Chapter 1
"Scarlett, I'm tired of this."
The man sat by the bedside, smoke swirling from his fingertips.
He looked over coldly.
My eyes reddened as I seemed to realize something, but I still asked stubbornly, "Why?"
"She's back."
My eyes turned red. A bitter smile curled on my lips. "Fine, if that's the case, I'll fulfill your wish. Let's get a divorce."
At that moment, I finally understood that I had been nothing more than a stand-in all along.

"Alright, I'll come over now."
After Levi took a phone call, he grabbed the clothes beside him. He glanced at me and then turned to leave.
Seeing him become anxious and uneasy just after taking a call, my heart was instantly filled with resentment.
With red-rimmed eyes, I suddenly smashed the wedding photo on the bedside table onto the floor with a "bang."
My voice choked as I shouted harshly at him, "Levi, if you walk out today, then we're truly done."
The man hesitated for a moment but still turned and left.
Only then did I clearly realize that three years of companionship meant nothing to him.
I looked at the shattered wedding photo on the floor, feeling it was both ironic and ridiculous.

Levi and I met in college.
Back then, Levi was the campus heartthrob, with an exceptionally handsome face.
Levi and I crossed paths because one time, I was cornered by a group of thugs.
He happened to show up and help me out.
I remember him back then. His personality was bold, with a gold and white earring on his ear and a bright smile on his face.
I still remember the first thing he said, "Are you a kid? Crying so much. You're a crybaby."
From then on, I had a new nickname.
Whenever I saw him at school, I always tried to avoid him, thinking he was a fierce person.
But every time he saw me, he would tease me, saying, "Are you that scared of me, crybaby?"

One time, I was at home studying when I received a call from Levi.
"Camila, are you really not coming to see me?"
Hearing Levi's choked voice, my heart tightened.
Because the name Camila wasn't my name.
In that instant, I was stunned.
The man on the other end continued, "Camila, do you know? I really love you. Let's not break up, okay? Please... don't break up."
As I listened to his words, the pain in my heart only deepened.
I tried hard to calm the sadness within me and then said softly, "I'm not Camila."
Just then, the sound of a breaking bottle came from the other end of the phone.
I vaguely heard his friend's angry shout, "Levi, are you trying to kill yourself?"
I couldn't help but worry. Could Levi have done something to hurt himself?
So, I rushed to the bar he mentioned.
By the time I arrived, Levi was completely drunk.
He was mumbling, "Camila."
Seeing him like that, I couldn't describe how I felt. It was suffocating.
It was the first time I had seen Levi so devastated. What kind of girl could make him so heartbroken?
I couldn't help but feel a little envious of that girl named Camila.
At that moment, Levi seemed a bit out of it.
When he saw me, he immediately hugged me tightly and kissed me.
My eyes widened. I didn't understand why he would do that.

When Levi kissed me, my heart was overwhelmed with joy for a moment.
His hands held me tightly. His handsome face blushed, and his beautiful eyes looked at me affectionately.
I hadn't even had time to feel happy when Levi's voice sounded in my ear, "Camila, you're still so nice to kiss. Your lips are so soft."
Oh, I forgot.
Levi thought I was Camila.
"I'm not Camila. I'm Scarlett."
For a moment, I was stunned.
I suddenly pushed him away.
In the end, Levi still held me tightly.
Under the influence of alcohol, Levi mistook me for Camila.
My heart felt heavy. In a daze, I grabbed the nearby drink and gulped it down.
When I woke up the next day, I didn't know why Levi and I were lying in the same bed.
At that moment, Levi glared at me fiercely.
"Crybaby, I never thought you'd be so cunning. I underestimated you before," Levi said.
I shook my head desperately, trying to explain that it wasn't like that.
I really didn't know why this happened.
It must have been that drink.
Not long after, someone opened the door and came in.
They carried cameras and took a flurry of photos of Levi and me.
Levi was angry. He quickly covered me with the blanket, hiding me from view.
Later, the Mitchell family and Perez family knew about this incident.
The Mitchell family and the Perez family were influential and well-known in Carterez.
To avoid disgrace for both families, Levi was forced to marry me.
At that time, I knew I liked Levi.
When I found out I was going to marry him, I couldn't contain my excitement.
Although, I knew he didn't love me.
As long as I loved him, that was enough.
That's what I told myself.

On the wedding night, Levi was dead drunk.
He stormed in front of me like a madman.
He tightly gripped my chin and said, "Scarlett, you've got some nerve. Camila is missing. Did you do something to force her to leave Carterez?"
At that moment, I deeply felt the hatred coming from him.
His gaze was fierce, as if he wanted to choke me to death.
I almost couldn't breathe. I could only slap his arm forcefully.
Was Camila really that important to him?
Tears welled up in my eyes.
"I didn't," I said.
But Levi didn't seem to believe me at all.
On the wedding night, he acted like a madman, constantly calling Camila.
I couldn't help but laugh bitterly to myself.
I never thought that the man I always admired would one day be so lost over someone.
Later, when I looked into Camila's situation, I found out that no one had forced her to leave.
She left on purpose. She even took a large sum of money from the Mitchell family before she left.
I let out a cold laugh. I wondered how Levi would react if he knew that his precious Camila had done this.

After our marriage, Levi and I always treated each other with respect.
But once, Levi got sick.
Our relationship improved quite a bit.
He held me tightly then and said, "Scarlett, let's stay like this forever, okay?"
At that moment, my heart was filled with joy.
Levi had finally noticed me.
