The Dagger in the Palace

Years ago, a favored imperial concubine, protected by the emperor’s love, committed heinous acts and falsely accused a loyal family of treason, leading to their extermination. The sole survivor, the loyalist’s daughter, later enters the palace as the general’s daughter to compete for the queen's position. She carefully orchestrates her encounters with the emperor, gaining his affection and eventually securing her place as his concubine. When she finally avenges her family and plunges a dagger into her enemy’s heart, the concubine reveals there was someone else pulling the strings all along.
