassedly, "Joy treats Phil as her father. Whenever she is sick, she becomes especially attached to him. Sorry."
So, it was why Phil didn't answer my call.
My parents would never have thought that their lives were so worthless!
Phil handed over the two boxes, "Take them to the hospital for your parents!"
I didn't take them and said calmly, "They don't need them now!"
Tina glanced at me and said softly, "Phil is so good to your parents. You don't know how much effort he put into getting such difficult and expensive medicine. You should cherish him as a good man..."
I interrupted her calmly and turned to look at Phil, "Let's break up! You get out of here with her right now!"
Chapter 2
In order to save my parents, I searched for Phil everywhere, but I had a car accident on the way and miscarried the baby I managed to conceive.
I lost three family members at the same time.
My heart was completely broken.
Phil's face darkened, "Anna Scott, I have come back. Don't make a fuss anymore."
He must be blind, otherwise why didn't he notice that I was like a zombie now? He was still blaming me.
Maybe I had never caught his eyes, let alone his heart.
I suddenly had the strength to throw the medicine to the ground and push them out the door.
Phil scratched the door frame and said impatiently, "Are you through? I've already gave you the special medicine, and what else do you want from me?"
What else did I want from him?
We had been together for six years and I had always had low expectations of him.
Every time Tina needed help, he would always be there. I got angry with him countless times for that, but as long as he called me wife and said that he was wrong, I would calm down immediately.
Every time the special days came, like wedding anniversary, Valentine's Day and my birthday, Tina always had reasons to call him away from me.
He said Tina was an orphan and he was her only friend. She was very poor.
So, as long as he explained, I would definitely forgive him.
I spoiled him and made him think that I had no temper.
I used to be a hedgehog, and in order to become the person he liked, I pulled out my thorns one by one.
Tina said coldly, "Phil, I told you that her parents' illnesses are not that serious, otherwise how could she have time to go home? You were deceived by her!"
I glanced at her and turned to look at Phil, "Do you think so too?"
He moved his lips but said nothing.
I suddenly felt ridiculous. Did it matter what he thought?
Chapter 3
Seeing that I was silent, Tina thought she was right and said to Phil proudly, "See, she is guilty and clearly lied! You rushed back in a hurry, fearing that something might happen to her parents. Maybe it was her parents who taught her to force you to come back..."
I didn't care how she slandered me, but I couldn't stand her mentioning my parents again and again.
Before she could finish her words, I grabbed her collar and slapped her twice.
"You're talking nonsense!"
I used all my strength so that my palm felt slightly numb.
The air was quiet for a few seconds. Tina grabbed Phil's arm and started crying aggrievedly.
"Phil, Anna slapped me. How can you tolerate it? You said you would protect me forever."
There was sympathy in his eyes. He turned to me with a gloomy face.
"Anna, are you crazy?"
I laughed, "Yes, I am crazy!"
Tina cried hysterically, "She's going too far! Teach her a lesson!"
As she said that, she pushed Phil hard.
He gritted his teeth, and the veins were popping out on his forehead. Then he said, "Apologize!"
"You don't dare to hit her, right? I know it! Her parents have helped you. No matter how crazy she gets, you can endure it."
Tina kept fanning the flames.
With a snap,
Phil slapped me to the ground.
Strangely, I didn't feel any pain at all!
I looked at him blankly, and the scene when we first met suddenly flashed through my mind.
When I first entered university, I saw the handsome young man at first sight.
I fell madly in love with him.
After he broke up with Tina, I accompanied him through his darkest times.
My parents sponsored him to finish college and also gave him a lot of help in the early stages of his business. He promised them personally that he would treat me well in his life.
How romantic it was in the beginning, and how unbearable it was now.
At first I didn't think he was a gentle person, but later I gradually realized that his gentleness was only given to Tina.
I wanted to have a child, but he said that children were too troublesome and he didn't want for the time being. He didn't have the energy.
But when Tina took her daughter back, he was very fond of her daughter. He would accompany Tina and her daughter to the amusement park every now and then, and his phone was full of their photos.
I didn't allow him to go, He said I was stingy and couldn't even tolerate a child.
Tina wanted to work in his company, and he immediately arranged a vice president position for her.
The two of them were always together, just like a couple in love.
I asked Phil to fire Tina, but he got furious and said I was unreasonable.
He came home less and less often, and even lied to me that he was on a business trip. I saw him and Tina taking her daughter out more than once, and they were as harmonious and sweet as a family.
Once when I ran into him face to face, he simply said casually, "Tina's daughter likes me too much, and I can't bear to reject her!"
The person he couldn't bear to reject was Joy or Tina? I didn't want to go into it any further.
I became more and more disappointed and unhappy, but Phil didn't care at all.
