Chapter 1
While assigned tasks to company executives, the kindergarten teacher suddenly tagged me in the parent group chat: [Sir, your daughter has been expelled. Come pick her up now.]
I asked in confusion: [Why?]
A user named 'Mr. Fins, Jonathan's Dad' arrogantly replied: [She didn't call my son 'Young Monsieur' when she saw him. What's wrong with expelling her?]
[My wife is Tamara Walsh, she is the sister of the richest man in the city. You dare have a problem with that?]
Before I could reply, the teacher immediately tagged Mr. Fins: [Sorry, Mr. Fins. When Jonathan first hit Geraldine, I ignorantly blamed him.]
[This matter was mishandled by me. Tomorrow I'll give Jonathan an award and praise him well!]
Other parents in the group also flattered Mr. Fins, saying his family is low-key but capable.
Someone even posted photos of my daughter, bruised and with torn clothes and tagged me, saying being beaten by Shawn Walsh's nephew was a kind of blessing and I shouldn't be ungrateful.
I was both shocked and furious.
Yes, Tamara Walsh was my sister, but she had been dead for ten years!
While driving to the kindergarten, I sent a message to the company's legal department: [Do a thorough investigation, find out who's out there pretending to be my sister.]
[Also, my daughter was beaten at kindergarten. Bring people there right away, I want them to pay a heavy price!]
——
When I arrived at the kindergarten and got out of the car, I immediately saw Scott Fins at the school gate.
Around him stood a large group of parents from the same class.
"Mr. Fins, you're too modest. If this hadn't happened, we wouldn't have known your wife is Mr. Walsh's sister, the richest man in the city."
"Exactly! No wonder I thought you looked extraordinary the first time I saw you. That's the aura of a noble family!"
"We're here today to support you. Jonathan is like the crown prince of our class, we can't let him be bullied by nobodies!"
"Right! Whatever could've made Jonathan raise his hand, it can't be anything good! I've already told my son to be Jonathan's loyal follower and protect him at all costs!"
Even my daughter's teacher bowed and scraped in front of Scott, "Mr. Fins, Geraldine lacks proper manners, she deserves to be hit and expelled. Jonathan expresses himself well, bravely and powerfully. I'll make him a role model for all the students!"
She continued, "Also, whatever Jonathan likes to eat, please let me know later. From now on, we'll adjust the kindergarten meals to suit his taste."
Scott proudly soaked in the praise from the parents and teachers like a boastful rooster.
When my sister was alive, she was always optimistic, kind, humble and upright.
We siblings were close and after entering the workforce, we fought side by side, making the Walsh Group stronger and stronger. But my sister passed away from illness due to overwork.
Following her wishes, I quietly handled her funeral and turned my grief into strength, working even harder. All to fulfill her dream, to make Walsh Group number one.
But I never expected that my ten years of hard work would become something for Scott to show off and be praised for. I was furious and confused.
Who was pretending to be my sister, allowing this man to act so lawlessly and bully my daughter like this?
When I arrived, those parents who had just been fawning over him immediately frowned, glaring at me in disgust. As if I were some filthy, repulsive thing.
Chapter 2
The teacher walked straight up to me and said coldly with disdain, "Your daughter was expelled by direct order from the principal. I hope you manage her better so she stops being so arrogant!"
I stared at the teacher and asked coldly, "My daughter was beaten at your kindergarten. You didn't stand up for her, instead, you expelled the victim just to curry favor with the powerful?"
The teacher replied indifferently, "This is a prestigious kindergarten. Of course we prioritize the students' social status. The Walsh Family isn't something lowlifes like you can compare with!"
My face darkened as I said sharply, "You'd better find out who I am!"
Right after I spoke, Scott suddenly stepped in front of me. He punched me hard in the face, "You think you're someone important? You dare talk about status here? No matter who you are, can you be more powerful than my wife?"
The sudden slap stunned me.
Other parents pointed at me and mocked loudly, "Hilarious! Even Mr. Fins is standing right here and he dares act all high and mighty about his status?"
"That man probably lives at such a low level he doesn't even understand what it means to be the sister of the richest man."
"Being beaten by Mr. Walsh's nephew is an honor for trash like them. What's he whining about?" The parents cursed with spittle flying everywhere.
Someone even spat on me and said I was more disgusting than garbage. I took off my suit, worth millions and threw it into the trash can.
Then I looked at Scott straight in the eye, "First, your son hit my daughter, now you lay hands on me. Who gave you the guts to act this lawlessly?"
Scott curled his lips and sneered arrogantly, "My wife is Mr. Walsh's sister. Disciplining two pieces of trash is just a flick of my fingers. You think I need courage for that?"
He then flaunted his watch and looked at me with contempt, "See this watch? My wife gave it to me. Just one of the diamonds on it could buy both your lives."
I looked closely. The watch was indeed worth a fortune, but for some reason, it looked familiar.
I looked at Scott seriously and said, "How come I didn't know Tamara got married and had a child? Why don't you call your wife here and let me take a look?"
My sister had been dead for ten years, how could she possibly marry someone and have a five-year-old child?
I had to see for myself who dared impersonate my sister and let this father and son run wild.
Hearing my words, Scott raised his chin and looked down at me, "My wife needs your permission to get married? You want to meet her? Who do you think you are?"
I said directly, "I'm her brother, Shawn Walsh."
At that, the crowd burst into laughter.
Scott glanced at my car behind me and sneered, "You drive some ancient broken-down domestic car and still claim to be Shawn Walsh, the richest man? Are you delusional from poverty? I'm Shawn's brother-in-law. You think I've never met him?"
The other parents also looked at my car and laughed even louder, "This trashy car is so embarrassing, I'd rather die than drive that thing!"
"Just look at how poor and fake he looks, you can tell his daughter is no better. That father-daughter pair deserve to be beaten!"
Chapter 3
"I really don't get why this kind of poor trash insists on squeezing into our prestigious kindergarten. Isn't it just disgusting?"
"He drives that crappy car and still dares claim he's Tamara's brother? Does he think bragging makes him a billionaire?"
The car behind me was indeed a domestically made Sheffield model from over a decade ago. But it wasn't cheap. It only looked plain and was rarely seen, so few people knew its real value.
I didn't expect this to become the reason they refused to believe my identity.
"Today, I'll show you the price of pretending to be my brother-in-law!" Before I could explain, Scott grabbed a brick from the roadside and started smashing my car.
The windows, headlights, hood, he didn't spare a single part.
Seeing that, the other parents also picked up whatever they could find and joined in the wrecking. After the windows were broken, they even climbed inside and wildly slashed at the seats and interior.
The once clean and tidy car was reduced to a pile of scrap metal in an instant.
"Look! There's a bunch of good stuff hidden in his trunk!" One parent smashed open the trunk and exclaimed.
Scott walked over, casually pulled out a painting and scoffed, "A lowlife driving a junk car dares to pretend to collect art? Trying to act cultured?" With that, he tore the painting to shreds right in front of me.
The items in the trunk were all collectibles I had just acquired at auctions and hadn't had time to store properly.
Seeing him destroy the painting without hesitation, I couldn't help but warn him, "These things aren't cheap. I hope you'll be just as bold when it's time to pay damages."
Scott cursed when he heard that, "Trash like you could own anything valuable? It's all fake junk, not even worth my lunch money! Besides, the Walsh Family has connections everywhere. Even if you sue me, no court would dare make me pay."
He then continued smashing the rest of the antiques and collectibles.
With him leading, the other parents followed suit. They tore and smashed at the contents of my trunk like maniacs.
Watching this group of lawless lunatics, I silently pulled out my phone: [Why aren't you here yet? You have three minutes to show up in front of me!]
Before there was a response from the other end, one parent suddenly snatched my phone and slammed it to the ground.
"Still trying to call for help? You're just a piece of trash from the bottom of society, stop pretending!"
"You addicted to acting or what? You really think you're some big shot?"
"This is hilarious. He probably wants to call a bunch of beggars to help him put on a show!"
The parents started laughing wildly again, mocking me without restraint.
There's no talking sense into those who are set on destruction. I had no energy to deal with them anymore. I just wanted to see how my daughter was doing.
Without lingering, I ignored them and walked straight toward the kindergarten.
Just then, the principal suddenly came out and blocked my path, sneered, "You think trash like you deserves to step foot into our kindergarten?"
My gaze turned cold and I said in a low voice, "I want to see my daughter."
The principal snorted, "She's already been expelled. A teacher will bring her out shortly."
As soon as he finished, my daughter, along with her backpack, was thrown out of the gate by the daycare teacher. She hit the ground hard and burst into loud sobs.
I rushed forward, helped her up and glared angrily at the principal.
