Chapter 1

Three years after I died, the house suddenly began to leak rain.

Taking advantage of showing up in a dream, I watched my husband, Caleb Moore, lead his mistress, Paisley White, into the house openly. Citing an excuse that my grave ruined the luck of his family, he would move my tombstone to a place, where there was a shabby mud pit.

My elder brother, Calvin Hoyt, objected to it and argued with them as best as he could, but Caleb and Paisley ridiculed him.

To make Paisley happy, Caleb even broke the legs of Calvin.

Later, Calvin took my ashes away, but Caleb went crazy, saying that he wanted to be buried with me after he died.

But he was so dirty. Why would I want him?

01.

Three years after I died, my house in hell suddenly began to leak rain.

It worried me so much. For so many years, I had been living frugally. Only then could I stay in this house. My husband, Paisley, who was still alive in the mortal world, only paid tribute to me and sent me virtual cash every July 15th. He ignored me at other times.

My neighbor was a prostitute ghost when she was alive. Every time I came back with the virtual cash, she would say, "Your husband doesn't love you anymore. He's not even willing to brush you off."

Every time, I retorted with my eyes wide open, "It is impossible that Caleb doesn't love me. He is willing to give up his life for me."

At this time, the prostitute ghost would shake her head and say, “Giana Hoyt, face the reality. If he loved you, he wouldn't let you live in this shabby and thatched cottage. At least you should be in a decent tiled house."

Reluctantly, I said, "He's just too busy with work. It's not like he doesn't love me."

Every time the prostitute ghost heard me, the prostitute ghost would roll her eyes and say, "You are hopeless. You will be a loser if you are still alive."

But it had been three years. Caleb hadn't built a big house for me. Today, the house leaked with rain, and I really couldn't live here anymore. I planned to show up in his dream and ask him to send me some virtual cash so that I could move to another house.

When I returned to my room, I could hear noises of a man and a woman making love in the room.

I was familiar with the man's voice. Every time, he looked anxious. As for the woman, I was more familiar with her. She was my assistant in the mortal world, Paisley White. I had once saved her when I was alive.

Paisley called out coquettishly again and again while asking Caleb, "Who's better, Giana Hoyt or me?"

"Of course it's you. She's insensible and dumb. Besides, she's dead. Why do you always mention her, the deceased?"

I suddenly felt a burst of sharp pain in my heart. It turned out that even a ghost would feel pain.

I would never forget what Caleb had told me. He said that I was different from other women. I was traditional, and he liked me to be dignified and sensible.

I had not forgotten about the official business. Before I could think of a way to remind him of me, his cell phone rang.

At the sight of the phone number, Caleb seemed to have lost interest.

He said impatiently to the one on the other end of the phone, "Calvin Hoyt, I don't care. You insist on saying that the ashes in the tomb of my family's cemetery belong to Giana Hoyt, but my family won't accept that kind of rubbish. Even if we have to put up with a petty pet in it, we won't accept ashes of unknown origin. Tell Giana Hoyt to give up on fighting for my favor."

"Did he mean that I pretended to be dead?"

My head throbbed in pain. Something seemed to be surging in my mind.

Paisley, who was on the side, wouldn't do as Caleb said. She asked him to compensate her. The two of them instantly got together again.

02.

I looked at them numbly, feeling tortuous pain in my heart. No wonder I could only live in a shabby and thatched cottage for so many years. It turned out that Caleb had never sent virtual cash to me.

I left resentfully. When the prostitute ghost saw me like this, she acted like she had long expected it. She said, "I told you that your man was unreliable. I, who have been dominant in the relationship business for thousands of years, have seen many heartless men. When you were alive, you were fine. When you weren't, you were trash."

Chapter 2

I touched my aching head. Suddenly, I remembered something.

I used to be in love with Caleb. We had been together since we were at college. After graduation, we started a business together and got married. We were a perfect match.

Later on, Paisley appeared.

Her family valued boys more than girls, so she was driven out of the house. I picked her up in the heavy rain. She, who had dropped out of junior high school, had been working to support her family for so many years, but she didn't have a good ending.

At that time, I felt very sorry for her. I took her home and taught her some knowledge attentively. I applied for classes for her, let her get a certificate, and sent her abroad for further study for three years.

It was only later that I found out that Caleb would visit her from time to time during her three years abroad.

I was not the only one who felt sorry for her. Caleb was even more distressed about her than I did. He caressed her on the bed.

I suddenly came to my senses. I recalled the past between me and Caleb. "How could he love me? He has been paying attention to the inspiring Paisley. He only has her on his mind."

"But since he treated me like this, who has been sending virtual cash to me?"

When I returned to Caleb's house, I found that it had changed a lot. It was full of stuff that was Paisley's favorite.

They were still hooking around every day, but it was strange that Caleb didn't marry Paisley.

Paisley was acting like a spoiled child, saying, "Caleb, when will we go get our marriage certificates? How long has it been since Giana is missing? Could it be that we will never get married if she doesn't appear?"

Originally, the two of them were affectionate. Unexpectedly, her words angered Caleb again. He said, "Didn't I tell you that you're just a sugar daughter that I've raised? Don't dream of becoming Mrs. Moore. Even if Giana hates me for cheating, she'll forever be the Mrs. Moore of the Moore family. She'll be at the cemetery of the Moore family."

Hearing his disgusting remarks, I suddenly felt that it was funny. "Hasn't he always wanted to move my grave out?"

Paisley felt so aggrieved, but she didn't dare to refute her. After all, all of her luxurious things came from Caleb. She could only comfort herself. Then she acted like a spoiled child in front of Caleb.

Caleb was satisfied with her submission. When Paisley was with him, she admired him and acted coquettishly in front of him, which was something that I would never do.

I used to be affectionate and passionate when I was with Caleb. After starting a business, we became busier and busier. When we had dinner together, it was the nanny who had prepared the dinner. In addition to having meetings, we talked about work when we were together.

Our sex in bed was like handing in homework. We would have sex three times a week, which sounded like we were having intercourse frequently, but we slept after venting our passion. We didn't bother each other.

Outsiders thought that we got along. Caleb said that he liked me for being gentle and generous. We both knew that our relationship had changed and our passion had faded.

The first time that we disagreed was not because of his cheating. Instead, it was because he had invested in his friend's company. When he wanted to transfer the assets, I suddenly realized that I didn't understand the man sleeping next to me.

It was the first time I had been so domineering. I took back all the money directly.

I would always remember that day when he looked at me indifferently. Not long after that, he was with Paisley.

03.

It was not difficult to find out what was going on between them. After all, Caleb didn't want to hide it from me at all.

I got a strange text message from an unknown number from abroad, which showed the scene of Caleb and Paisley having sex. That day, I sat in my office and stared at the photo for two hours. I wondered what had gone wrong between Caleb and me.

The more I thought about it, the more I felt that there were too many issues between us. There was no way for us to reconcile.

I didn't have much time to think about my afterlife. Caleb did as he had said and dug my ashes out of my grave.

My house collapsed in an instant. Before I could say anything, I felt that my urn was broken. My figure became blurred.

The prostitute ghost clicked her tongue and said with a sigh, "I've told you that all men are evil. It is the first time that I have seen someone dig up the deceased's grave like this. He's so heartless."

I wanted to go out and stop him, but there was nothing I could do. I could only watch as Caleb and Paisley dug up my grave.

It turned out that Paisley had an urn in her hands. She looked very sad. Caleb had been consoling her. She cried and said: "You know how important Penny is to me. How can you let others occupy its grave? Giana did so to disgust us. She knows that you favor me."

Yes, it was well-known that Caleb doted on her.

Among the crowd, I saw a struggling figure. It was Calvin, Calvin Hoyt. He was no longer the high-spirited president. He, who was dressed in rags, was fighting for me. He said, "Caleb Moore, I've told you that the owner of this tomb is Giana Hoyt. If you dig up her grave, you will be punished."

He roared, no longer the same as before.

I looked at Calvin, who was in a mess. My heart ached unconsciously.

I recalled that back then, Calvin, Calvin, didn't agree to me being together with Caleb. In his opinion, Caleb was a poor boy with a poor family background. After I was together with Caleb, he was unwilling to buy any luxurious items for me. He would occasionally cook some soup for me. For me, a girl born with a silver spoon in my mouth, such living conditions were poor.

At that time, I had made up my mind. Thinking that Calvin was prejudiced against Caleb, I couldn't bear to take any of his advice.

The last time I stole my ID card and married Caleb, Calvin flew into a rage and threw my ID card at me. Then he said, "Giana, you will have nothing to do with the Hoyt family if you step out of this house today. We will sever our relationship here."

I looked at him and said, "I chose the path myself. I'll take full responsibility for it."

After that, I left without hesitation. I heard Calvin smashing things in the room. He shouted, "You'll regret it."

Looking at Calvin, who was fighting for me, I suddenly felt a lump in my throat. Yes, I indeed regretted it. After I died, I finally knew that the only person who loved me the most in the world was Calvin. Unfortunately, there was nothing I could do.

Caleb was originally hesitant. The moment he saw Calvin kneel, he seemed to have thought of something. He directly smashed my urn into small pieces, saying, "Calvin Hoyt, aren't you a high and mighty person from the Hoyt family? Don't you look down on me? Didn't you say that Giana would have a hard time living with me? Why are you so pitiful right now? Can't you even set up a burial ground? Didn't you value this urn? I have been questioning you for so long, but you refused to tell me where Giana went. Instead, you used a fake urn to fool me, right? Today, I'll kick this nobody out. I won't give this burial ground to you no matter what."

Then, he kicked my ashes. A gust of wind happened to blow away the ashes.

Calvin collapsed and sat on the ground. He kept muttering, "You will be punished. You will be punished..."

He continuously cursed Caleb, enraging Caleb. Caleb walked over and kicked him over, saying, "Calvin Hoyt, I want you dead right now. It is as easy for me as killing an ant. Do you think your family is the same Hoyt family from back then? The Hoyt family is gone. Giana can't even save you even if she returns. You hid her and kept me from finding her. This is your retribution..."

After that, he kept stepping on Calvin's legs.

It wasn't until Calvin was lying on the ground, gasping for breath, and wailing that Caleb threw my ashes at him.

"Accompany the ashes of fake Giana."

After that, he carefully put Paisley's box into the hole, as if it were a treasure.
