Chapter 1
When I was young, I came from a wealthy family and played with the feelings of a poor boy.
When we were passionately in love, I kicked him away and broke up.
Later, my family was broken up, and I had to beg for the chances to play roles in order to pay for my mother's medical expenses.
While he was dressed in a suit and tie, successful and famous, pointing at me in the nightclub and said indifferently.
"It's you, wash up and wait tonight."
——
"Ewww"
My fingers curled up and I vomited bitterly in the bathroom of the nightclub. The alcohol and blood stung my eyes.
My stomach hurt so badly, my breathing was disordered, and I lay on the ground like a dying fish.
After seven years, I met Dick Morris again today.
The man looked stern and emotionless, his dark eyes were hard to tell the depth, and the sense of intimidation from a superior was chilling.
But he could say with a smile, "June Smith, long time no see."
The next second, he could let someone get me drunk without batting an eyelid and also without mercy.
"Hey, stop playing dead!"
The sound of leather shoes came from far away, and several people came over and kicked me, then dragged me back to the box room in an orderly manner.
All of Dick's cronies had their eyes wide open and were filled with righteous indignation.
"Back then, Miss June spent money like water and bullied others by taking advantage of her power. She was so carefree at that time!"
"Hey, you have no money now? Call me daddy and I'll give you tens of thousands of dollars, just like sending away a beggar."
"What a pity. She despised Dick because he was poor and kicked him out the year he graduated! Otherwise, she could be the wife of a CEO now!"
In the center of the booth, the man's eyes swept over me lightly, as if he didn't want to miss any subtle expression on my face.
He had waited for this day for too long.
Just then the nightclub manager came over with a fawning look on his face and spoke in a familiar manner.
"Today, a new batch of girls have arrived. They are all pure college students. If you like any of them, I will send her to your room later!"
Dick stood up and pointed at me condescendingly, his eyes were as cold as iron and his gaze was terrifying.
"It's you, wash up and wait tonight."
As soon as I finished speaking, my scalp went numb, breathing became extremely difficult, and tears suddenly fell from my eyes.
A look of surprise flashed across the man's eyes, but he quickly returned to his undisguised contempt and hatred.
He probably thought I was dirty.
I lowered my head woodenly, as if all the strength in my body had been drained away.
……
That night, I was picked up by a nanny car and taken to Rose Manor.
At the end of the bustling city, this villa on the hillside was barren and had only a few well-trained servants coming in and out.
Dick held a long cigarette between his fingers, and his eyes were exceptionally cold.
He approached me step by step, looked at me leisurely, and said, "June Smith."
"Weren't you afraid of getting dirty before?"
I was soaked all over, crawling on the carpet, barely sitting up, and curling my lips coldly.
Having fallen from the ivory tower, the hardships of these years had made me hard and invulnerable. How could I stay the innocence of the past?
I hadn't seen him for seven years, but he had changed a lot.
The young man in the white shirt who had a gentle aura back then was now wearing a black haute couture suit, and his facial features looked particularly sharp.
"Speak--"
Seeing that I didn't reply, the man kissed me fiercely and bit my neck like a vampire, without any gentleness at all.
I felt the pain and heaved a breath, my eyes slightly wet, my voice so low that it was just a whisper, "Dick, please let me go."
His eyes were half sinister and half scrutinizing, and at the end, the corners of his mouth lifted slightly, revealing a sarcastic smile.
"Oh, you're so greedy."
"Greedy? I just wanted freedom, how could this be an unforgivable sin!"
He threatened me with my mother's life, not to negotiate, but to warn, "I built this Rose Manor for you, do you like it?"
I collapsed on the ground, my eyes became increasingly empty, and finally I could only close my eyes in pain.
Dick glared at me coldly, pinching my chin with his palm, his face was terribly gloomy, and there were mixed emotions surging in his eyes.
"You said you would never appear in front of me."
"But you still showed up."
"June, you will have to spend your whole life to pay me back what you owe me!"
He rolled up his sleeves, revealing a shocking scar on his slender white arm.
The scar was hideous and cold, like a natural chasm between us that was insurmountable, and it was excruciatingly painful to even touch it.
The man smiled, and slowly kissed my lips. His eyes suddenly turned red, and he gritted his teeth and said, "Did you see it?"
"June, you really have no heart!"
It turned out that he almost died the year when I had dumped him.
I couldn't help but tremble all over, with faint sobs coming out of my mouth. My expression was numb and I stopped struggling.
After a ridiculous night, he threw a bottle of white pills next to my pillow and left.
"Keep to yourself and don't cause any trouble."
The person who was once the closest to me now insulted me with the most hurtful words.
Dick hated me so much that he wanted to crush me into pieces and swallow me into his stomach.
Chapter 2
The next morning, the door was slammed.
A girl was wearing high heels, looking young and pretty. She looked at me hostilely with her cat-like eyes, "You are the woman that Brother Dick brought back yesterday."
"Well, you look like you're about to die of illness, who are you pretending for?"
Her name was Ella Windy, the youngest daughter of the Windy family, a famous tycoon family. She was supported by someone and was a mediocre little star in the entertainment industry.
"Hey, I'm warning you, stay away from Brother Dick. A woman like you who exudes the smell of poverty all over your body is not worthy of him!"
"Also, we're getting engaged soon, and he's my boyfriend!"
The girl's loud screaming and shouting soon attracted Dick. She immediately dived into the man's arms and stuck her head out to observe my reaction.
He was wrapped in a bath towel, not knowing where to put his hands. He sighed familiarly and rubbed his brows helplessly.
He said, "Ella, what's up."
For a moment, I seemed to see myself in this girl.
When I was eighteen, I was arrogant and looked down on everyone because my family was rich and powerful.
There was only one person who would call me Ju, which was very affectionate.
And now, he called others such a name so affectionately.
"What are you looking at? Get out of here!"
Wen Ella stuck her head out, she raised her eyebrows proudly, and made a face at me.
So, I left.
Long-term repression had made me almost as abnormal as my mother.
In the psychiatric ward of the hospital.
The woman threw everything at hand at me, cursing non-stop.
"June, you are useless! None of the food here is edible, and the servants don't serve me well!"
"I want to go home, let me go home!"
"You're a money-loser! You're an unfilial daughter! Why don't you just die!"
I calmly picked up the broken dishes and threw them into the trash can. The fragments cut a big gash on my hand.
"Mom, if I die, you will have no one to order around."
"Bang--"
The woman stood up and slapped me in the face with all her strength.
The right side of my face was burning with pain and I had a strange ringing in my ears. I stood there expressionless and let her beat and scold me.
For a long while, the woman was silent, and her disfigured face became more hideous and terrifying.
I touched my red face woodenly and said in a cold voice, "Go, go back and continue to be the pampered Mrs. Windy you are."
A cold wind blew in, and the other personality in her body awakened, and her eyes gradually turned red.
The woman hugged me, cried bitterly, and blew on the red marks on my face with heartache.
"Ju, I'm sorry, let mommy see if it hurts?"
"Mom didn't mean it. You're my only daughter..."
My mother used to be a very gentle and beautiful woman. She watered the flowers and sewed, was kind and thoughtful, and never spoke loudly.
Ever since my dad got into trouble, his enemies came to our house and no one knew what happened that night.
When I rushed back from school, the house was empty-handed, the woman's leg was broken. She was raped, and her face was disfigured. Her bloody face scared everyone.
She was in tatters and told me while crying and laughing that she didn't want to live anymore.
I gritted my teeth, held back my tears, and used the little money I had left after our house was ransacked to take her to the hospital for treatment.
But it still left her with hideous scars and psychological trauma that could never be healed, causing her to become mentally ill and insane.
She began to become irritable and impatient, and would take her anger out on me whenever things didn't go her way. Beating and scolding became commonplace.
I love her and hate her, but I couldn't just ignore her.
After my father passed away, she was my only relative in this world.
Chapter 3
The smell of hospital disinfectant made me feel like I was about to die.
Until Zion George appeared, patted my shoulder, with a hint of sadness between his eyebrows, he asked.
"June, have you been taking your medicine properly recently?"
In the late stage of gastric cancer, there was no cure. Did it matter whether I took medicine or not?
I stared into space, lost in thought for a long time, "...How much time did I leave?"
"Doctor Zion, don't hide it. I have the right to know my condition."
He sighed and said hesitantly, "Only half a year."
"Got it," I smiled at him, "Doctor Zion, I have a favor to ask of you."
"I have signed a voluntary body donation form. After I die, your hospital can use me for experiments."
"In the end, just throw my ashes into the sea, free and happy."
My expression was calmer than ever before, and my smile was pale. "Don't hand me over to Dick Morris. I beg you."
On the way back, there were crowds of people and heavy traffic, and I suddenly remembered when I was eighteen years old.
When I broke up with Dick, I was so heartless that it almost cost him half his life.
"Let's break up. I've had enough of this. I don't want to continue."
"Love you? I was just joking to kill time, you didn't take it seriously, did you?"
"That's ridiculous! If I lied to you, I'd get hit by a car and die when I go out!"
The boy looked exhausted. He knelt on one knee, put his arms around my waist, looked up at me with tears in his eyes.
"Ju, please, don't leave me."
"Give me a little more time, and I can give you everything you want."
I gritted my teeth and yelled, pulling off my backpack and throwing it at him. "See this bag? It's a limited edition worldwide."
"People like you can't buy it even if you work hard all your life!"
I patted his face with a sneer, my hands covered with tears, and made the final judgment.
"The one who is truly worthy of me is Zion George, who is of the same social status as me, not you. Do you understand?"
The boy's usually straight back bent for the first time. He wiped his tears, straightened up, and spoke to me viciously.
"June Smith, don't regret it."
"Don't ever appear in front of me again!"
"Otherwise, I will kill you!"
