Chapter 5
In that moment, deep despair filled Marla's eyes.
I held Stacy's waist and walked out. Because I was afraid that if I looked at her longer, I would not be able to resist telling her that everything was fake, that it was all just a play.
But when I turned around, Marla was tightly holding onto my pants.
"Zac, I won't drag you down, and I can't be without you. Didn't you say before that we would face difficulties together?"
I interrupted her and said in a cold voice, "Marla, do you really think I would love you? If it's not because of your pretty look, I wouldn't be interested in you."
"Also, don't you feel it yourself that is there any difference between you now and a dog?"
I blurted out all the cruel words I could think of.
Marla was trembling all over.
"Marla, do you really like being my dog so much? Will you do whatever I tell you to do?"
On Marla's desperate face, it seemed that she saw the hope and instantly her eyes glittered.
But the words I said afterwards shattered all her hope.
"Kneel in front of us and lick clean Stacy's high heels that had just been dirtied."
There was a trace of stubbornness on Marla's face.
I shouted in my heart, "Please don't."
But it only lasted for a few seconds before Marla was still stubborn stubbornness, and she knelt down directly.
While I was racking my brains to figure out how to stop her from taking the next step, Marla's mother appeared.
She pulled Marla up from the ground, slapped her, and questioned her, "Marla Hawk, what are you doing?'
Marla looked guilty, quickly straightened up, and asked, "Mom, why are you here?"
Marla's mother was so angry that she couldn't catch her breath, "If I didn't come, how would I know that my daughter with my much efforts is being treated like a dog! Come now, go home with me."
She held Marla's hand, wanting to take her away.
But Marla seemed to be stuck on her feet, standing still and refusing to move.
Her mother angrily said, "If you don't come back with me, I will pretend that I never had a daughter like you."
After finishing speaking, she walked straight out, but when he reached the intersection, she was hit and killed by a fatigued truck driver.
Marla rushed out, holding her blood-covered mother, crying heartbreakingly.
And Dion appeared by her side at this moment, like a savior.
He squatted down and hugged Marla, using the gentlest voice to say, "Sorry, I'm late, Marla Hawk."
Chapter 6
"Marla, have you forgotten that this old woman can no longer see anything?"
Dion's voice pulled me out of my memories.
If he hadn't said it, I would have forgotten that my mother were blinded by him too.
New and old grievances surged up in this moment, and I wished I could turn into a vengeful ghost and swallow him.
I rushed forward and shouted at him, "It's all because of you, you killed Marla's mother and turned my home into this."
But no matter what I was saying now, it's all like bullshit, or even worse than bullshit.
Marla smiled at him and said, "Dion, how could I forget? But doesn't she still have one eye?'
Dion laughed and personally removed my mother's blindfold.
When my mother saw Dion, who was almost naked and had blood stains on his lower body, a look of despair appeared on her face.
"Auntie, is it worth it to turn your family into this for Zac? It's better to be good and tell me. Otherwise, you may not be able to bear the consequences." Marla squatted in front of my mother and spoke with a gentle tone, saying the most vicious words.
"Marla, my family owes you, but your uncle has already given his life for it. Isn't that enough?"
She grabbed my mother's hair and lifted her face. "Well, how could it be enough? It was him who told my mother about my whereabouts back then, otherwise how could my mother die? My mother has been dead for so many years, and the interest is more than just a little when I only appeared now."
Although I couldn't feel pain in my soul, I still now felt a suffocating pain in my chest.
So that was how Dion talked to Marla. No wonder she hated our family so much.
Marla stood up and looked down at my mother. "Now you still refuse to be convinced until you're faced with grim reality." She called in a few big men who had just left and pointed at my mother.
Then she sat on the sofa behind and prepared to watch the show.
I knelt directly in front of Marla and knocked my head heavily several times, "Marla, please let them go, because it's all my fault, please!"
When Victor heard my mother's scream, he got up and rushed over, "Marla, I'm going to kill you."
Halfway, Dion kicked me to the ground.
Victor seemed crazy, laughing up to the sky, "My brother, did you see that? This is the woman you loved for a lifetime."
When that group of big men went out, my mother was thrown on the ground like a rag.
"Come on, isn't your son enjoying a life of luxury? His mother and brother have been treated like this by me, but why hasn't he shown up?' Marla sarcastically said.
I desperately said to her, "I'm here, I'm here. Please spare my family. Please, don't torture my family."
When Marla walked towards my mother with a glass of wine, Victor suddenly shouted loudly "What a crazy woman, Marla Hawk, my brother has already died, he died seven years ago, and now your heart is from my brother."
