Chapter 1
Just for exchanging a few flirtatious words with my wife, I was mistaken for a homewrecker by her "boyfriend."
He barged into my house with a group of self-proclaimed "Guardians of Morality," dedicated to punishing immoral men.
"What? You have the guts to seduce a woman but can't admit it?"
"From the moment you became a homewrecker, you should have expected this day would come!"
"Men should abide by morality too. We, the Guardians of Morality, are here to punish you scumbag!"
The group shouted curses while wrecking my house in a fury.
Looking at the mess, I calmly sent a message to the lawyer of my company.
[Draft a divorce agreement in line with the prenuptial agreement, and make sure Daisy leaves with nothing.]
[Also, have them compensate for the damage to my luxury goods and priceless antiques worth millions.]
Using my money to support a toy boy was outrageous!
——
I had just finished a video conference with some board members when I stumbled upon an outdoor livestream.
The screen showed a group of people parading down the street with a banner reading: [Guardians of Morality: Punishing Homewreckers.]
They were fervently shouting into their headsets and interacting with the viewers.
"Everyone, please follow and like. The host will soon broadcast a live punishment of a homewrecker. This is more exciting than catching a female one!"
As they walked, they reached the entrance of a residential complex.
I was taken aback—it was my complex.
The comments section was buzzing.
[No way, this homewrecker lives in my neighborhood? Disgusting!]
[I heard the more upscale the complex, the more homewreckers there are.]
[I hate men who become homewreckers the most. They're useless and morally corrupt. Hurry up, I can't wait to see them catch this guy!]
As the viewership soared, the host, filled with excitement, urged everyone to follow and like.
He even promised to rush to the homewrecker's house once they hit a hundred thousand followers.
I usually have no interest in such streams and was about to swipe away when I recognized someone on the screen.
My wife's new assistant, Webster Leopold.
After we got married, my wife said she didn't want to rely on me financially and wanted to establish her own career.
I funded her ventures in luxury stores, beauty salons, yoga studios, and so on.
All of them failed.
Yet, she was undeterred, claiming she wanted to start a business and become a CEO. So, I gave her a subsidiary to manage.
It was more to keep her occupied and entertained.
To show her loyalty, she would always have me review the resumes of any male employees she hired.
That's why I remembered Webster Leopold.
At this moment, Webster appeared on camera, his eyes brimming with tears of indignation and sorrow, appealing to the audience.
"My girlfriend and I have always had a great relationship, but this shameless scumbag keeps sending disgusting messages to her and threatening me, saying if I don't break up with her, he'll get her pregnant and make me a laughingstock."
[Are there still such shameless men these days?]
Webster's righteous anger resonated with the viewers, who were equally outraged, vowing to help him bring down this despicable homewrecker.
I couldn't believe it. What a small world, to stumble upon such drama involving my own employee.
I exited the livestream and then called my wife.
"Honey, is your assistant Webster not at work today?"
"He took the day off. Why?"
"It seems he's in some trouble. Maybe you should check in with him and see if there's anything we can do to help. After all, he's one of our employees, and we can't let outsiders bully him."
After hanging up, the doorbell rang.
As soon as I opened the door, someone push pushed me back.
A group of people streamed in.
"Look, everyone, here's the homewrecker we're punishing today."
"Living in such a luxurious house alone, obviously, he got it by conning women."
Barely standing, several phones were thrust into my face.
Insults filled the air.
I looked up—weren't these the Guardians of Morality from the livestream?
How did they end up at my place?
I started to explain, "You must be mistaken..."
Before I could finish, Webster suddenly punched me in the face.
"You filthy scum! How dare you live off my girlfriend's money like this?"
Chapter 2
The sudden punch left me dazed.
The group that had barged into my home jostled each other to mock me.
"A grown man, and you choose to be a homewrecker? Serves you right!"
"No wonder you're living in a multi-million-dollar mansion at such a young age. You must have hooked up with a rich woman. How disgraceful!"
Neighbors, hearing the commotion, gathered around to watch, pointing fingers and making snide remarks.
One even spat on me to express his contempt.
I took off my suit, worth tens of thousands, and tossed it into the trash can.
Then, I looked at Webster and said in a low voice, "Your name is Webster Leopold, right? You've got the wrong person. I already have a wife. I don't know your woman. Please take these people and leave my house immediately."
Considering that Webster was an employee of my subsidiary and the victim of a homewrecker, I didn't want to hold a grudge over a misunderstanding.
I thought he'd take the hint and leave.
Unexpectedly, he got even more riled up.
"Oh, really? You have the guts to seduce a woman but not to admit it?"
He pulled out his phone, opened the gallery, and thrust it in front of me. "I have the chat records between you and my girlfriend right here. These are all the evidence of your infidelity!"
I took a closer look. His so-called evidence was my chat records with my wife, Daisy Judith.
In those chats, Daisy had saved my contact as "Small Dick."
Our messages were typical husband-and-wife banter, some of which were quite explicit.
Only then did I realize what was happening.
Webster's "girlfriend" was my wife!
And the homewrecker he mentioned was me, her lawful husband!
Since marrying me, Daisy had always spent money lavishly but acted sweet and obedient.
I thought she loved me and was entirely devoted.
But it turned out she was cheating on me behind my back!
And to top it off, she had saved my contact as "Small Dick"!
That was a lie!
Her betrayal, combined with the homewrecker coming to my door and slandering me, ignited a fury inside me.
I glared at Webster and said coldly, "Webster, I suggest you ask Daisy about the true nature of our relationship."
"Ask about what? My girlfriend is gentle and understanding. She can't be wrong. But you—anyone can see you're a shameless freeloader!"
Webster lowered his phone and spat. "A toy boy like you, my girlfriend wouldn't even look at you if you didn't harass her daily."
The streamers fanned the flames. "Definitely, he looks like a kept man. Who knows how many women he's serviced for money."
"Putting on an innocent act for whom? We're not naive little girls."
"That's right. Addicted to selling yourself, huh?"
The livestream chat exploded with hateful comments attacking me.
Seeing the overwhelming support, Webster grew more confident and continued his tirade. "I hate homewreckers, male or female. They all deserve to die!"
With that, he pulled out the spray paint and scrawled six big words on my living room wall: [ALL HOMEWRECKERS DESERVE TO DIE!]
Seeing the glaring words, I sneered. "Webster, you'll soon realize how ironic those words are."
"You bastard, stealing my girlfriend and mocking me?"
Webster stormed up to me, raising his fist for another punch.
He caught me off guard the first time, but now I was ready.
I grabbed his hand and shoved him back. "I'll warn you one last time. Take these people and leave, or I'll call the police."
Webster looked defiant. "What a joke. A worthless homewrecker threatening me, her real boyfriend?
"Living off my girlfriend's money and acting all high and mighty, I'll make sure you vomit up everything you've taken!"
With that, Webster went berserk, throwing and smashing things in my house.
The streamers got excited, too.
"We, the Guardians of Morality, have dealt with countless scumbag homewreckers, but none as brazen as him."
"Must be a seasoned offender."
"Folks, let's teach him a lesson. Keep those likes and gifts coming. I'll give you a first-person view of the demolition!"
Upon hearing this, the livestream chat went wild with likes, comments, and gifts.
Viewer numbers skyrocketed.
Egged on by the viewers, the streamers started destroying my house.
I watched them and gave one final warning. "Everything here is quite valuable. Be careful, or you might not be able to pay for the damage."
Webster grabbed a prized ancient vase I'd treasured for years and smashed it to the ground.
"I'll destroy everything. What can you do about it?"
Chapter 3
The ancient vase shattered on the ground, its fragments scattering everywhere.
An expert in the crowd suddenly picked up a piece and murmured, "This looks like an ancient porcelain. At an auction, the starting price would be a billion!"
Hearing this, Webster immediately stopped, cold sweat breaking out. He hadn't expected a simple vase to be worth so much.
"Mr. Leopold, don't worry. All this was bought with your woman's money. Her money is your money, right?"
"Destroying your own things is perfectly fine."
Their words made me laugh out of sheer anger.
Daisy was a spendthrift, and she also had a terrible track record with businesses. Every venture I funded for her had failed spectacularly.
The division I let her manage saw its performance plummet in just a few months, losing millions in value—less than a tenth of that porcelain's worth.
If she weren't my wife, I would have fired her long ago.
But Webster took their words to heart.
"My girlfriend's money is my money. Her stuff is my stuff. What's it to you if I break my own things?
"Everyone, don't hold back. Smash everything!"
With Webster's command, the group went into a frenzy. This time, they were completely unrestrained, smashing everything with renewed vigor.
Vases, antiques, luxury watches—they left nothing untouched.
They shredded my custom suits and limited-edition bags with scissors, like bandits ransacking a city.
My once pristine and orderly villa was turned into a wreck in mere minutes, littered with broken pieces and trash.
Reasoning with madmen is futile. Seeing them go berserk, I silently took out my phone to call the police.
I could only silently take out my cell phone and call the police.
Just as I was about to dial, one of the keen-eyed streamers rushed over, grabbed my phone, and smashed it to the ground.
"Call the police? A homewrecker like you, where do you get the nerve?"
"From the moment you became a homewrecker, you should have expected retribution."
"Exactly! Just because it's not illegal doesn't mean we can't deal with you. We, the Guardians of Morality, punish scumbags like you!"
The livestream chat exploded with comments: [So thrilling!]
[That's how you deal with homewreckers!]
I glanced at my shattered phone on the floor, then at the mob destroying my house, and calmly said, "I hope when it's time to compensate, you'll be as enthusiastic as you are smashing things now. Don't beg me for mercy."
They ignored my warning and smashed things with even more zeal.
They broke every antique in my display case, and even the case itself was destroyed beyond recognition.
They became more and more excited as they smashed things and interacted with the audience.
"Feeling the satisfaction, folks?"
"Look at this scumbag pretending to be refined while keeping all these antiques. It's a disgrace!"
"These treasures in his hands are an insult!"
"Keep the likes coming, so we can continue our righteous quest and turn this scumbag's home into a garbage heap."
Watching these maniacs destroy everything in sight, I no longer intervened.
I just cast a calm glance at the house's surveillance cameras.
Every bit of their rampage was being recorded.
In the end, they'd all face the consequences.
"Folks, let's see if there's anything left unscathed. Make sure this homewrecker has nothing good left."
With that, they stormed into my bedroom, searching everywhere.
"Here's a storage box!"
Someone came out of the bedroom holding a wooden box.
My expression changed. "Don't touch that."
